  • i have a question on the att verses staking like i had a gate keeper and he att me winth a regen snake i block then he regents and add giant grouth making it a 4/4 on that stack i dumblade it dos the att still hit my gate keeper ???

  • easiest way to think about it is like chain links in yugioh.

  • Your captions are _really_ misleading... "Scuttling Death" came out as "Sudden Death". I'm sitting here thinking "how the hell is Sudden Death relevant in an introductory discussion on the stack?"

  • can another creature that is on the battlefield have it's activated abilities go on the stack? for example, if attack and an opposing creature blocks, can the opponent use his waxmane baku to tap my creature? does that go on the stack? if so, how does that work, and what physically happens?

  • dude your deck sucks

  • no...never say tht yugioh is juvenile n inappropriate

  • Yugioh is for little kids...

  • like you have to use lands in yugioh...

yugioh is BASED on this, this was out in 1993, yugioh didn't appear until 2000

    -S

  • Nah! In yugi, you each player may use up to one chain per move...

In magic, a player may cast or activate more than one spell or ability if he has priority. Then he passes priority and if all the other players pass priority too withoud doing anything the top card on the stack resolves.

  • i still dont understand how it works =/...help?

  • with abiletys and instance you can "awser" when some one do something after every one is done awnser the stack resolves and the latest card resolvs first. any player may awser in the after a few cards had been resolvd but not all. hope you under stand.

  • First in, last out. That's all you need to know.

  • he sacrficed a 4/2 to kill a 2/1 . wow....

  • Yeah, I probably would have just attacked with it, since then his opponent would have either taken four damage, or lost a creature. Perhaps even two if he really wanted to kill that 4/2 thing. Or, scenario three, his opponent blocks with the same creature he would have otherwise killed anyway, saving him the other card.

  • it's just a demonstration. he wouldn't really do it. just trying to show how the stack works

  • Also Soul shift xD

  • this is wrong, sacrafice goes first..., nothing else works

  • And where do you get your knowledge? It is called a stack... it goes ONTO THE STACK first yes... but the stack is FILO (First In Last Out). Learn how to play :(.

  • yeah the sacrifice happens first. but. he can still respond with the pump, passing priority. the sac is apart of the cost to trigger that card's ability. you can still respond to it, silly

  • How to take advantage of the stack:

Lys Alana Huntmaster + a ton of elves + elvish promenade.

As Elvish promenade is on the stack, lys alana's ability activates, putting an elf into play. Next unravels the elvish promenade, which counts the extra added elf in addition to all the other elves in play. All of these trigger my elvish vanguard to get lots and lots of +1/+1 counters and I use elvish herder to give it trample!
