  • I think local and relative means the same...Then relative maximum and minimum can't be end points... So Relative maxima is at x= 9.

  • At x=1, the point is neither an absolute max (not the highest point on the graph) or a local max (endpoints can't be local maxima). Right?

    at x=1 the domain of the function is not contuning before 1 , how did you know it is the highest value around ?
