Meaning that if you had a dollar you would be able to go to any bank in the country give them the dollar and get one dollars worth of gold in return. Being backed by gold means that the currency cannot be printed/created infinitely, in order for a new dollar to come into existence the government would have to have the physical gold as well.

The EPA is a waste of money.. and ron paul doesn't want to get rid of the FDA, but improve it by making it more efficient for the people. Also... Dr. Paul also SUPPORTS gay rights, and is for equal rights for everyone... including women... Check your facts before you post dude.

@Crossxfire68 i am going to take one question at a time starting with the gold standered when we used to be on the gold standered we had MORE DESPRESSIONS and MORE RECESSIONS and they lasted a lot longer it destorys the middle class because they are the ones that spend the money but they have less money to spend because they are PAYING MORE for things then the richest of the rich

@kazooga1234 However the recessions and depressions while we were on the gold standard were not caused by the gold standard nor did the gold standard make them worse. The recessions of the past were also not longer. Also you are not paying more when you have a gold standard, with a gold standard the value of the currency goes up and the prices go down.

@gergthemerg yes they were and if you watched sam seders show you would also know that his radio show is called majority report and you can find the uploads of his radio station on youtube under his name samseder and i can also prove it because i fact checked him and have the links saved it is because taxes is how things get funded for the gold standered/fixed taxes cant provide for anything

@gergthemerg yes i do its a fixed tax that helps out the richest of the rich get richer because they dont spend as much money as the poor and middle class and by going on a fixed tax only also means no more food stamps because there isnt enough money in the government to pay for those and that means that if we try to do a fair fixed tax then people will need specail cards and i have proof to all of this if you want it

@kazooga1234 That is not what a gold standard is. A gold standard is when your currency is backed by gold. Meaning that if you had a dollar you would be able to go to any bank in the country give them the dollar and get one dollars worth of gold in return. Being backed by gold means that the currency cannot be printed/created infinitely, in order for a new dollar to come into existence the government would have to have the physical gold as well.

@kazooga1234 I just googled it, and it's not a fixed tax it is as I said, a system in which 1 dollar would equal a fixed amount of gold. A fixed tax is a tax where everybody pays the same amount for example everybody pays $1000 a year in taxes regardless of income, which is most definitely a stupid system.

@Crossxfire68 (continue) the EPA and the FDA are broken but we still need them for the EPA we need it because before we had the EPA some lakes and streams were so poluted they were on FIRE i mean litterly up in flames yes the EPA is broken but when something is broken it can be fixed we need to fix it so they cant be bought off by huge oil corporations like BP if you hate the EPA now then it will be worse without it and the FDA is the ONLY reason you know side effects to medicines

@kazooga1234 - Actually, Ron Paul is for states-rights, and doesn't let his own personal beliefs (however homophobic they may be) get in the way of his ideals. NH allows same-sex marriage. Every GOP candidate *except* Paul would have this law repealed. But he respects States-rights over the federal options.
Maybe *you* should do some fact checking?

While you and I agree on safe abortion options, there are millions who don't... which is why having laws passed on a local level makes more sense, as everyone is happy.

@kazooga1234 No, those would fall under the authority of the states, and roads are already funded by the states unless the receive a grant from the federal government or it is an interstate. Emergency services also already fall under the state.
