  • man i love this video we complain here in canada about stuff that is so stupid and yet there are thousands of canadian troops putting there lives on the line and could be killed at ant time but they stay until the job gets done God bless every single one of them and in 5 years when im 18 im going to go to the military thank you all for every thing you have done for us God bless you

  • who ever disliked this video, id like to see you go over there and fight. oh wait your to much of a little bitch thinking that war doesn' need to happen. OPEN UR FUCKIN EYES SHIT HAPPENS AND THESE GUYS ARE WHY YOU HAVE A SAFE PLACE TO LIVE!

  • Very professional. I could watch these several times and never get tired of it. Actually made me feel sick from thinking about all my brothers and sisters who died, once breathed, spoke and fought. Lest We Forget.

  • @TaylorGerrior *thumbs up*

  • Song? I must know it. if anyone can tell me?

  • i join up when i was 16 into the reserves and since then transfered to the regular forces, i have been very proud to serve in Afghanistan. this was my calling in life. ive been in for 10 years now.

my parents are still scared for me, and that will always happen.

If u wanna serve get off the couch and do something about it

  • @CANADIANSCOTTYFD3S Thank you for your service to our country, Sir/Ma'am/NCM. Can I ask what Reservist BMQ is like? I plan on joining in a year on my 16th.

  • /watch?v=QRWNfURvXGI

  • what are some suggestions towards the physical training, im a bigger guy, but i am looking at joining up.

  • @gayelfmageezer I am in the military right now...All I can really say is try to get in shape by running and doing push-ups because you'll do a basic fitness test which requires you to be able to complete a minimum of 25 push ups a shuttle run a grip test and sit ups. If you are still thinking of joining I just want to say...good luck from a military friend.

  • @gayelfmageezer Wayne has the exact same reply I had, work on running and any weak points you may have, it will save you in the end. Even the most fittest looking people have issues at some point so try to strengthen yourself up and dont get discouraged when things get too hard to do, push yourself, never give in mentally and physically and you'll do an amazing job, it all depends on your will to make it.

  • @TashaRules I really have been considering about joining the canadian forces and I was wondering if its better to finish high school first or drop out and join. I want to join infantry

  • thats cool i want to be infantry to.

  • God bless Canada from a dutch guy ! you guys look alot like our army!

  • god bless Canada , always first there without ever being asked . we owe you a debt of thanks that can never ever be repaid . from a grateful Englishman and nation .

  • amazing video, i would like to share with legion my mother is in, as well as the legion in parry sound, ON

fantastic, and the troops shown, well done :)

  • man ive been wanting to join the forces, but idk i see the pride and honour they recieve.. but thats nothing compared to all that they sacrifice, i guess to be honest im scared of what will happen to me..

  • @srvumup When I created this video I was still a civilian, now I'm honoured to be a proud member of the CF, there are some things that shoot through your mind as you're signing up but I dealt with it and moved on to focus on the career at hand, if something happens, something happens and you cant do much about it, its just how it is. Keep in mind though, the CF isn't for everyone, I've had challenges along the way but they helped me learn and be the person I am now.

  • @TashaRules Do they care about height?

  • @beebop161 Im 5 feet, I got in alright, just as long as you can make the physical requirements they don't care though being short is sometimes a disadvantage I find it hardest during drill when you have to stay in step some tall people take some pretty mighty steps.

  • R.I.P. Frank Gomez....... a fallen Brother-in-arms.

  • And how do we know nuclear weapons even work?

  • What's an expeditionary force?

  • @number14s In short, A military force that fights abroad. Mostly used during WW1 and WW2.

  • God bless our soldiers because our government sure isnt. Lost a few buds over there but I will never forget them!!!!!!!

  • @1956shaker I'm really sorry to hear that... :( I truly am..

  • can I share this vid on my youtube account. I am honoured to be in Canada and that honour is cared with all who serve this wonderful and unique country abroad. I pray regularily for all of you and especial our forces who get so little recognition for what you do us and these you protect where you serve.

With all my heart thank you all

  • @The1stpaganmystic You're more then welcome to.

  • TCCC fml....

  • this filled my heart with sorrow

  • Joining the reserves .....can't wait

  • @mlgGAMER12321 You will meet great people... just remember "dont leave anyone behind"

  • god bless, give em hell! show them what canadians are made of.

  • RIP to all Canadian Soldier dead in Irak and Afghanistan .

  • @pasminou, while the comment is appreciated, please be advised that Canada has no official combat role in Iraqi.

  • @GhostSarge A formed by the Afghan army.

  • @canadathestrong I'm from Calgary, but I don't think Service Battalion is my cup of tea, but I do think they have a lot of trades that would benefit for future employment in the civilian workforce.

  • Hi my name is Private Matt Henderson and im a soldier now and im almost 18 , i have lost my brother in 2006 ( Cpl Luke Henderson ) and may he rest in peace , Iove you luke :(

  • @Millard97 Private...know that EVERY Canadian weeps for the fallen. I am so sorry for your loss...Thank you so very much for your service to our nation. Know that you are among the finest men and women ever to put on a uniform. Come home safe and sound trooper...please.

  • Great video! We fight for freedom and justice.

    greetings from Germany.

  • nice you should update it with the troops that lost their lives for canada recently

  • Fuck everyone who is dissing this video. If your not from Canada go fuck yourselves. If your from the States you should be ashamed of yourselves since we got into this mess because of your countries problems. I love my country Canada, these soldiers fought for our country and made us all proud. If you got nothing good to say then get the fuck out please. Show some respect too I have friends who are fighting in Afghanistan with the Canadian Army.

  • this is simply beautiful, well done.

  • Best fighting force on the planet is Canada...Its not always about who has the biggest stick it matters alot who the hell is swinging it. stay tru brothers and stay strong. May the dead walk peacefuly in heavens streets ur did ur time in hell.

  • @davethebear69 naw he's some morbidly obese american child who's butthurt cuz he didn't get his forty nine sausage McMuffins for breakfast like the rest of his fellow country men did cuz he was sucking to much dick at the time.

  • Excellent tribute to the many lives lost in the name of freedom.

Thank you for honoring these brave individuals with such an emotional video.

It invoked so much pride in me.

  • thank you so much. as a member of the canadian forces...this means alot

  • @puddlepirate91 It is we, the people of Canada that owe you thanks trooper...but words are not enough to convey the pride and deep sense of loss that every Canadian feels every time one of our soldiers die in the line of duty.

  • Great video. I leave for BMQ in Nov.

  • @pirson28 LEaving for BMQ in Nov also entering as EOT

  • I just wish our boys could stay off the "HIGHWAY OF HEROS" Everytime one soldier comes home he/she pass me on the 401 and this chokes me up each and everytime. Our boys will never be forgotten.

  • This video is really amazing, I think there should be an updated video made with the most recent slain soldiers.

  • why in the hell would any one not like this vid.... there are two of them >:l.... "if you dont stand behind our troops then feel free to stand infrunt of them"

  • Makes me feel proud of of country. Soon, I will contribute to be a Canadian Force reservist...these pictures make me want to stand in their place. R.I.P. Canadian fighters.

  • Very moving video. Support are troops.

  • like it but u should change the music ,, makes it kinda boring to watche ..

    but like the pics..

  • 5:14 .......and thats just the way it is.

  • Very GREAT video!

An excellent choice of music and pictures.

I love every single part of it.

It made me shed tears and I'm not too embarassed to say it.

I favorited this video and order to be able to watch it whenever I want.

  • Pardon me everyone if a commentor named MrJJackYT shows up on this page please ignore his/her BS and disrespect. this commentor has been going to canadian forces video's and tributes to bash those who have honourably fought and died for us. please don't give them the satisfaction of provoking you. And if you can somehow remove or stop there comments from showing up on these heroes pages I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated by everyone. Thank you for yor time.

    -a grateful canadian citizen

  • @drfye agreed

  • Preach it!!

    Cf80to01 you know what's up!

  • The guy at about 1:17 with the moustache is in the show Basic Up: Reloaded search it on youtube and you'll see.

  • That is not Wayne White (in Basic Up) that is Cpl. Francisco Gomez who passed away in the summer of 2006 (Basic up reloaded was filmed durring the late winter of 2006 a good indicator of that is when the Lcol. Commander of the base calls for a moment of silence for CWO Girouard and Cpl. Albert Storm, who passed away in late November 2006)

  • @TashaRules Actually, Basic Up originally started filming during Summer 2006 for season 1. Also, I was there for LCol Mercier's speech and for the moment of silence and it definitely was not during late winter...late fall maybe, not definitely not winter.

  • @TashaRules Francisco was my uncle, i joined a group in facebook about the canadian forces, saw this video and started watching it.......love the Canadian Forces..our heroes

  • @Cairo9o9 looks nothing like him

  • @walkertexasranger33 Did you watch basic up reloaded?

  • @walkertexasranger33 ya and the guy doenst look like any of them as the host of this vid says

  • Awesome, can't wait until I'm 16 to sign up with reserves then 17 to sign up with reg.

  • I Love this. Our forces need our support.

NEVER give up, NEVER surrender! We are behind each and every one of you. God save CANADA

    God save the Queen!

Thank You from all of my heart.

  • That was amazing

  • i shall favorite this because i have the decent mind to RESPECT!!!

  • "A True Canadian's Mind is set on peace..." Lester B. Pearson

  • how there be peace if you're bringing lethal guns and other weapons to other countries?

  • @MegaSergeant ,

Without stability how can you have peace?

  • WOW... Extremely ignorant comment!!!

  • @MegaSergeant

well i mean would you go to a country with no guns and try to convince people who have there mind set on killing you that peace is good? and jungle has the idea

  • how there be peace if you're bringing lethal guns and other weapons to other countries? ........ how do you suppose peacekeepers work? Hugs and kisses? The Canadians are great peacekeepers because the opposing sides know if they engage us they will get their asses handed to them. This war will be won through winning hearts and minds and a bullet in the brain of every Jihadi before he can blow his suicide vest.

  • I'm sure the people in the countries that you're intruding also want peace.

  • A nice tribute to those among the bravest Canadians.

  • respect

  • My husband decided he's joining the military today. I'm so proud of him, and so proud of those that serve and have served, who are with us and who are not. I knew Lane, 4:06 Growing up there was about 30 kids in our school from Grade 1-6. We were in the same class, however he was a year younger than I.

  • What is he going to do in the military?

  • Infantry

  • @fuzzyfishbones such a long wait to get into the combat trades its pissing me offf i signed up april 2009 got all my test done with in a month and still waiting!!

  • @fuzzyfishbones Good luck to you and your husband from a 20 yr retired service member....

  • ... speechless .. just beautiful...

  • truly canadian

fighting a war far from home

helping a country thats not our own

    keep up the good work

  • god bless our soldiers! especialy those serving in the middle east right now!!

  • We will remember. Proudly Canada. God Bless our fallen soldiers

  • Thank you all ( past, present and future members of the canadian forces ) for putting everything aside ( family, friends, bars, etc.. ) in order to serve our beautiful country.

    I remember

  • Pray for the soldiers in the field. And pray for the families of those soldiers and the families of fallen soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in hopes that we can one day live in a free, loving world. There is no greater example of faith and the disire to be a part of something greater than yourself than a soldier. Although they wear canadian flags on their shoulders, they are soldiers of god, and i am and will be forever greatful...

    -Derek Solano- Vancouver, BC

  • @SharpSho0ter99

Not all members of the CF(including myself) appreciate all of that religious mumbo jumbo being thrown in.

  • i agree

  • 4:25 - 4:26 that guy went to my school. RIP soldier. Pray for his family.

  • Hi good video! My respects..

Does anyone knows if is alowed for permanent residents citzens to join the Canadian Forces? and what`s the age limited? thank you..

  • Yes you can, age limit is 16 for reserves with parental consent and 19 otherwise, should be 18 in Alberta cause its different.

  • Good video!

    From your Former Cadet RSM

  • 4:12 Rest in peace Nate

  • correction , best video ive seen

  • Seeing that little girl cry that might've lost her daddy broke my heart. To all the soldiers that fight bravely for us every day - THANK YOU for my freedom.

  • Joining the Reserves

  • Me too, in either January or June.

  • hopefully ill see you in january ;)

    HOOAH SOLDIER!

  • Yeah I hope to be in in january too, planning on joining armoured too.

  • Oh? well that would be hilarious if we end up meeting, doubtful but nonetheless hilarious.

    Good Luck!

  • ah it'd still be cool, either way.

  • I'm doing Field Artillery if it all works out

  • @TashaRules there you go armoured is the way man im in armoured recce

  • @ziegelbauer Actually when I put my papers in I listed jobs in the Service Battalion because the armoured reserves, or anything relating to combat arms, is full in my city. I have plans of switching my choice when I'm doing my BMQ to Combat Engineers instead, and eventually in a few years move on into the Regular Force. Armoured still isn't a bad choice, trust me, it's one of the top 3 occupations I want, but unfortunately they aren't hiring LOL.

  • @TashaRules psh, artillery land is the way to go :p im RCA reg force stationed in gagetown, and besides the subject, thi is one of the best tribute to our soldiers that ive seen on youtube or anywhere online... very very well done!!!!!

  • @TashaRules my buddy is doing his BMQ right now and then off to combat engineer certification. everything he tells me about it makes me envious

  • @bonono12646 Tell your friend that edmonton is the best place for engineer cause im at valcartier and its horrible

  • @bonono12646 I've considered joining the combat engineers but right now my papers say Supply Tech so we'll have to wait and see, I may switch when I'm doing my BMQ.

  • @TheArmouredSoldier *HUA - Heard, Understood, Acknowledged.

  • awesome video I love it so much.

    Basic training In April

  • Basic in April as well . Infantry ?? thats why im waiting so long.

one of the best vids yet. thanks

  • are u in basic for a year or longer ?

  • BMQ( basic ) is 13 weeks plus 1, so 14 weeks total . first week is learning the ropes , papers, kit issue etc etc

  • Canadian soldiers are the bravest soldiers in the world, God bless, stay safe...

  • inteldeIIoI, i 100% agree with what u just wrote, its true all those that bash other nations do need to realize that yes we r all there for the same reasons! so again the points u brought up r all very much true!! and i give my hats off to you, my dad who is currently serving and all others who are serving and not just ours, but from other nations too. i myself just applied so i hope i get the chance to serve my country, it would mean alot to me if i get that chance!! so i thankyou inteldell01!

  • As a 14yr Reg Force veteran my thanks to Tasha for creating and posting this beautiful tribute. I have lost alot of close friends while serving and seen many military families go through alot of hardships. I've also developed close friendships with soldiers from other countries aswell. To those that think their country is better than there allies should realize we are fighting for the same reasons and all nations involved in fighting terrorism deserve the same amount of respect.

  • sick song

  • all this Canadian and American stuff. We definitely have our differences, but we fight and die together over there. I have friends in the sand box right now, and am hopefully getting over soon myself.

    Go Canada.

  • canada is awesome.........from a mexican whose lived there and back...............nice people.

  • i hate when other countrys think canada doesnt have a army but we do one of the best armys in the world

  • Our army is almost as better than the SAS

  • SAS is not an army...its the British Police special forces

  • yeah but no point in saying it at all.. because if they tried anything on us nice friendly canadian's we would have a whole nation comming to fight thats almost 40 million people larger than any army.. they can be trained just as good as our army now and im sure our brothers in the UK would come and help us.

  • Indeed

Yes we do. Even our own people think its shit. No pride.

  • God bless our Northern Neighbors.

    from USA

  • I just thought of something.... but a dictionary.

  • great video! i love explosions in the sky. awesome song choice. 5 stars

  • I love this video. I just lost a close friend TROOPER COREY HAYES!

was wondering if it were possible for you to have this video updated with the latest fallen? thank you.

  • Unfortunatly the original file that enables me to edit the video has been deleted but i do plan on making a whole new video for the soldiers as soon as i can. Sorry for the loss of your friend.
