One huge difference is that 8520 runs on EDGE while this one is on 3G, so the internet is faster on this one!

You can, but it's VERY slow. I'd recommend something else. The Curve is aimed for texting/communicating. Get an Android if you want to browse the internet :)

Yes they do - a great deal actually. My 4th BB Curve broke last week and that's in a span of 6-7 months at no fault of my own (no longer charges; freezes regularly, etc.)

Well, here in Canada, a phone of equal price value to the Curve 8530 (150$) that I find to be the best competitor in that price range is the LG Optimus One. LG also has an Optimus Chat with pull out keyboard if you don't like the virtual one from the Optimus One. :) For 200$, there's an HTC model as well, but the name escapes me.

Got this at Best Buy in Orlando for $179.99 plus tax so it came to over $190....Florida loves it collect its sales tax.....$60 a month plus 3 tax a month with no contract....only thing which I would like is a flash for the camera but what the heck, it's a good phone....let's face it, phones are getting upgraded every day, so even the new Android will be old hat in less than a year....this is a good phone for the money.....no contract, no $120 a monthly fee....

I just got this phone for free from a friend who used at as a company phone. I did a hard reset on it to factory setting but even after that, the Camera still doesn't work. This phone sucks I have it and it freezes all the time and over heats and when it does that I cant do any thing then it just shuts off and I cant get it to turn back on and then the battrey has a mind of it's own some day's its really good and other day's it sucks and the camera for a blackberry it should have a 3.2 camera not 2 that suck's ass! The basic phones have better camera's thats sad!
