I had bought my PSP with Crisis Core and Chains Of Olympus. I didn't know which one to start off with at first, but the boxart of Crisis Core was so awesome, I chose to start with it and damn...I was blown away. Completely astounding from top to bottom. Even though it's not as good as the legendary FF7, it was a very good addition to the FF7 series. The story, graphics and gameplay were rock solid and if you think that this is JUST a PSP game, I'd give this game easily a 9.5/10.

Hey im having a tough time convincing my parents that Final Fantasy 7 crisis core and getting a PSP just for the FF games is a decent idea enough, but they are still remaining strong in their idea that getting a psp wont be a good choice of money spent. Is there nyone here that can give me a helluvua good reason to buy a psp???

Explain to them how so many kids nowadays dont give a damn about computors and just want to go off and take drugs, being intetested in games is a very good idea as it sharpens your hand, eye coordination and keeps your brain focused on solving puzzles and working hard.

Lay it on thick as to how many kids want to take drugs and commit crime playing a psp will do the opposite best of luck

Yes the is a game called dungeons siege throne of agony. Its a hack and slash in wich you can buy plenty of weapons and armor (mnonsters also drop things at times) There is another game called mosnter hunter freedom the newest one untie just came out its alot of fun. YOu creatue your own armor and weapons in that game you are the hunter not the heroe, also you dont fight a whole bunch of mosnters but mostly (if your lucky) one big monster and in fights were you have to play alot set traps bombs.

you can buy equipment (acessories - 4 slots) and materia (you might know it for the term "skills").

you can fuse the materia and other items to improve or create new and better ones.

this game has a lot stuff to discover, like any final fantasy game, so i would recomment it to you.

im a mmorpg fan and i bought this game recently, totally worths buying.

one of the best psp games so far.

i have monster hunter unite too but it can be boring sometimes... go for FF-CC, its my oppinion

I have not finished the game but i am almost there. I do know what happens at the end and i really might cry just because he's so likable...

The only thing that actually connects the games is their name, since that's the case why not change the name? It's kind of simple. On the right hand of ur screen there will be 3 boxes that are constantly rolling and stopping. In each box there will be a picture and a number, if the pictures match up, u get a limit break or a special event (attack, defense,healing, etc) But if all 3 boxes gets a number 7 then u get to level up but only if u have enough experience points to level up... if not, then nothing happens . Did understand that?

GET IT, the graphics are better than any game i even saw on the PS2! well atleast the amazing cut scenes.Its a prequil to FF7 so you realy dont need to to undertand fully, its very worth getting and GET THE STRATEGY GUIDE when you buy it!!! it is an amazing strategy guide!!!!

Well, Hellfire is an early enemy. That Zack in the review looked pretty highleveled so I'm guessing he was doing a mission. I have the game and it's pretty hard when you are lowleveled. It took me a good half an hour to beat the final boss. It all depends on how many missions you do and how good you are at casting materia.

Xplay gave this a 2/5 for illogical reasons. Who cares about unskippable cutscenes, most of them are short, and are important, story-wise. Also, they made no comments on the voice acting, but attacked the well-written script, saying the script was poor. Great review, but I would disagree with you that FFVII capitilized the RPG genre. It kinda did, but mainly popularized the Final Fantasy series and the JRPG {that's short of Japanese Role-Playing games} market. I can't tell you how many JRPGs were overlooked due to the popularity of the series. I'm not bad mouthing FFVII, it's a pretty great game, but I'm just counter-pointing the claims which I personally consider false.

The PSP has essentially become a dumping ground for crappy ports and hardly improved remakes that they've practically set the standard for the system: mediocre titles and games that were good but are anything but new. Crisis Core on the other hand is an original title that goes far above and beyond the set standard for the system which is really quite amazing. This game looks so good that it feels rather shocking that it's actually playing on the PSP.
