@not2beforgotten I figured something out. Just put a lever on the block that's right above the redstone torch (the one right next to the piston). Put one on each side and it works. Not as nice as having one lever, but at least it locks.

Guys relax i got you covered with the new 3x2 piston door. At 0:16 you see how there is redstone torch, block and redstone? Well get a 2 levers and place both of them on the side of the block, and when you do just flip both of them and you locked it and just flip both levers again to unlock it.

Ok for clarification. The lock goes inside to avoid people or mobs from following you. If you die inside with it lock then just go around it.....

I made a lock using pistons next to a one block drop, dont really know how to describe it but when the piston extends the redstone wiring gets cut off. This is so much simpler
