Yea Su-35, Su-37, and the prototype Su-47 are good planes, the problem is you have to actually build them and deploy them for them to be effective. There are currently only 15 Su-35's on active duty. There has only been 1 Su-37 that has been knowingly been built, along with the Su-47. Therefore the F-22 has no competition.
So why build an F-22 it just seems to be a waste of money. All one has to do is upgrade F-15's and 16's but instead we just get more and more in debt. Oh well I suppose we let the congress do the math for us as we turn our heads the other way. Russians are pretty smart...all they need is a few good ones to prove they're just as capable but not enough to look like aggressors.

Now, I work on the F-15 side of our base and not the 22. But I am very close friends with a dozen or so of guys over on the f 22 side and nothing like that has been found. Maybe a hand full of jets have that problem. But you cant say the aircraft is a peice of crap because of that. Dumbass.

-The F22 have cracs in "titanium casting" materials near the engine.

The US force in JAPAN dosn't protect japan but US interest in Asia. It's JSDF that protect japan for their lives. And You shouldn't forget Japan pay billions of dollers a year as US force's cost in JAPAN.
