is it me or ahnaris was talking like roach hydra was good against protoss.. its a standart build but it gets demolished once protoss gets a single colossus and like 2 immortals , you dont really see protoss skipping colossus to go high templars unless its super late gate and they feel like storm would crush even more a 200 zerg army with brood lords and ultras lol

He was just saying it was good against gateway units, which it is. He added in that HT don't really help much against it, but that was just him being weird - like you noted, you almost never see PvZ get templar before the colossi (and certainly not against that build). His main point was just that you aren't likely to beat Roach/Hydra with gateway units.

Z doesnt have a counter for void rays besides hydra, which can be AoE 1 shot by a handful of collosus. There is actually no possible way for zerg to win against this particular build.

@snowblind1985 The Zerg threw all his armies at the protoss fortifications. That is just simply wrong. He should have been going for harrass - eg nydus into the back. - hit and run. That colossus-voidray ball is powerful,but slow to move - and he did not exploit that slowness weakness.

Those infestors should have crawled in and spawned infested terrans into the mineral lines, not wasting their lives attacking ARMORED units which have too many hitpoints.

@clubhollis You can't beat it in a head on fight, you need to either use day9 300 food push, or nydus, run around, harass him to stretch the deathball apart and pick of units that aren't with the rest of the army.

@ricoo97 good idea but zerg can't beat the deathball in a base race. u nydus into the toss main, he wipes out ur army, or ur base, the order doesn't matter. no way ur gonna kill all of his buildings before he kills urs. and ur army will lose no matter how many waves u throw at it.
