  • I'm practicing it and I think it's really hard to play!! Ur paying is awesome!

  • 1.you should try to find this song called Fantaisie By: James C. Lewallen 2. you aer phenomenal

  • you should try to find the song Fantaisie By: James C. Lewallen

  • Timeless excellence! Your playing energy starts in two places... Your feet (from Mother Earth) and your crown (Father Sky) then meets in heart. The two energies meet, swirl, and radiate out through your hands. Your breath swings back and forth like a swinging door between Heaven and Earth vibrating the very ether with heavenly notes that grip the soul. The flute is just a mirror reflecting this amazing beauty given to us all to partake. Or...Wow you really are great and I love it!

  • cruzeiro

  • Your tone is great, why add so much reverb all the time? Would love to hear just you, less mechanical reverb

  • very good unlike david white cloud burkhart and his very flute playing

  • the way you play has inspired me to continue my musical career thank you for this i wont give up on my flute i know i have a long way but one day i want to be just like you

  • wow i love the way you play it's enough to bring me to tears i can only hope to be that good your tone is excellent i still have a long way your music inspired me to continue my musical career thank you ever so much

  • Where can I find the music sheets ?

  • Who is Nina Perlove and why is she saturating YouTube with so many videos? Self-promotion, perhaps?

  • i'm playing this piece for an audition at Summer Youth Music School at UNH. i love this piece! you play it so well.

  • i have to play this song as a summer assignment for my school band...and im only in 7th grade

  • You are an awesome talent and have inspired me to begin practicing in earnest once again..know these are old,but thanks for posting....

  • holy crud! i thought you where amazing when i met you at the nku symposium! your not just an amazing flute player, your an epic flut player!

  • i wish i could play like you ... YOU ARE AWESOME :)

  • Beautiful Style! I like the "in between" style. Not too authentic and not too modernized. A+! Love some of the ornaments. Sometimes the bass line isn't so clear. Quantz says that there should be a bit more of the resolution on the end of trills I think? Really enjoyed this, really especially the ornaments.

  • wonderful ! :)

maybe you could put a little bit more nuance contrasts... you play this piece really fast and, for once, it is well done. thanks :)

  • OMg ur amazing i have to play this for nysma and im nvr gonna sound that good:-(

  • i'm so glad you posted this. this song is driving me nuts (listening to myself play it) but you give my ears a break. i'm also grateful that you aren't a bad player. the only other ones i found were only mediocre...i really appreciate your playing thank you.

  • that was amazing..ugghhh do i really have to learn this for my exam? haha killer..

  • amazing performance!

yhanks for post it on youtube!!

  • Wow the first movement sure is different from my point of view... well but I'm an oboist so i'll shut up now x) and it's cool to hear different points of view keep going

  • OMG !!!! Congratulation !

  • I'm struggling so much with this piece.. & it's amazing to see how well you perform it. Fantastic job! :].

  • i think,i played something simmilar on my final exam. maybe im not shure...

  • Very good! But wow! Your Allegro was super, super fast!

  • It is really a beautiful performance. Especially the 4th movement has flair!

  • Good Job =D

  • Grasz super, ale strasznie pochylasz się do pulpitu:/

    A to nie jest dobre.

  • Absolutely amazing!!! I'm glad, I didn't hear you playing this, before I decided to practice this *lol*. I'll never reach your perfection. But then, I'm an amateur :).

  • Very beautiful sound =]

  • You make me seem small. I know how to play this piece, but I can't do this nearly as good as you. Very well executed sound and intonation too!

  • very very good. i really like your tone in this one

  • AMAZING.

  • i think if she could memorize it it should help her in her physical posture, or movements, cuz staring at the music is kind of weird.

  • sublime, thank you

  • Amazing! Very good!!!

    Thanks.

  • Good Job!

I am playing this in about two weeks at a lowbrass recital on euphonium.

  • it is really good

    wow

but in the 3rd movement it just didn't seem to be a fantasia there was a lack of dynamics like in the first line of the movent you have three like set of notes in tempo only which i would rather show a difference in sound or dynamics the same as the second line

but the 4th mvnt was very increadible i liked it very much though i think it is just higher than allegro which is supposed to be

  • Holy smokes!!!! You're fantastic Nina!!! =) I've never seen a performance like that before! I very much enjoy the sound of the flute!! Would love to see you play accompanied by a harp!! Those 2 instruments are simply magical together.

  • holding the flute horizontally should effect sound at all. for one, she's a professional player, and she has a head tilt.

if you hold the flute away from your body, your body is more relaxed and thus, you have more room for your lungs.

  • indeed

  • Davvero brava, piena di cuore e musicalità. Mi piacerebbe davvero poterti conoscere dal vero ma la distanza non credo ci aiuti. Complimenti davvero sentiti. Ciao Simone

  • Where are you playing at? The acoustics are fantastic! This is an awesome performance!

  • I have to admit, this is the best flute performance I have ever seen. It's so beautiful, the sound seriously seems perfect to me. You got a new subscriber right here! I think your lessons will be of great help to me in my playing. I love what you do.

  • i second that.

    this is the best playing

    ive ever heard :]

  • Thanks so much for posting this! It's so hard to find a recording of it to listen to. I'm going to perform this for one of my flute tests and I'll try to learn from you as much as I can!

  • Your Burkart flute sounds amazing I've tried one myself and i ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!! But they are just way out of my parents buget and I can't afford one. How much did you pay for yours??

  • my god!!!

  • really well done! But is there a way to take out that backround buzzing because it was really annoying. But you did really well

  • im learning this song for my jury and i want my first chair but i sound so bad.. how do you play so fast? (the last movement)

  • I performed this piece for my senior recital in 96, but my primary instrument was euphonium. This is an excellent rendition, but I still hear this in the euphonium range in my head :)

  • Your sound is awesomely big!!! And pretty... Though I have to say that I-m one to play baroque wit a more opaque sound and almost no vibrato. Still, you're awesome!

  • How many hours did you practice when you picked up the flute for the first time?

  • I was 7 years old and I practiced 30 minutes a day.

  • Beautiful, clear sound!

this is my favorite of the fantasies...I love your way of playing it :)

  • Ahhhh I'm learning this at the moment... I sound like such an amateur LOL!

  • players like you make me wish i had picked the flute instead of the trumpet back in elementary school music classes...haha...

  • How long have you been playing for?

  • More than 20 years

  • Thanks Nina, a superb, artistic performance. A lively sound, and I love your ornamentations. I always feel the tempo of the Vivace is a difficult choice: to go like the wind or to linger more and bring out the 2-voice counterpoint. Looking forward to more of these!

  • Gorgeous! I really like this piece. I absolutely love the way you sound and the way the recording sounded very echo-y and enchanting in a way. Nice job! :D

  • Congratulations, Nina! I have enjoyed very much the Fantasia! Your sound is as beautiful as yourself.

I found your neck a little stressed while playing the piece. The double stop at the chromatic progressions surprised me, also the sudden arrest just before the finale.

    Best whishes!

  • Awesome!! Think I've died and gone to heaven! -Dennis

  • AMAZZZINNNGGG.

ah, i wish i could play this song half as well as you.

  • Thanks. Check out my other videos and be sure to subscribe and add me as a friend so that when I post new videos you'll get an email to know about it.

  • Bravo Nina! I really enjoyed the Telemann!

  • It is a wonderful performance.

    It yearns.

  • It's cool!

Your instrment was very striking for me.

    And I love Telemann..

  • marry me

  • Good player indeed but Teleman is not supposed to be played on a modern flute so it sound strange and like a modern music that's really strange and odd!

Probably you have to perform other kind of music

  • That's ridiculous of you to say. Composers from the Baroque and Classical period if they were alive today would rejoice at the beautiful sound the modern flute is capable of, and it's freedom. In fact, many composers of that time disliked the flute because of it's limitations and inconsistencies in pitch and volume. There's no flute music that's "Not supposed to be played" on a modern flute. I think most any professional flutist would agree with me on that.

  • you know that's not entirely true...

would you play any monteverdi on a modern flute? or how about cavalli? nooooo cuz it would be sloppy and weird. like the snl skit. :D

  • Music is music and Art cannot follow your rules except for yourself. A sick mind finds something wrong in beauty and this is lovely...wood or silver...does not matter...the soul comes through. Besides, there are so many horrible flutist on YouTube; it's silly to fault her. Excellent playing and expression. Been playing these for 30 years myself.

  • And to add... my instrument is Euphonium, an instrument that is rather modern and therfore suffers from a lack of depth in the repertoire. In recitals I've given, I've played pieces for basson, french horn, trombone, and this very piece itself. Bless you and your playing Nina. Well done indeed!

  • amen.

  • Thanks for the add, and fantastic recording here. Brilliant tone and control. I'm extremely jealous!

    Keep it up!

  • Beautiful! I love the tone you get. Such good control.

  • Very nice indeed. Excellent tone, nice dynamics and phrasing, with impressive technique in the fast passages. To subscribe to Nina's videos (recommended) click the orange button at top right (took me a while to find it).

  • Hi, thank you very much for playing this wunderful classical piece on youtube. Beautiful! Great!
