Too bad there isn't a program like this in the states (that I know of)... I can salivate at the line up: Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Debbie Harry, Cyndi Lauper, Joan Jett, The Go-Go's, The Bangles, Grace Jones, Anne/Nancy Wilson.... oh well.
I saw The Eurythmics back in 1983 at the old Forest Hills Stadium (formally the home of the U.S. Open tennis) in New York. They were the supporting act for The B-52's.. Everybody wanted this unknown group to get of the stage so we could see The B-52's.
speaking of being light years ahead of everyone else it's a tragedy that this series didn't include Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins. how could such an amazing, otherworldly voice be forgotten so soon?
I think the reason people are being so harsh to Lana Del Rey is that we want a new Annie, a new Kate..

Yeah! Let's hear it for the gender play emphasis and that fabulous Grammy's performance!

Seems odd that they largely omitted her hugely-successful solo career. Too short, but interesting.
I agree with debarramike1976...there's only one Queen of British Pop. They really should have done the whole show about her!

totally agree with you packrattogo :)

yeah, but the one and only "Queen of British Pop" isn't Annie, It's Kate Bush. :P
Annie's great, but Kate is something else - she's lightyears ahead of everyone else and a serious pioneer for women in the music business.
