I'm getting kind of sick of this whole anti-religion movement. God doesn't hate religion if its the truth. He just doesn't want hypocrites. I was atheist for years, but i realized i was looking at God through religion, not through a relationship. If you understand this song, your heart has been reached for, i think you understand the relationship part, you just have to admit it, and stop fighting the religion interpretaion people put on it.
@DJChaosXD I don't look at him either way though, because I don't believe in him, relationship or religion. I think the only God(s) I kind of believe in are Greek/Roman/Egyptian Gods (I read a lot of fiction books on them, and I want to study their mythology when I'm older), but I don't sit and pray to them so I'm not really religious, more atheist and 'big bang theory but someone or some people helped shape it' kind of person.

Wow such an amazing band. I remember when i used to see them play at Christ Fellowship's youth service every wednesday down in sunny Palm Beach Gardens, Florida... they were awesome then even more now! Man i used to eat chiken wings with Mike at a nearby restaurant... good times!

While Tenth Ave North can reach thousands through their God given talent, you are no different than they are in God's purpose. We are all called to one purpose in the Kingdom of God and while maybe you and I are not through music, the word of truth is written in our hearts. While T.A.N are reaching the thousands, you go preach His word to the unreachables. If only 1 hears you, then heaven will rejoice like never before for that 1 you lead to God's Salvation. I was atheist for years, but i realized i was looking at God through religion, not through a relationship. If you understand this song, your heart has been reached for, i think you understand the relationship part, you just have to admit it, and stop fighting the religion interpretaion people put on it.

@DJChaosXD I don't look at him either way though, because I don't believe in him, relationship or religion. I think the only God(s) I kind of believe in are Greek/Roman/Egyptian Gods (I read a lot of fiction books on them, and I want to study their mythology when I'm older), but I don't sit and pray to them so I'm not really religious, more atheist and 'big bang theory but someone or some people helped shape it' kind of person.

One of my friends is an atheist and ive been trying to get through to him about being a christian, but hes really stubborn about it. He likes to have everything scientiffically proven so i guess thats why, but i wanted your opinion on how i can get through to him that there is an amazing God.... sorry if im annoying you with this, i just need some help:)

@intebra1 good point.I was mainly asking to find a way i could say that religion is a relationship, but i dont know how to put it. haha it did seem like i was gonna force it on him (which is a good example of how bad i am at wording things) but thanks for pointing that out,

im really not christian, but i see these songs, the ones like this one, or many by natalie grant and other such artist, as a call to the one god, the one the jews, christians, muslims, hindus, sikhs and everyone accept as their creator. its to the one lord. and no matter what religion you follow, the god that watches over you, knows you, and loves you is always the same. and that god truly is the almighty.

One, say no to religion, say yes to faith. The only good religion spoken of in the Bible is helping orphans and widows. Two, love is Jesus... and He is here, now, if anyone should believe, (John 3:16, Acts 4:12)! So it is not about loving or trusting anyone or anything until faith is found in Christ and Christ alone. After that, yes, love is an act of faith... love God, your neighbor, your enemy, yourself :-)

I'm religious and love this band, but I also think that you don't have to be religious to love these songs, any of them. They're not just above God and belief, they're about love and trust and faith in another and isn't that a universal feeling?
God is love and so when you sing for him, isn't that singing of love?
