If creationist were actually interested in the truth they would be evolutionists... But creationists aren't interested in the truth... They much prefer to have a religious concept they are comfortable with so they can fall back on the "Your just angry with god" excuse they always trot out.

@MrTarantulalover See you've made that common mistake: Christian does not equal creationist. It doesn't matter that 90% of the world is in some way religious (100% of people use to think the world was flat), 90% of the world is not made up of creationists. Creationism is not a science, but science does do a pretty good job of completely decimating it. Also the majority of the people in the middle east follow evolution (okay its evolution where god started to the ball rolling, still evolution).

Not that it matters ebcause neither of your examples have anything to do with evolution, there are examples of comological modelling & abiogensis respectively. However the Pope & the catholic church accept evolution as a proven science.

There is really no point in debating religion versus atheism, because the two things are incomparable. It's like debating whether oranges are more real than apples. Some people just fucking like oranges.
You can't use empiricism to prove or disprove spiritual ideas, and you can't disprove materialist ideas with faith or spiritual knowledge.
Any attempt at debate will either end up in mysticism, or ideological bickering. Mysticism is fine, but the bickering is getting really annoying.
