  • More snake oil for the gullible and enfeebled of mind

How does shielding the last few feet of the power supply cable make ANY difference ???

By your own definition the cables in the walls of your house are a source of noise, as are the cables under the street back to the electrical substation etc, so in effect the shielding in this cable does NOTHING (the power was already "dirty" before it got to the cable with the screening ;-) )

Ask yourself, how does doing nothing improve audio ???

  • @bluesman979 Power cords like this one are designed to be used with products like the Isotek Aquarius or the Titan. The cord by itself is not going to help much.

  • @steveissosteve

So you are saying Bryston amps on PMC TB2-SAs (professional audio equipment) are incapable of gaining any benefit from these cables ?

Nulling (by phase inversion) would show once and for all the veracity of the claims for these cables

Are you willing to undergo a double blind test (under lab conditions) to prove your claims for these cables?

Can you failing that, provide the math that proves your claims ?

    Thanks in advance

  • @bluesman979 NO. The cables will provide some benefit by themselves but will provide better performance with the other Isotek products!

  • @bluesman979 If you can't hear the difference than maybe you need to get better speakers and amps!! Warmest regards!

  • @stevsissosteve

Anyone reading this can see you demonstrably fail in providing any proof to support your claims

We both know your suggestion my equipment is somehow at fault is BULLSHIT, I am a professional audio engineer with professional audio equipment (unlike your domestic hifi equipment which doesn't even use balanced audio! )

Again I challenge you to prove your claims that audio quality is improved by these mains cables (if true it shouldnt be hard)

    TIA :-)

  • @bluesman979 Are you suggesting to the viewers of this video that products that claim to shield and or nullify EMI/RFI have no audible benefit? So you are suggesting that a third wire ground pin has audible benefit whereas any Isotek product power cord or power conditioner has none? I think you are the one slinging the bullshit around here!!! XLR cables offer little in the way if at all any benefit and that is over long cable runs!! I think you need to get your ears cleaned out! Your so called:

  • @steveissosteve

Ferrite chokes turn interference to heat (if you undertand electronics you would know this)

Balaced audio cancels noise by inversion (look it up ;-) )

Again you've failed to provide any data to prove your claims

How about I buy some of these cables and then report you the HM Govts Trading Standards Dept (and possibly sue you personally as well) if they have no effect?

FYI Slandering me for asking you to prove YOUR claims is childish as well as stupid

  • @bluesman979 So you are saying you either bought one or spoke to Isotek directly or looked up the technical data on this particular power cord to know that it uses Ferrite? Besides most computer and printer cables put Ferrite beads on the ends of their cables to eliminate RFI!!! So your right and the whole computer industry is wrong! XLR's are superfluous for short runs!! I didn't slander you I don't know you all the things I said could be true about you so it wouldn't be slander then would it?

  • @steveissosteve

"So you are saying you either ... on this particular power cord to know that it uses Ferrite?"

I didn't say that. I stated a ferrite choke would eliminate (for pennies) any RFI from the mains supply and that "specialist" mains cables won't make any difference to the audio output

Your childish attempt to twist that into me saying the computer industry is wrong is demonstrably dishonest and makes you look pretty desperate

    HTH Other's understanding ;-)

  • @bluesman979 Your the one that claims the cable doesn't work if you want to spend the $ to prove it doesn't work your more than welcome the burden of proof is on you because you say it does not work! Why don't you contact Isotek and see if they will loan you a few for testing and then post a video with the results!! Put your $ where your mouth is!Prove them wrong! Post some technical data or be quiet. You were already wrong about pro geer being better than audiophile geer! Go cry the blues now!!

  • @steveissosteve

In short you cant prove your claims. I contend these cables cant improve audio quality, you say they can yet can't supply any proof just name calling and other tries to distract from the fact you demonstrably can't back up what you say

I note you dont produce any material yourself, you simply troll your homophobia around youtube claiming the quality of music is dependant somehow on the sexuality and appearance of the performer(s)

    LOL @ your "expertise" :-D

  • @steveissosteve

    "I think ...."

    It's demonstrable that you actually don't ;-)

"your just another disgruntled Green Day fan..."

Actually I played in a punk band in the 70s, and Greenday despite commercial success wouldn't be my choice of music

I suggest you quit while you are ahead, I've already shown you to be a liar and a fool in this thread and I tire of your whining now that you've admitted you have nothing of any veracity to contribute to the debate

    HTH ;-)

  • @bluesman979 You can't prove or won't prove that this cord does or does not improve the sound of attached equipment! End of discussion. You have neither stated any provable facts about the cord just conjecture and theories. Neither have you contributed any facts about this cord! Either by what it is made of or how it works.

  • @bluesman979 There never was any debate you just stated unrelated facts and tried to brow beat me using jargon you thought I wouldn't understand! Your the stupid childish one who trolls around trying to prove his intellectual superiority! Probably to mask the pain of years of abuse in the foster care system!

  • @steveissosteve

"Probably to mask the pain of years of abuse in the foster care system!"

Demonstrably *ALL* you have now is homophobic name calling and lies (which from the available evidence is the sum of your entire life)

    You must feel SO proud

    { Sets "ignore" on the lying homophobe }

  • @bluesman979 What about the Isotek power cord? I propose you have no technical information about the cable to substantiate the veracity of your claim that the cable in fact does nothing to improve the sound of connected equipment! Your just a heterophobic troll trying to steer and manipulate the coversation about Isoteks claims about the cord! Everything else you have written is a big steaming pile of distractionary horseshit! You have only ever stated opinion slander and misdirection! ;-)

  • @bluesman979 I say you are the liar and have nothing to add to the conversation about the IsoTek Optimum AC Power Cord! I should contact Isotek and get Keith Martin's contact information so he can try to find out who and where you are! After he proves you wrong about the cord he'll probably whip your pseudo intellectual ass for slandering such a fine product and being such a dick nosed dip shit on his Youtube video!!!!

  • @bluesman979 Do you know what the only thing gayer than a Green Day Fan is? A Joni Mitchell fan!!!

  • @steveissosteve

    "who's the troll?"

YOU ! By your own admission...

"I have never used these cables and don't care if they work..."

You see you by doing this you've admitted your own stupidity, admitting you have NO experience or education to bring to the debate, that's after being shown as dishonest, very immature and probably a repressed homosexual on the strength of your homophobic hate posts across Youtube

LOL Not very bright are you?

    HTH Understanding ;-)

  • @bluesman979 Go away you troll Green Day fan! I know Isotek and if they claim it works I'm sure it does! You are probably gay and have heterophobic tendencies due to the hate of you bear for your father or other strong male presence that probably wronged you in the past! your slandering me now troll! right back at ya.

  • @steveissosteve

"if you want to spend the $ to prove it doesn't work your more than welcome the burden of proof is on you because you say it does not work!"

FYI I shall report these cables (and the claims made for them) to Trading Standards so they can look at the claims for the product and see about having them removed from the marketplace if the claims are not met in full *as required by law*

Trading stadards will test them and it won't cost me a penny ;-)

    HTH

  • @steveissosteve

    "Go cry the blues now!!"

You keep saying the silliest things

FYI I'm doing a dubstep remix for an R&B act at the moment

If you can prove the cables work, do so -I contend they can't make any difference to the signal on the audio output (unless the eqipment is crap), and that a ferrite choke turns any RFI etc on the mains supply from the miles of cable BEFORE the socket to heat

So PLEASE post your proof (but I wont be holding my breath ;-) )

  • @steveissosteve

"You were already wrong about pro geer being better than audiophile geer!"

I contend balanced audio (the studio standard) with its noise eliminating properties is better for accurate reproduction than unbalanced (the hifi standard), you are welcome to demonstrate how everyone except you got it all so wrong (and at such a high price for all those balanced systems/cables in studios) LOL

Let's see this proof then (or more likely not)

  • @bluesman979 ...professional equipment isn't any better than some of the finer home audio geer that's available!! And as far as you being a professional audio engineer if you really are one are full of pride and have your ears closed! Besides in your haughtiness made assumptions about me and the kind of equipment that I own!!! Your the one that claims to have pro audio geer you do the test better yet have a collegue do it someone that is not so jaded by years of so callerd sound engineering! ;-)

  • Great, great, great.
