I wouldn't use rigs that are similar to animation mentor in a demo reel. Obviously animation mentor doesn't like it when other people use rigs similar to their's and some major studios don't like it either, and have a tendency to push those reels aside. I've been hearing about this stuff a lot lately, so just letting u know! good animation anyways;)
@TheTonyGuy1013 yeah I know. If you are refering to the pendulum and the Ball with legs, they are available for download actually and are not from animation mentor..I made sure of that when I started this, that it is not their rigs.
@The3rdStrikeIsOnYou Ya sure..It is a free rig available for maya...but somehow I cant seem to paste the link here....give me your e-mail address and i'l send it to you
@yaseensid About how long did it take you to develop the table tennis animation? Besides Maya, which is really expensive and probably quite complicated, do you know of any other 3D animation software that is less costly and easier to master and could be used to produce that animation ?
@MindOfTheSurfer Table tennis took about a week to complete.Besides Maya I have used 3ds Max which costs about the same i guess. I havent used other sotwares yet.
@MindOfTheSurfer I just wanted to say, autodesk has free student editions of most of, if not all of their programs, standard student license, no profit and whatnot. plus free educational material.
@bettersfmstudios Thanks. Since I'm just starting out in 3D animation, I decided to get Poser Studio 9 Pro. By the demos, it seemed relatively straight forward to use and the price was a tenth of autodesk although I'm sure not as robust.
Well, please don't misunderstand my joking. I certainly didn't mean anything negative. I'm completely impressed with your work and style. As far as "a long way to go" goes, we all in this field will continue to evolve and grow. Its just the nature of what we do. But you have much to be proud of. I'm currently working on a 2-3 minute solid 3d branding project for a company. As soon as all reviews are finished and edits made, I'll upload it and link you.
Ya, your work is ok...you know, if you're going for quality and stuff.... LOL ;) just kidding. This is very impressive work indeed. Your work is truly quality, but even beyond that, you have a gorgeous presentation sense and quality as well. I take many things away from your samples but I can definitely see your love for motion and life through your work. Keep it up. You're amazing.

@yaseensid Thanks. How about the cube/balls one? How long did that take? Is 3D max any easier to use than Maya?

@MindOfTheSurfer That just took about a day. It's pretty basic now that I animate other stuff.
