Channels Philip Glass' haunting score to "The Hours.' One of Virginia Woolf's novels was called "The Waves" and I feel so much of that vibe here. This guy is...amazing. God bless him. :)
I havent heard Usman music. He is really gifted. His performances are amazing and also his compositions. Congratulations for him, for such a talented soul.
The best thing about The Waves is if we close our eyes and try to focus what he's conveying we'll come to know that these are The Waves...... Thats the true and real beauty of music.......
Impressive! Pakistani schools have neglected the arts and music since Partition. We need to enhance the skills of such students with musical talent, and also help all students by getting them interested and involved in the Arts.
@daudpota Maybe cuz the whole point of the partition was to base a new country on islamic values. The whole point of the partition is gone if youre still adopting hindu customs. I know as far as what we've already adopted was inevitable but why enhance it even more?
@darkangel5968 islam DOES NOT, and i repeat DOES NOT, prohibit music.Music is allowed, as long as it doesnt contain inappropriate messages or it isnt used for purposes such as mujaraas, etc.
i cant post a link here, but go to
understanding-islam (write .com after that) and search for the authenticity of ahadith about music article, that is written logically and in the light of the quran
@daudpota Right ... but music has always been in South Asian veins (Muslims or not), and that's perhaps why the recent Guitar School in Lahore, as Ali Azmat, Omran Shafique and other pioneers have said, can contribute to 'another' level of Pak (especially rock music) like in the 90s. There are even band of 6-years old boys and girls. :D
What wonderful talent. He has the potential for greatness. I look forward to hearing his compositions in future. I hope he can build on his talent and not allow himself to be distracted by commercial incentives.
Plz release more, I youtube you everyday, assuming you post new composition and I have to say saein was the best!
