these things are tough but the laminate scratches very easily. When I installed mine, the damn installer was not carefull so a portion of the laminate near the "bst" got peeled of. not a major concern but it reduced the beauty factor of the wheel. This is the best mod you can do for your bike, the price may be expensive but it is worth it. You will be able to turn in faster and brake much later and enter a corner harder. for sure that front rim suffered scratches but still very usable

Feck me... I know the theory of how strong they are... but throwing them into a concrete floor... as someone who has done a lot of overtime to get my set, and who spent 2 weeks before I trusted anyone to fit tyres to them... feck. Slightly stunned at this vid :-) Oh and in 20 years of biking; they are the best thing I have added to a bike. My R1 is significantly better in all sorts of areas. I still worry about tyre fitters though :-( Andy

I have s set and when I got new tyres fitted they cracked them the lip of the carbon rim. so make sure you take it to someone that knows how to fit tyres to Bst rims.
