I can imagine being in LA, with a convertible and having fun and being happy...palm trees, nice girls, nice music in the car :) oh yeah...my wallet full of money too lol
FRANKIE BABYYYYYYYYYYY....YEAH!!!!!.....BAD BOY YOU!!!...LOL! FEEL THE WIND IN MY HAIR ON THAT JAM...damn i forgot i aint got none...lol...Always Great music from McComb
This guy is a true soul/jazz great. If only the industry stepped up to greet guys like him then music would be a better place. He's been brutalised by the industry to the extent he does all his own albums but the cat needs big production behind him to break big. Even had an album on Motown that was shelved. His Buckshot LeFonque stuff is pure class.
i know this cat personally, he plays it all but his heart is in jazz. He is a jazz player, his albums are soulful though, his live shows are always heavy jazz, he was lead singer for brandford marsalis cration buckshot le fonque, frank is a jazz head.
People categorize to try and accurately describe the music they've been listening to. Likely they could use another way to describe but generally these categories are fairly accurate. What's annoying is when I hear people dismissing certain genres based only on the genre. However the snobbery around categorization of music is overblown IMHO. If it looks like a bird and flies like a bird, I'll tell you it's from the bird category. Just sayin...
THIS BOY IS BAD!!!!!!!!!!! Why does music have to be categorized? Either use it or lose it. If you ever get a chance to see Frank, GO. Excellent musician as you can see, but live performances are awesome too! Support this brutha puttin' out POSITIVE music.
I think the whole point of categorizing music is just so that if someone does happen to like it they can easily find other music that sounds like it by looking up genre. I think we're all in agreement here that Frank is a great musician.
As the beginning of the video says, the name of the song is "V12". I don't know if it is on an album yet; Frank told me he wrote the song specifically for NAMM, which was in Jan 2008, so I assume he would put it on his next album whenever that comes out (if it hasn't already).
Some people say that the M3 is not so great when it comes to the piano but I think it's really good, quite a bit better than the Roland Piano... But it depends on your style of course and how good you know how to play, you can make the worst sounding instrument sound really good if you know how to... Just start playing and have a lot of inspiration, improvise much and don't give up.
WOOOOOOOOOOW!!!! When I hear this standard of demoing a piece of kit makes me wanna run to the shop in my PJs (1am over here) wake up owner of the shop and buy that M3!
Anyone whos viewed my channel knows I like Frank, he is a talent bar none. For those who dont know him check out his voice. EVEN BETTER!!!!!

This guy is brilliant...! I just discover a new Donny Hathaway with a George Duke influence...!
I wish there is more musician like him around, very high class playing when you understand what he can do with a keyboard...
Excellent.
