Leaving them like that isn't right. I think they only need a couple of years to help them on the right track before they leave. @Amy31415 Tell me, if Obama, who is supposed to be a democrat, and ran on ending the war in Iraq isn't gonna do it, what makes you have faith that Ron Paul would. Sure he's gonna say he would end the wars, but i would bet money that if he would listen to his base and keep the wars going if he were elected. And I never said he was going to get rid of it with a snap of his fingers now did I, that was an incorrect assumption on your part. I watched an interview with him, and he said very clearly

Look at Ron Paul's record, that's why I have faith that he'll end the wars. And I will bet real money that he would if he were nominated--he has often gone against his district and his base when it comes to doing the right thing.

@Amy31415 Did u ever think maybe those were simply for political points? I bet if he were Commander in Chief he wouldn't do it. Even if he did, as I've stated before, that's ONE good thing. I see most of his policies harmful to the middle class and the low income, so I will not support Ron Paul no matter what you say. You have your views and I have mine, plain and simple. Go ahead and vote for the guy, though right now Rick Perry is the frontrunner for the GOP so far, what a joke.

@Amy31415 that he wanted to faze both those programs out in the longterm, which many low-income families and elderly depend on, and will continue to need in the future, and I HEAVILY disagree with that. Face it, the only reason you want to elect Ron Paul is because you believe he'll actually end the wars, and he wants to legalize drugs. And also, I don't feel comfortable electing a man that I believe would allow his Christian idealogy impact his leadership, no more, no less.

I don't do drugs, legal or illegal...so you're wrong on that. I am, however, guilty of wanting to actually end these wars and I'm not sure why you'd want me to be ashamed of that. And yes, I fully believe that as commander-in-chief, that he would end them.
I'm agnostic, and don't share your fear of his Christian faith. He is a good person.

@Amy31415 I don't think you should be ashamed of ending these wars, I want them to end more than anyone, and it frusterates me that Obama is doing this. If he had a rational Christian faith I wouldn't be scared, but his views are quite radical. It's pretty bad when you don't believe in one of the main foundations of our country, this shows you will let your religious views affect your policy making. If a democrat isn't going to end the wars, then a GOP certainly isn't. These are my views.
