Hmm, I thought best-drift is where the drift marks don't touch. I see them touch in this video.

There are two types of optimized drifts, one for regular turns and one for u-turns.

Reg turn - the farther away drift marks are, the faster you'll go through the turn

U-turn - the longer you hold shift during the drift, the faster the u-turn will be. (holding shift the whole turn basically)
