Brian and Freddie were both multimillionaires, Freddie lived as a tax exile and Brian has - by his own admission - voted Conservative most of his life, the party that has always looked after rich people's interests. I'm fine with that if their huge amounts of money were that important to them, but it was somewhat hypocritical to sing a song about poor people like this. When Freddie died people were shocked at how little he had at the time of his death but his ex-girlfriend, Mary Austin, explained that Freddie gave a lot of his money away to charities, away from the media's attention. Brian recently donated to a special school, I can't remember what type of school, some type of disabilities school. Done under radar.

You can tell that he was really into his music and put his heart into what he wrote. Starting at 2:00 you can see his emotions are starting to get to him, and then again at 2:05, just watch how he sais "home" and listen to how it sounds, you can tell his emotions are getting the better of him, after that he turns his head to swallow that lump in his throat. If you ask me, more musicians need to be like this nowadays, people need to care once again.
