There is a totally legal alternative to doing this conversion, and you get nearly the same end result. It's not technically full auto, but it allows the same rate of fire, without bump firing. This mod makes it so it fires one shot on the pull of the trigger, and once again when you let go. It's extremely simple, legal, and can be done to any AK. Message me for details. If there's enough interest, I may do a how-to video.
@cauberallies altering the sear, disconnector timing to two stroke is illegal I THINK not positive, but i know the so called dead mans trigger is not legal anymore which used the same principal. my sar1 will go fa if you reset the trigger like your shooting a glock, just ride it in the sweet spot and she will bump all day.

Will work with any kind of bolt carrier. In case that there are little differences in the OAL of the bolt carriers (diff. manufacturers) the lever arm of the DIAS/LL might need to be adapted to the particular gun. For correct timing bolt carrier should release lever arm only in its very front position.

Very nice work. However, it is STILL just a "theory" until you can actually take it out for live-firing tests. Timing is everything with DIAS/LL devices, and the fact that there is a 3mm difference between the real auto sear's realease and the TDIAS (Theoretical Drop In Auto Sear) release shows that, at best, you might get a slower rate of fire. For that part to function under F/A fire, the maker would have to have a working knowledge of spring steel. Very cool model and idea, however!

No. In the US that makes it an illegal firearm. You CANNOT legally convert an AK of any kind to a full auto rifle. Anyone who tells you different is either: 1) Stupid, 2) ignorant(as in not stupid but unknowing of the myriad of different firearms laws, 3) evil(intentionally trying to get you in trouble or 4) a BATFE or FBI agent looking to trip you up and bust you.
Gun law is much more restrictive than "over there", very complicated and inconsistent, terms not clearly defined etc. Like many other laws as well... In January I was shooting a Tommy gun FA in Las Vegas - unthinkable here.

Germany is widely known for producing quality firearms (H&K, Ruger, GSG, etc.) and most common people in your country don't even have the chance to experience the beautiful firearms that come from iti. I absolutely love German culture. I took a German language class in my high school for two years and it really taught me how nice the people and country is there. Politicians are politicians, however. They are not fond on many human rights.
But just having been in America for a long time I was (again) impressed how friendly and helpful people were/are. That's a bit different in Germany and Berlin is known for it's rough style anyway.

You need the full auto disconnect to make this work. You can buy one, but it will take modification to work with the G2 trigger group. It's totally legal to have one of them, as it itself does not allow full auto function. The only difference between the Tapco disconnect and the FA one, is the FA one has a sort of a "tail" off the back of it. That tail is what the DIAS presses down on to release the hammer. Hope this answers your question!

its perfectly legal to own a fully auto wepon in usa if you have a class three permit witch cost $400.00 per full auto gun to register.,and very intense background check and finger printing.
It is a 200$. tax stamp not a 400$ class three permit per gun. Also you can not make and register a transferable full auto since 1986. An S.O.T. can still make full auto's but as a dealer sample or demo. If you do the paperwork as a Corp. or with a revocable living trust you do not need the CLEO sign off or finger print card.
It's just an AKM receicer w/o barrel. These are free for sale here. With barrel it would be part of a "war gun" and strictly forbidden. A semi-auto receiver was not available. There is no market here since you are not allowed to build your own gun - only certified gunsmithes.

I use both lightning links and drop in auto sears for my AR 15's. @cauberallies altering the sear, disconnector timing to two stroke is illegal I THINK not positive, but i know the so called dead mans trigger is not legal anymore which used the same principal. my sar1 will go fa if you reset the trigger like your shooting a glock, just ride it in the sweet spot and she will bump all day.

Of course they are banned. Full-autos in general and models after WWII additionally come under the "war gun control act".
These are receivers only. Barrels, bolts are the restricted parts (handguns frame too), rest is free for sale, FA conversions as well.

There shall be one riding on the safety lever and tripping the disconnector but would have to see this.
All the others I'm aware of require permanent mods to the receiver and thus aren't "drop in".

Will work with any kind of bolt carrier. In case that there are little differences in the OAL of the bolt carriers (diff. manufacturers) the lever arm of the DIAS/LL might need to be adapted to the particular gun. For correct timing bolt carrier should release lever arm only in its very front position.

Da ich keine Lust hatte min. 180€ für eine Deko-Ak auszugeben, hatte ich auf der letzten Waffenbörse die hier in Berlin stattfand (ist etliche Jahre her) 2 nagelneue demilitarisierte AKM-Gehäuse für zusammen 40€ gekauft. Aus BW-Beständen d.h. auf Höhe des Patronenlagers mit Schneidbrenner geschnitten und somit auch das Gehäuse ganz vorne beschädigt. Da aber die Mechanik i.O. ist, waren die für's Video ausreichend.
Die tauchen auch regelmäßig im Angebot von eGun auf.

1. Yes it's illegal, as it implies constructive possession of full auto control parts. Felony with penality of up to 10 years jail and $250,000 fine.
2. You can't register any new machine, because the registration for full auto ended in 1986.

@usmc2076 the only weapons i used in the marines that were full auto was the 249 and the 240 bravo. and mainly for suppresive fire. my m4 was full auto capable, but i never used it. like you said, hollywood bullshit and will most likely get you killed in a firefight. so many idiots idolize the "call of duty" mindset. and theres a difference between games and real life fire fights. all in all its over-rated. im glad to see another share the same mindset.

However if you are caught with an "assault rifle" such as the weapon PICTURED IN THIS VIDEO PRE CONVERSION you will be going to state prison for three years. It is the fact that enforcement of that "total" ban has fallen on the office of the attorney general (who wants to be governor some day) that keeps the store shelves stocked with "lookalike" weapons. Very nice work. However, it is STILL just a "theory" until you can actually take it out for live-firing tests. Timing is everything with DIAS/LL devices, and the fact that there is a 3mm difference between the real auto sear's realease and the TDIAS (Theoretical Drop In Auto Sear) release shows that, at best, you might get a slower rate of fire. For that part to function under F/A fire, the maker would have to have a working knowledge of spring steel. Very cool model and idea, however!

Gun law is much more restrictive than "over there", very complicated and inconsistent, terms not clearly defined etc. Like many other laws as well... In January I was shooting a Tommy gun FA in Las Vegas - unthinkable here.
Visiting Germany is a good idea but for a firearms enthusiast surely not the right place to stay.

Germany is widely known for producing quality firearms (H&K, Ruger, GSG, etc.) and most common people in your country don't even have the chance to experience the beautiful firearms that come from iti. I absolutely love German culture. I took a German language class in my high school for two years and it really taught me how nice the people and country is there. My German teacher stayed in München and visited most of Bayern for a few years. He said that München was so laid back that he would feel completely safe walking downtown there at 3:00AM! You need the full auto disconnect to make this work. You can buy one, but it will take modification to work with the G2 trigger group. It's totally legal to have one of them, as it itself does not allow full auto function. The only difference between the Tapco disconnect and the FA one, is the FA one has a sort of a "tail" off the back of it. That tail is what the DIAS presses down on to release the hammer. Hope this answers your question!

It is a 200$. tax stamp not a 400$ class three permit per gun. Also you can not make and register a transferable full auto since 1986. An S.O.T. can still make full auto's but as a dealer sample or demo. If you do the paperwork as a Corp. or with a revocable living trust you do not need the CLEO sign off or finger print card.

It's just an AKM receicer w/o barrel. These are free for sale here. With barrel it would be part of a "war gun" and strictly forbidden. A semi-auto receiver was not available. There is no market here since you are not allowed to build your own gun - only certified gunsmithes.

@DubSEnt I wouldn't even won't a fully automatic if it was legal that would take away half the fun, breaking the law is is what freedom is for me. I use both lightning links and drop in auto sears for my AR 15's. Courtrooms are just a ballet of bureaucratic bullshit with a bunch of fat suits that are so rich they can abuse the law and get away with it! Luckily I live in the Appalachian mountains where the law has as much say so on guns as they do on marijuana farms, which is none lol.

@DubSEnt and its only illegal here in the U.S. when u make ur ak full auto...u can own manuals on how to convert a semi auto ak into fully auto, but as long as u dont "actually" do it ur not breaking any laws
