We really need to take things into our own hands. The farmers here in the US and Canada need to be helped to understand that we do not want GMO's. We need to create a seed bank and reclaim control of distribution, for free. Seeds should be free. This is so unsettling, what's more is that the majority of Americans are completely blind to this information. I was too, until about a month ago. Frightening. Wake up people. SNAP OUT OF IT.

Monsanto doesnt have many reported trials with any farmers because all they do is make a settlement. In the settlement it says the farmers cant say a word that they made a settlement ever to anyone. They just offer whatever they can to shut the farmer down adn then shut him the hell up so no one hears about it.

If i have a farm, and a gmo farmer comes up next to me, he's going to cross pollinate all my crops. That farmer didnt want to have your gene in his crop, he didnt plant it there with the intention of it having your gene in his crop. Apparently, repeated application of glyphosate to the soil inhibits or possibly kills some soil fungi leaving room for other harmful fungi to take over. The damaging fungi rapidly colonize the soy bean plant and kill it, it's called Sudden Death Syndrome.

This is why you should never eat any food that contains canola! The only way to ensure that you're not ingesting bio-engineered food is to eat only foods that are labeled as organic. 90% or soybean and canola oil is genetically modifed and contains Round-Up.

I got 24 bags of RoundUp Ready seed in the spring of 1996 ... free. They were given to me by a local DeKalb dealer and he told me I could spray them with RoundUp. I didn't believe him.
I planted them and sprayed them with RoundUp and they didn't die.
It scared me shitless when I discovered how they did that.
I didn't grow RR soy again until 2002.
I started because everybody else delivering grain was and it was all mixed together.
I save $40 - $50 per acre, and it is much easier.

@CouldNotCareLes You don't even see the bigger picture! Do you not see what's occurring when you utilize product from Monsanto?? You are a fueling a frenzied giant that cares nothing but the bottom line, just as the rest of the handful of large corporations that are effortlessly gobbling up small business as competition in markets... how can you let yourself go robbed and support something that goes against the very conduct of farming in the first place?

As long as folks want fast food and inexpensive/convenient groceries, farmers will grow GMOs.
If the American Consumer wanted GMO free food, the American Farmer would grow it for them.

@couldnotcareles - as if! - he harvested and saved his OWN seed -Monsanto should sue the wind - instead, Monsanto is famous for tyranical protection of products which have no intrinsic rights associated with them except by an artificial system of legislation which Monsanto themselves generated and enforce. Monsanto abuse of farmers rights is so well documented that I would suggest that further inquiry would be appropriate. Then again - maybe you could care less...

@crawf100 - you are not getting this - this farmer did NOT buy the seed- his crop was cross pollinated by natural causes by Monsanto's seed - Monsanto then claimed that seed was 'theirs' - Monsanto also produces growth hormones for dairy cows (which cause cancer in humans) & aspirtane (sweet and low & other sugar substitute food additives) which is ALSO detrimental to human health - Monsanto is a truly horrific and powerful corporation. Read up!
