You put on a stock like this (or glass bed) for accurancy. Want to hit your target 8-900 yards away and fire thousands and thousands of rounds without needing to do anything with the rifle? Then this stock is the way to go.

I was going to purchase this stock, until I realized how heavy and awkward it is They are only a Bench Rifle. You would not want to pack this rifle on a long patrol or even a long hunt for that matter. Unless you are sitting in a blind.
I use the Mcmillan MFS-14 collapsible stock on my rifle! it owns!
@devel155 That rifle isn't designed for patrolling anyways, but I'd have to disagree on the long hunt part. That is a sniper stock and if a sniper isn't a hunter on the longest of hunts then I don't know what is... One just needs to man up when it comes to the weight if you want performance.

Just finally put a Sage CQB chassis on my M1A scout and it feels so much better. The weight in numbers is more but the balance makes it feel lighter and the recoil was noticeably less as well. Good choice.

If you want a proven combat stock for the M1A/M14, find a surplus synthetic stock. They R lite, no bedding required, humidity doesnt affect them & they are tough as nails w/ a smaller overall formfactor in places such as the grip. They are rapidly disappearing & there are guides 2 paint/camo them as you like. I found 2 at a recent gunshow 4 $50 to $65 w/o & w/ the metal. Solid Picatanny top handguards & underrails are available. Some stock smithing required. May your groups be tight.
Hmm...I like that it has that higher stock on the butt., for scope use. It looks functional.
I've got the M1A Standard; and it's heavy enough with the rail and scope - 'bout 12 pounds with a fully loaded magazine. Not sure how I'd be able to wield that rig in the field though. Anyone use it in the field? With a sling? Hows the balance...comfort...speed?
The EBR stock is not too heavy at all. Only someone with no real experience in assault rifles would thinks so. I carried a SAW M249 for a year over seas with no issues and the M14 Sage EBR comes no where near that weight, even with ammo and accessories. Maybe you need to hit the gym if you think it's too heavy and STOP WHINING!
JAE is meant to be a match grade stock. It's UGLY, heavy but works, I would never buy one for SIX-HUNDO...... EBR's are UGLY as well, too bulky and heavy, M1A/M14 already weighs 9.2 ish. Only way to go is Traditional, and not Springfield their cast receivers are shit and not up to Mil Spec.
theyre ment to be tough and reliable. and 90% of people think both jae and ebrs are sexy. and theyre ment for combat too. original is nice but few options.
JAE is not a combat proven stock its a match grade stock , EBR is currently used overseas, so yes its combat proven but still heavy. as far as your 90 percentile Id like to see the statistics on that! Im pretty sure that 90% of statistics are made up on the spot!!!! Original I can still mount a scope, Bed my stock, use rear and front lugged receivers, 1913 picatinny rails and hand guards are still an option so NO my options are easily debatable with Original design, VS EBR... without the weight.
I have 2 of these stocks and they are worth every penny! One w/a National Match Action w/Kreiger barrel that shoots like a bolt gun and one Squad Scout w/18" barrel thats light and easy handling. This video would be better w/o Eminem & 50.

That stock is a great fit for the socom II. It increases accuracy by being a pillar bedded interface. I thnk it looks better with a full Picatinny rail on top. Lame song by the way.

The stock is nothing but a body mod, simply remove the reciever( the guts of the rifle), barrel, etc. Simply take your original rifle and carefully remove the stock it came with. Very rarely do you need spare parts, but I would double check to make sure.

The EBR stock is not too heavy at all. Only someone with no real experience in assault rifles would thinks so. I carried a SAW M249 for a year over seas with no issues and the M14 Sage EBR comes no where near that weight, even with ammo and accessories. Maybe you need to hit the gym if you think it's too heavy and STOP WHINING!

JAE is meant to be a match grade stock. It's UGLY, heavy but works, I would never buy one for SIX-HUNDO...... EBR's are UGLY as well, too bulky and heavy, M1A/M14 already weighs 9.2 ish. Only way to go is Traditional, and not Springfield their cast receivers are shit and not up to Mil Spec.

JAE is not a combat proven stock its a match grade stock , EBR is currently used overseas, so yes its combat proven but still heavy. as far as your 90 percentile Id like to see the statistics on that! Im pretty sure that 90% of statistics are made up on the spot!!!! Original I can still mount a scope, Bed my stock, use rear and front lugged receivers, 1913 picatinny rails and hand guards are still an option so NO my options are easily debatable with Original design, VS EBR... without the weight.

I have 2 of these stocks and they are worth every penny! One w/a National Match Action w/Kreiger barrel that shoots like a bolt gun and one Squad Scout w/18" barrel thats light and easy handling. This video would be better w/o Eminem & 50.

That stock is a great fit for the socom II. It increases accuracy by being a pillar bedded interface. I thnk it looks better with a full Picatinny rail on top. Lame song by the way.

The stock is nothing but a body mod, simply remove the reciever( the guts of the rifle), barrel, etc. Simply take your original rifle and carefully remove the stock it came with. Very rarely do you need spare parts, but I would double check to make sure.

I'm really glad I found this stock, I was hoping to find a good alternative to the EBR stocks. Pistol grips and collapsing/folding buttstocks are entirely overrated.
