What the fuck are these French commentators talking about? They don't name Robinson or England or the score...it sounds more like two men fighting for their lives in a warzone.
@HitMeQuick my french isn't the greatest but they do mention Robinson a few times, they spend most of the time complaining that there were 4 french players covering the move and none of them touched him which makes sense since they are covering the game in France
A league backline would rip these fuckers apart..league backs are so much more talented than union backs with ball in hand..can you imagine a union team of top class league backs and union forwards..they'd be unbeatable in any league
@jock996 jason robinson step, dont act like league produces people of his quality every day, he was exceptional in both codes, he just went to union to compete on a bigger stage with more pay, and from my perspective, thank god he did, he was a true legend, just hope kyle eastmond does the same when he comes to bath :)
This kind of players change the logic of the game. If you check the ball was bad played by the 9 because was Robinson alon with.. 4 frechs? at least... and he just makes the magic to happens!!!
case closed. However i'm from australia, and from tuquris state. I saw him up close, and don't blame robinson at all for losing that high ball - hes HUGE
hi onepiecemachine,i'm french and the commentator said that Jason Robinson had a youth pollute by alcohol sex and drugs and thanks to god [he is safe and one of the best rugby's players the world ever known.]

Is my english enough easy to understand?I hope so.
Robbo certainly wasn't the fastest player in the general sense of the word where you consider out and out pace over 50 or so yards - but there wasn't a player on earth who could turn bursts of pace on and off, with changes of direction, as quickly as this legned - simply devestating and pure class - greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to watch him and play alongside him over the past 10 years in either code.
im a great fan of Robinson so don't take this the wrong way or anything.....I wouldnt say he's the category of fast players in rugby, but its the way he can just turn of and on he's pace thats unreal at the perfect times, full speed, no speed, side step, full speed. unreal like

He was wasted by putting at FB all the time. His attacks from deep positions usually ended in him "dying" with the ball and giving pens away.
dimgwalltameiben 2 years ago
Completely agree. The other problem putting him at full back was that he couldn't compete the high ball. Case in point - RWC final 2003 vs. Tuquri

Yeah RWC 2003 was a disaster wasnt it ?
