  • Dan is my best friend<3 im happy to have known him since 3rd grade:')

  • you guys are the best, i have always wanted kids, like since i was very young.

    have a wonderful Christmas

    and god bless!

  • >be gay

    >encourage a situation that causes many problems

    >continue to complain about 'rights'

i seriously, seriously hope you guys don't do this.

  • Nice Star Wars shirt :)

  • What happened with the foster teenager?

  • @wolfcat87 He got violent at the group home he was living at and were where prevented from letting him move in with us because we have small kids :O( He lives about an hour north with another family who are ok with his sexuality and he is doing really well

  • @depfox Awww, well I I'm glad things turned out well for him <3

  • To be honest you don't even need to say anything for me to be inspired. Just the vidoes of your family and how happy you all are is enough. It shows that its not only straight couples who can have that kind of life. I'm 19 years old, bisexual male, and have known since I can remember. The sad thing is that I don't think of myself as a typical non-heterosexual, I like sports, metal, cars and of course girls which is why a lot of times I find it difficult to connect with my gay friends

  • YOU TWO ARE SO SO SO SO BRAVE AND KIND BEST BEST WISHES FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WHO GAVE THE WORLD TWO STRONG WONDERFUL MEN

  • What is the opening song for this blog? I cant stop singing it! Thanks for the awesome videos!

  • You guys are my 2 new heroes -3!! I am so proud of what you guys do for the gay community.. For all of the gay teen out there that have suicidal thought..I just wanna say that I love you and believe me it gets better, just be strong and lets all fight together as a big family for our gay rights!!

  • Love the Star Wars t-shirt! Man, I can't really relate to family rejecting you, unless you count my deceased dad, but I forgot how tough it really is as a teen. Excellent vid! Is Jordan ok now?

  • LOVE you guys!

  • Awww, I hope Jordan is okay :<

  • like like like like like like ♥

  • And lastly, that's so amazing about being foster parents! I've always loved kids in a non pedophile way, even though lately, I have sooooo many pros/cons questions about having kids...there's so much to consider, and I'm scared...but yeah, if I'm never able to adopt kids with my future partner (assuming I have one, lol) I really would love to be the person who takes in kids who have been kicked out/ostracized by their families and be the exact kind of parent they need. You guys are great for that

  • Thanks for all you do!

    <333

  • Omg that's so awesome! I've already pre-ordered it! I know that I'm not going to be dissapointed with it! I'll be sure to remember pg. 215! I loved this project! There's so much I could say about it. By the way, I want you to know that you guys have inspired me and helped me out so much with my coming out to myself/accepting myself. I remember watching your videos a few years ago, when so much was different in my life..like the closet-case phases n all

And Buck SHOULD be in this book too :(

  • I just wanna say that you guys are doing really great job, and if the small minded people who can't see that, are telling you "bad" stuff that just shows how little they are! I'm 19 y. old and i believe that everyone is precious and amazingly perfect just the way they are born! And if you don't feel special just find that thing that makes you different then others ... trust me thats the thing thats makes you special, for me its singing... for you its something else:) BE WHO YOU ARE ! A BIG HUG!

  • I wish I had a life like yours where I had a partner that would support me in helping kids who needed help.

I'm barely out of the closet, my closet door is only open a crack, but at least now I can see some light, when I meet someone new I tell them I am gay at least it is a start.

  • what the channel name of kevin

  • You to are amazing. Thank you for making such great and very personal videos. You show the world, via you-tube that is it ok to be gay. That being gay is no different to being straight.

I hope beyond hope that i can one day have such an amazing and loving family of my own and that i can be as inspirational as you guys to help people to finally realize that some people are gay, its just the way we are born.

    Thanks again!!! :D

  • Hey fellas Queen here. Well its very cool of you to foster gay teen cause just as we saw in the vid clips you played, many gay teens have deep rooted issues. Having said that....I would tread light with the issue. I mean teens are in full puberty swing & things could get real creepy real quick. OK thats it for now. Queen will be watching........with raised eyebrows no less LOL

  • Mentoring Gay Youth is something I'm really big at doing...and want to do more....

its so important for our LGBTQ Youth to feel like they are worth something and are valuable in this world.....

  • I'm glad to see that people so young as 13 feel confident enough to make a YouTube channel about being gay. It's amazing. I can't wait to get a copy of that book on my shelf at home. And I hope Jordan is doing ok too!

  • Depfox pardon my impertinence. I sincerely hope that you didn't "directly" encourage Jordan to come out to his parents. The negative consequences of such an act can be disastrous, even "life ruining". At his age I highly doubt he could fully comprehend the consequences of his actions.

  • @evolutia1 No I tried to do the opposit...He tried coming out to his parents last year b4 he even came across our channel...His mother freaked out and his father really didnt respond either way. When Jordan started reaching out to us we have had many talks with him about his life and where he wants to be. I have told Jordan that if he thinks his parents wouldnt be supportive he should waite to come out...Jordan came out to his older brother and sister in law a couple weeks ago and it went well.

  • @depfox I told Jordan to take his time and not to rush...That he had plenty of time to come out to his parents...The problem is that Jordan is home schooled and doesnt have a big support network....Jordan made the decision after talking with his brother that he wanted to tell his parents. I hope they will take the time to help make life better for Jordan. My heart and prayers are with him. I hope some day he will reach out to us again and tell me a great story about how his family came together

  • @depfox you're not to be blamed :)

  • Okay, so you guys read my mind, finally.. I was wondering a few months ago what it would be like if I were to run away from home and just be your gay teenage foster son, and then this news! Of course, I'm actually fine, here in Canada for the most part, this other guy needs you guys much more than I do... Unless you'd like two gay teenagers? I promise, I won't be THAT much of a pain ;)

  • Good job!

  • I feel guilty for never being bullied :(

  • Brian and Jay, I get so much from your videos. Thanks for posting them. Keep up the good work guys. God bless you!

  • no videos on obama not defending doma

  • @Kumtekmeon actually... that WAS rude of me

    but EFF You

  • I don't know how to say what I mean because I don't know english very well...

Well, I realized that I HAVE to come out, before or after. So I decided to come out in a stunning way!

Reaching the fame and being an example for others gay teens like me, and also an example of the gay community. exploit the spot-light.

At the moment I'm writing screenplays and stories. I'm working on my novel and I've been selected for an important italian litterary prize.

    I'm on a mission!

  • You guys are so amazing for all you do. I'm always amazed at EVERYTHING you do for youths and for the GLBT community. Thank you, thank you thank you! Wow. you two are just amazing for all words to express. - Rupert from TheGLABs

  • I didn't realize there was a limit to the amount of words it would show but I hope you guys can see all of it

  • You guys are so inspiring. I'am 20 an still not out, but have a very committed boyfriend that I am engaged too(sadly we are unsure when we will be legally allowed to marry). I am going to graduate from college this semester an am moving away from my family where I will finally feel brave enough to confront them without the worry of being disowned and kicked to the curb. I don't know if you guys are able to email one on one or anything to give advice but it would really be helpful to talk to som

  • Great job on video!!!

  • Best of luck with the fostering. And who better than you two to foster gay teens? I have some friends who do emergency fostering, and they only do it for teens. They took in babies and toddlers in the past, but found it too hard to say good-bye. So once again, best of luck & God bless.

  • did anybody notice that at 0:27 Jay was trying to imitate Bryan's voice? I just find that so funny, and it just shows that you two are so comfortable with each other.

  • I think the stuff you guys do is really important for the LGBT community and society in general. Keep up the good work, dudes. :)

  • i think i`ll be making a channel soon as im 15 and going through a very weird situation were everyone else but my parents and brother know im gay, my nan granddad aunts (one is gay) cousins(one is gay aswell) all know i am. everyone at school know and i know what it is like to be bullied as 90% of school are very malicious and horrible. i hope i can help people as well as you do :) thankyou

  • Is Jordan dead?

  • @Franchifis no why would you say that???

  • @depfox His channel was removed... That's probably why they think that.

  • @GrimKittyD Sadly Jordans parents have removed his channel from YouTube. I Know they are talking and I hope that leads to a better life for Jordan. I keep you all informed when I know more.

  • @depfox I wasn't serious I was wondering about his channel too. I hope all goes well.

  • You guys are awesome opening up your life and home to help other people out. If karma is real you two should be winning the lottery soon.

  • Nice Star Wars t shirt :)

  • Not so much in the current topic but very good news I wanted to share with you: you posted a video about a Belgian couple (can't find the link again :/), Laurent and Peter, whose son, Samuel, raised in an orphanage in Bielorussia, would be refused a visa until very recently. Visa was given a few days ago

And Samuel found his new home yesterday!

Two moving videos there: ttp://yagg.com/2011/02/28/homoparentalite-samuel-a-retrouve-ses-papas/ ,in French though (can you understand a bit of French?)

  • Wow its great that you are helping people :). I like that you give another view of the gay life style

  • Ah teenagers, my thoughts and prayers will be with you, you will need it. But seriously, the kid really needs a positive gay role model. Even when things are really tough with that kid, just remember that you will be giving that kid so much of what he needs. You may be the very reason he doesn't become that statistic. With his family rejecting him like that, it is possible.

  • You guys are great and I'm really excited that you will be doing foster parenting. I think it will be great for you and the kids! These sort of things bring me joy! =)

  • And also, thanks for making the videos, cause you guys help alot of people.. Teenagers aren't that bad :P

  • That's a great pirate shirt.

  • Not sure how I got un subscribed but this video is AMAZING! No wonder I havent seen you two in a while. Glad I went looking for your channel :-D

  • You guys got a new intro? I like it

  • You guys are great

  • You guys are great. Thanks for being & sending such a positive message.

  • While I was there was "Defend Traditional Marriage" ad of to the right. With Michele Backmann in it................ Scumbag

  • Aww you guys are just incredible. I cried towards the end of the video. You two really really do have platinum hearts. I'm so glad you exist. You two really give me hope that one day I will marry my future partner and we will have a family like everyone else.

  • @AllGoodInThePNW What is homi

  • My Lord, just went I begin to think that you're extraordinary, you trancend that. I'm just speechless.

  • oh for fucks sake..what is wrong with people.kicking a family member out cause they dont fit your narrow Head-up-your-ass views? GAH! this shit really pisses me off! ..kudos and much strength to brian and jay for helping other gay people

  • I LOVE his voice!! ^^

  • Best of luck with the new addition to the family (in case it happens).

Also I love how you look at Bryan when he talks.

    :)

  • am 20 years old and never had a girlfriend so i guess am a fag too :(

  • @929999999

Why you need to find the special girl! That loves you who you are...

  • @929999999 ouch that is such a nasty word...Not having a girlfriend doesnt make you gay. You either are or you are not.

  • @AllGoodInThePNW Not to be rude but what is that Idthink Im actual Right by wht I think

  • You guys are awesome!

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios don't let the door hit you on the way out.

  • @hardinmichael1981

    Adam and Eve

    not ADAM AND STEVE

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios shut up you loveless agent of misery

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios UMMM OK thanks for that very well thought out advice....UMMM if God didnt make Adam & Steve who did???

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios ....but God made some ignorant person....

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios that is sooooooooo original!

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios Um... why were you subscribed in the first place...? -.-

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios Sorry to see you go....It would have been nice if you had said why instead of "UNSUBSCRIBED"

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios It is very RUDE of you coming on here trying to discourage others from subscribing by PRETENDING to be a subscriber. You are a homophobic twerp, who prefers for all gays to suffer and be miserable instead of finding solace in a world full of HATEFUL bigots like you. What these two men are doing is more good and worthy of praise than the WORTHLESS job your mother did raising a WASTE like you.

  • @Kumtekmeon 1 FUCK U

2 My queer ass of a brother whom I beat the shit out of subscribed

3 my mom did a great job raising me to FUCK women

    stfu asshole

  • @LooneyLatinoStudios Thank you for clearing my conscience. When I rebuke someone for their IGNORANCE and lack of Human-Worth, I always feel somewhat concerned, BUT your rant has CONFIRMED that my description of your uselessness was SPOT ON. I only hope you ill find it in your heart to apologize to your mom for ever being born. Go and learn to Love and Respect others, as how you expect others to love and respect you.

  • Thumbs up if you heard of these guys before Michael Buckley faved this. :D

  • i duno why im watching this if im not gay

  • @13olimpija ok. so move on.

  • @13olimpija Because gay guys are really fun and full of love and are great to watch while many straight people aren't and just want to fight and complain all the time. Gay people are much more genuine artistic and passionate then many straight people I know. That's why you were watching. Being gay is the golden essence of the world.

  • why arent i in this book?

    im boycotting it

    JK!

    YAY!!! xoxox

  • @peron75 lol your silly ;O)

  • @peron75 You're... What the Buck! :O

  • @peron75 oh peron you are funny!!!!

  • @AllGoodInThePNW I am really glad that your family accepted you coming out....It is the most important thing they can do.

  • ohh man this is great that more and more people are having the confidence to come out it mae me cry because i remember when i told my dad at the beginning of he year and the rest of my family... it was tough to tell them but they do accept you and love you for who you are but if that turns out to be the oppiste its ok it will get better for you - peace and love Justin Stohr

  • Awesome video!! Andre and I are now grandpappy's and we are still taking care of the teenage daughter too so it will be a lot of work, because of their personality but it is a lot of fun too. I am happy you are going to be there to mentor this kid. Of course you got lots of support from us. Take care!!

  • My friend Jordan came out last night to his parents...can every one send out some prayers or positive energy to him.

  • @depfox Absolutely...a lot of positive energy...I hope Jordan is doing fine after telling his parents. I got a little worried cause when I clicked on the link to get to Jordans channel it seems that his account is closed...I so hope he is fine...

  • @depfox Definitely sending him some positive energy his way. He's so brave for 13..

I am sad to say though, that I think he may have closed his account? :[

    I wish him the best.

  • It makes my heart hurt to know there are people in their 50s+ who don't feel they can come out. So. damn. sad!

You know, if every person in this world cared even 5% as much as you guys, my, what a better place this world would be.

  • I've said it before, and I'm gonna say it again. You guys are truly amazing!

  • You guys are the fuckin best, and taking care of more kids...... Check it wow

  • Thanks for being such great beacons of hope to all the people out there who need you!!! Goof luck with a teen ager! Gah!!! The Horror! The Horror!

  • i've preordered mine already, can't wait!

  • That's amazing to take on teens guys. Your house will either end up with great kids that help out or life forbid EMO teens #dun dun daaaaaa!!!#

    :P

  • I´m glad to see that you are doing fine...and taking two fosterkids, and considering helping a gay teen. That´s amazing:) I´m so impressed. I´m sure you will do great with the teen too...but of course it´s different from younger kids. Every age has it´s charm...take care

  • You guys are great, I don't know how to say it any other way!

  • promoting gay 13 yr will only play into the hands haters this videoshows poor judgment

  • @lestube001 How so?

  • @lestube001 haters are going to hate no matter what. It is not about THEM. Bryan & Jay are AWESOME & AWE-INSPIRING for giving so much of themselves back like this.

Let the haters wallow in their own hate. Why should anyone else care about haters or what they think?

Bryan & Jay, you two are a warm bright light in a cold dark night.

  • You guys just get more amazing all the time! What more can I say?

Any room left in the Vacation? I wanna be there!

  • As always, you guys are doing an amazing job making this a better world. Thank you from the deepest of my heart <3

  • It really does get better. I just came out to my mother, as in like, 5 minutes ago, and it has already gotten way way better:)

  • I LOVE YOU GUYS!

    YOU ARE SOOOO AWSOME!

I AM SO HAPPY YOU DID THIS FOR ME!

    -"Big Gay" Dan

P.S. My name was given to me by someone "busting my chops" and making fun of me. When he found out I really was gay he never forgave himself. But I kinda like it!

  • @BigGayDan1 I kinda like it also makes me laugh....And there is nothing better in life then taking a bad thing and making it good.

  • i love you guys you have no idea how manny gay teens that the its gets better project has helped in clueding myself i mean i know at least 5 people that it has helped and that just a small portion of the world thank you guys so much

  • Those are some really great youtubers you mentioned. Its pretty cool what they are doing for other people out there. And you guys are pretty dang awesome yourselfs :) I dont see how you find time for it all. Plus I think you guys will be a perfect family for this teen! Great job guys.

  • You guys continue to blow me away with all that you do. From helping so many young gay people out there including me to raising two kids and accepting foster kids as well. I am sure the gay teenager that you are going to foster is going to be very grateful to have you in his life. Have fun having 5 kids in your household again:)

  • You are the most amazing couple in the whole world. I can't find any of the detrimental problems that bigots are so certain about... ;)

  • Also, when people say "Watch out for a teenager", getting a foster teenager is different. The stereotypical teenager wants nothing to do with their parents, doesn't listen, ect. But, a foster kid will love having you there and want to be with you. And, with the way you're raising your kids, I doubt you'll have to embrace the stereotypical teenager anyway.

  • Every now and than I watch your videos and I'm reminded why I love you guys so much. You two inspire me so much so your voice of wisdom isn't just used by teens.

OK, I help raise my niece and nephew from babies to young adults. Hang on for the teen roller coaster. it's exhausting but with a little luck and care it's all worth it!

  • "Those of us who survived" seemed like a very depressing way to phrase it. Harsh reality, I guess.

It's awesome that you're doing the emergency foster care thing. You seem like you love kids so much.

  • @sStrategik I think we forget how tuff it was...I think the gay community needs to do a better job with young gay people...its important that they know they have a community even when their parents don't accept them.

  • OMG you guys are AMAZING!!!!!!! you make me even prouder to be GAY!

  • OMG you guys are AMAZING!!!!!!! you make me even prouder to be GAY!

  • Amazing you guys! So honorable that you're housing foster children. :)

I too was in foster care basically from birth until I was 5 1/2...and all of my siblings spent their whole lives in foster care, so that hits close to home. And I think you guys are just amazing! Wow.

  • It's heartbreaking to see that people would just kick him out like that =( I hope things work out, and it might be practice for when Daniel becomes a teenager =D (not that I expect him to be trouble!)

  • Wow.. . I thought after fostering your sister's kids for a while, you guys wanted a little rest and some time alone with you and your kids. How or why did u guys decide to be foster parents again?

  • @101starwarsfan We took a month break...Our social worker has become a really good friend...And she is always telling us about all the kids that get lost in the system...This also allows Bryan to stay home as a stay at home dad.

  • @JusticeXavierH WOW congrats.

  • @calicurajim Its Huming bird by trey lockerbie its from our movie coming out "Right To Love" it will be on the upcoming soundtrack.

  • The world needs more people like you guys

  • Give a hug to that 15 years old who's been kicked out for me please.

  • You guys are really great! Just amazing, thank you so much for all the stuff you've done for the community!! I wish I was more proactive, but I'm only open to a selective few people that I know and the internet =/.

  • gay youth suicide hits my heart! i been there as a gay teen! please get the word out that this is a unfortunate fact that needs to be addressed. reach out like depfox, let them kids know GOD MADE THEM PERFECT AS THEY ARE! and when u see or know of gay youth bullying by other teens or even adults...address it! stop it! speak up for gay youth!

  • i already watched kevin and he lives near me and thats so rare! with youtubers i have not found one that lives here

  • I really liked your idea of book donation. I've marked my calendar to pickup a few to donate. Don't be too wary of teens. They're not as tough to raise as the stigma attached to them. Remember the LOVE and it will all come together as one big FAMILY. :)

  • Nothing but love for you guys!!! thanks for being such an inspirational family.

  • You guys are so great. I love watching these heart-warming, inspirational videos. I think with the power of the internet and the gay community, gay youths and anyone struggling with their sexuality can find some solace.

  • Awwww thanks you guy you make me fell so so so good inside =-)

  • didnt think i could be more proud! soon your house will be a gay teen sanctuary, mark my words.

    1 LIFE

  • their comment being several months ago.

But I would appreciate it that since you guys seem to be doing a great job with your stuff and have regular videos if you would mabye mention me to have people come to my channel if they need some help or some advice.

I'll try to get some videos of my own going if I can, but currently it'll only be in comment and personal message form.

  • You guys are awesome.

I wish I could make videos like this to help others but unfortunately I just don't have the equipment for it or the money to just go out and get it.

If you wouldn't mind though I would like to ask you guys for some help.

I have had a couple people come to me and say that something I said helped them to come out of the closet in their life, though I'm not exactly sure what my comment exactly said since it a few months in between the posting and their comment and

  • Thank you Jay and Bryan for helping these kids! I came out 41 years ago to parents that said "so what, you're still our son". It breaks my heart to see so many kids having to struggle with who they are because of the hate and bigotry that seems so much more prevelant these days. We need MORE people like you, Dan Savage, the HRC and others to help today's kids shine a light into the dark places they may be in right now. It's ONLY right now, not forever.

  • It's weird how these younger kids are brave enough to not only come out at a young age but brave enought to come out and talk on youtube. For God's sake I am not completely out and I'm 22.

  • yeah, I agree totally, it must be the human condition, when we pass through something as scary and challenging as this experience, we seem to kinda forget and it's channels like yours and Kevin's that remind me that the pain continues and it's good to help others. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is an awesome video! Any kid would be lucky to live in your loving home.

  • Amazing. I'm not sure where I'd be now if I had an outlet like Youtube, or examples like you when I was younger.

I definitely think I'd have been more secure.

Bless you guys for taking in kids that need safe harbor.

  • Great work guys!

  • Damn, at 13 I would not have been sure of myself let alone make videos on YouTube about it. I'm nearly 21 and I'm only just getting to that place. Utter respect for those guys! Amazing to hear that you are helping out and hopefully fostering gay teen's!! The world needs more nice people in it like you guys.

  • @Fr4yTheStrings I know they blow me away with their Strength.

  • @depfox It's incredible, I can't get over that people so much younger and in much riskier circumstances than myself have the courage to be out and be themselves.

  • Jordan doesn't sound weird, I love his voice and accent!

  • @creamsodaistasty I know I so want him to go on American Idol and bust out in song.

  • :) awesome vid... truely will be blessed.

  • I think anyone who talks about being gay o youtube helps cause it helped me come out to my parents and i appreciate everything u do

  • You guys are such a big inspiration to so many people. Thanks for coming to Youtube and sharing your stories and views. You give so many people a voice! -Jacob

  • i love you guys. you help me out so much... <3

  • Nice video, good message :)

  • Remarkable it does gets better!!! Looking forward to get that book next month. Love you guys but it sucks that i have to view your videos in secret and away from my family and friends. Love you guys keep the hope and never give up!!!! ♥Peace Love And Joy for you all♥
