  • omg soo cute! R.I.P sorry for your loss

  • Now I know why my baby albino is swaying at me! Thanks for that. And sorry for your loss. I hate it when I lose one of my babies :(

  • I don't have a pink eyes rat, but I do have my semi-hairless rat. Thumbs up for rat lovers!

  • Your rat was PTS on my BDay :( Im so sorry

  • Beautiful rat! Rip cutey

  • so cute :-) :-***!!!!

  • This made me smile, two of my rats chex and flake do this, Poor chexs is so blind. (Not literally but she can harldy see) So she sways just like this all the time :) when i see them do this i always think they will never be able to live in the wild hiding from bigger animals :D They wouldnt be able to sit still. haha

  • My scratty used to do this XD

miss my little girl so much :(

  • Head weaving... bad sign. Sorry for your loss <3

  • Thats cute

  • please sub me <3

  • aww thats so sweet:D

  • Some rats (especially albinos) wave their heads back and forth because they have trouble seeing

  • We are, indeed, the champions my friend. We will keep on fighting, right to the very end. It is because, as I said, we are the champions and we have very little, if any, time for losers due to, as I previously mentioned, us being the champions. Of the world.

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW :')

  • Hi there, for another rat video like this, search for 'remy nod head'

  • all pink eyed rats do this my rat sadie does it

  • Yes, pink eyed rats do this kind of thing :) Cute!

  • Sad but ADORABLE.

  • Your rat does that because it's partially blind. It's a co0mon ocurance with albino rats. They're just trying to focus on something in the distance.

  • Oh, is there something about pink eyed, or albino rats that sway like that? Very nice rat, like a puppy ^^

  • im verrrry srry about snozbee who looks like my old rat lucy but their probably up in heaven dancing to this song! :'-(ilove your video its a great tribute to such an amzing and cute rat. i had ablack rat and beige rat and a black and white rat who were females that passed away. i know how hard it is to lose a pet. just remember the good times. im sure there all hanging out and playing in heaven. im sorry for your loss.

  • I just got a pink eyed hairless rat and she does this quite often, my other 2 fancy rats who have dark eyes don't do it. Rats have horrible vision and depth perception and pink eyed rats have even worse vision so swaying their heads back and forth is how they get a better view and judge distance. Since my rat is hairless it looks funny...like an old lady losing her balance lol.

  • My rat Kamen does this sway a lot lol. Last night I was doing the sway in front of him and making fun of him and he walked up to me and put his paws on my nose and squeaked like, "Cut it out mom thats not funny."

  • Rats do this (mostly albino, or rats that can only see certain lengths in front of themselves) so they can see farther, he's not actually dancing.

But, heck, he probably is! lol.

  • Snozbee is in rat heaven keeping jokada24's Luis company :-)

  • How cute. Some of my rats sway, most rats who do it do it because their vision is poor and they're trying to "center" or focus. But I never saw one sway this much, it's very cute, and she's a very cute rat. Sorry you lost her, she's probably met some of mine up there by now.

    :)

  • cute, my albino does the same, i gave my 2 rats cider this morning, iwill post a vid of there drunken antics

  • Just like mine, Pink eyed Ratties do this to focus on things.

    Great video thanks for uploading.

  • Sorry to burst ur bubble dude it aint dancing albino rats do that because they got bad eyes so they do that to focuss in on whats around them.. but good video

  • very cute :-)

I bet her and willow are swaying and dancing together at the rainbow bridge

  • Very cute rat! I have an albino with honey coloured spots and pink eyes, does that too! and a brown and white hooded rat, i love them they are so gawjuss! x

  • i have albinos too they head sway to see better

  • LOLLL! So cute! My rat bubble (aka Mike) does this too :)

  • soooo cute. R.I.P <3

  • He danced like little richie on the piano.

  • Albino rats tend to sway their heads when sniffing the air, while the others tend to nod their heads.

  • im right... mister jingles is blind -pets mister jingles-

  • I CANT GET ENOUGH OF THIS VIDEO =)

  • It's the coolest thing ever when rats do the "dance!"

  • aww.. im so sorry :( she was cute! <3 i love albino rats

  • My albino boy and his sister does this!

Is it because theyre albinos? It has my family puzzled...

  • Soooooooooooooooooo cute

    R.I.P cute rat

  • Sooooooooo cute!

    Sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute!

  • my maxxiee does this,

    he has pink eyes too.

i never knew that was why he did it. wow.

    RIP snozbee. x

  • this video makes me really happy! i wanna go hold my albino rat charlie now

  • ahahaha i love this video.. my albino does the head thing too. it reminds me of the SNL skit with jim carry where they're at a club!!! anyone remember?

  • OMG I didn't know other rats swayed! I thought our rat Buttons was the only one, hahaha. I saw something about red eyes... and Buttons has red eyes. Any correlation?

  • I had a rat that did that. I thought it was a visual correction when they did that back and forth 'wobbling'?

  • Cute he's dancing

  • im sorry for your rat...

  • Aww! Is she an odd eye it looks as if she has a pink and a black eye (ha ha pink eye , black eye) my rat really does dance, it's hilarius, but he only does it when "his song" is played

  • I feel ya man. My Mena died of a tumor and ew had to put hr to sleep with CO.

  • R.I.P Snozbee.

My rats also do this. But not as much as this beautiful little lady.

    lovely video. x

  • Moleogod is correct. The rat is trying to hone in on the object he's trying to see. Many rats do this but albinos especially because they lack the eye pigmentation.

Rest in peace little rat friend.

    And Freddie Mercury as well.

  • Yeah my rat Napkin used to do this. She passed away October 29th 2008. Sad.

  • Oh how CUTE!I have never seen a rat dance.:)

  • an adorable rattie with great taste in music.

    RIP little girl.

  • nice its so cute :) ~~

  • my rat was albino and died of old age and he died in my hands.

  • one of my albino rats would dance when my brother would play trumpet near it, well, when he practiced. We had 7 rats but this was about 5 years ago.

  • is that why?

because my rat daisy does this constantly, and she is not albino....

  • if she is by herself then shes swaying because she feels alon and sad, i would recommend getting her out to play everyday, trust me u dont know wat u got until its gone, i think this is the last day with my rat snuffles:'(

  • They're doing this cause rat have very low vision (albino are almost blind). They're ''scanning'' their environment.

I hope it's clear...my english is so so!! hihi

  • no its not food rats with pink eyes can not see aswell as normal eyed rats so the move the heads around trying to get as much sence on the back of there retainers so they can see better and judge distance

  • @moleogod Agree, I have 2 "normal" and before 1 albino, she would always sway as rats eyesight is extemely poor, an albinos is even worse.

  • he's so cute!

  • *CRY* OMFG. I watched that video at two in the morning...and now I wanted to show it to my friend and Snozbee...R.I.P rattie... :( :( :(

  • Our rat Swayzie May sways like that also. Doesn't it look funny too. It would be interesting designing some glasses for our white rats with pink eyes eh. Your rat is gorgeous, Great video :-D

  • wish my rats would dance...only thing paddys a fan of is food (little fatty :P) max is just a fan of sleeping

  • I named my pet rat "Stevie" because he does this all the time. It reminds me of Stevie Wonder. My rat has black eyes, though.

  • well dont take this the wrong way but are u sure u dont have a piece of food that youre waving back and forth because its obviously looking at something... great vid by the way lol funny

  • Nope, no food, Pink eyed rats sway like this to get a better focus as they have poor eye sight. This poor little ratty has really really bad eyesight so she sways ALOT! lol :)

Besides if there was food involved a rat wouldn't just stand there, she'd climb up your back along your arm and hang from your hand till you gave it to them!!

  • I can definitely vouch for this. I've have several pink eyed rats-- one almost completely blind-- and have witnessed the swaying many, many times. I work at a petstore, so I usually warn customers about that when they take home a pink eyed rat, just so they don't start to worry, lol.

  • @cursed2 I had a pink eyed =] she did that took. My little Ali <3 and yes, if it were food, they would be ALL OVER you trying to get it. I was eating a sandwich the other day, and my rat Chip comes up and tries to steal it. I put him on the floor away from my bed, and he did NOT give up. He jumped right back up on my bed. So I tossed the rest of the sandwich in the trash. Chip and Cosmo (my other rat...dumbo <333) JUMPED INTO THE TRASH to get the sandwich.

  • actually rats do that on their own. Especially pink eyed rats because their vision is so bad. Its a way for them to scan their surroundings. Although this one does it quite a lot. lol.

  • Definitely no food. Nobody believed that i got my rats stand on back legs without any food, before i proved that that only results rat clinging to food in the air

My rats don't sway like that because they are black-eyed, so its the first time i actually saw this.

  • I have an image in my head of rats hanging off a bit of baby rusk in the air now... and the funny thing is, it wouldnt suprise me if my lot did end up doing that if i tried!!

  • Our white rats with pink eyes do the same thing without food. Because they can't see very well they sway backwards and forwards to make out solid objects. It can look quite funny, especially when put with music.

  • XD my bro has a rat like that and its like a parrot, cuz if u dance, it starta dancing XD

  • soooo cuuuute!! my pink eyed rat does this but not as much as your one...she only does it in her cage

  • i love rats and and love queen's SO THAT'S FOR ME PERFECT VIDEO

  • my rat sways when she searches for my dog when they run around the bathroom or when she hides behind the toilet

  • lol i know iv already messaged this a while ago but ROFL!! its so cute

  • I have a black eyed rat that does that. Unusual because it's normally only the pink or red eyed ones that do that because their eyesight is so poor.

  • Aww My baby boys do that. its really cute. He does it mainly when he's in his cage. Can you eplain why because i know its to do with the eyes but im not 100 % sure. is it so they can see things easier?

    please let me know.

  • I think it mostly helps them to define shapes when they move thier heads back and forth like that. Its more common in pink eyed rats because they have worse vision but Ive seen ones with dark eyes do it too. Regardess its cute! :)

  • i had a rat exactly like that

  • lol cute!

  • altho we laughed our socks off great video and one very cute rat.

  • A really cute rat with a awesome taste in music! I love rats, I love Queen!! XD

  • it is so cute^.^

  • One of my two rats is swayin, too, but she isn't a pink eye, just a.. half-pink-eye (is that possible?^^) but it got much better, shes only swaying at times, shes excited or frightened, but shes the coloured nearly the same as yours.

  • cute!

  • cute rat :D

  • did you train her to do that?

  • Nah, she's a pink eye with poor eyesight so she sways to get a better focus on things. I just think its cute so i recorded it and added music when i was bored lol.

  • What a clever video and a cute rat!

  • That was so darn cute and well done! Thanks for the laugh and I loved it. What a cutie too.

I just love my rats! Thanks for sharing your great video :-D

  • What a sweety!

  • ADORABLE:D

  • lol so cute!

  • My albino rat did this too! Every does, because they try to see sharp pictures! They can't see properly because of the red eyes.

When my rat did this the first time I was so confused and amused!!!

    Nice clip!

  • rotfl hahaha that is the funniest thing ever mine cant dance like that its sooo cute

  • lmao my rat always does that lol XD

  • My passed rattie girl did the same exact thing. I cried when I saw this because it's just uber cute.

  • CUTE!! :)

  • One of my rats sway as well, I find it so really cute but she also falls off things allot which isn't that cute. I love your video.

  • wow, I learned something. Thank you!

  • Thats sweet. Albinos are known for their poor eyesight and they tend to swey alot to focus :)

  • That is a darling rat! It reminds me of Groovin' Gary, which I had saved but is now gone for some reason. The music went well too.

  • My two siamese's do this too! It's so cute but I always feel bad for them because they can't see properly. Especially when they fall off things!!

  • Lol aaw :)

  • Strange.

Rowan never swayed and Baby doesn't sway.

I have eleven rats. I've had as many as twenty-two at one time. ^^ Nothing impressive for a rat fancier. I know of people who have over two hundred pet rats.

  • Your video is cute! I had an albino boy, Squeak that swayed back and forth too (trying to focus). I always said if I could only put a pair of shades on him it would be the coolest little video to see!

  • lol:)

  • love it love it! i have 5 dumbo boys and a couple of them have pink eyes. i love rattie sways!

  • How cute! I had a rat named Ginger who used to do that. I called it her "Axel Rose" dance. Ginger is no more :( but I now have a really cute albino named Salty (check out her videos)

  • My name is Sorrel too, and I keep rats! I have 11, but only one of them is dancing red-eye. Rats are funny.

  • I don't know if you know this... but I've noticed that your pet rat is albino. The reason he is swaying his head like that, is because albino rats have difficulty seeing things clearly and so they sway their heads from side to side in order to get their vision in focus. Sorrel is cute by the way! nice vid! 5/5

  • Yeah shes a very pale pink eye, i have 3 pink eyes at home hehe, i take it you liek rats!

  • yeah i accually have 2 gebils... my mom won't let me have rats sorry for the double comment! ^^

  • soooo cute.

i have 2 rats and one of them (BAGLE)does this too.

dunno why they do... but id love to film it and upload it too!
