I can't understand most of what James White is saying, because he uses words that are beyond my vocabulary. I think he should dumb down a bit to cater to simple people like me. That way, he could get his message across to as many people as possible and not just the academic ones. Jesus was God. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe that God is all knowing. Jesus was human. All three religions and 90% of people if not more know that no human is all knowing.
Sometimes Jesus acted within His human nature like Mark 13:32 suggests and sometimes He acted within the power He has as God, like when He done miracles, forgave sins, and predicted His death and resurrection. The manuscripts that dont have verse 9-20 are 4th century Codex Sinaiticus, 4th century Codex Vaticanus, 12th century 304, 11th century 2386.
..so recap..u have refuted..nothing. Sinaiticus doesnt have it and Vaticanus, however it is unclear concerning Vat if the words were in consideration and so known.
So right now i know a maximum of 2 that dont have it..versus 7 that i know of...plus there are references to the verses also if u want those too yet MORE evidence.

I can't understand most of what James White is saying, because he uses words that are beyond my vocabulary. I think he should dumb down a bit to cater to simple people like me. In a debate with greg stafford he put words into Isaiah mouse misquoting Isaiah 6 and misleading about Isaiah 53 concerning the words doxa, a greek word found in the LXX text. A respected scholar should be serious and precise in his declarations. He doesn´t have rspect for the Bible , let alone other religious books!

The last thing...If I quoted a passage from the quoran, but I didn't have a quoran, I had a book published by Crossway books (Christian group) that included the quoran, wouldn't that still be quoting the quoran? It makes no difference if HIS source is a Christian manual, or training material. Because the training material (that you say he used as is source) WAS QUOTING THE ORIGINAL SOURCE. Also Jesus never claimed divinity and he also submitted to the One Only God that Muslims call Allah. Diffrent language but the same God Jesus (pbuh) worshipped.
Fact: there is NO trinity in the Bible.
Jesus said: "Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good except God alone."(From the Bible, Mark 10:18)
He said: Jhn 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me"
As you can see Jesus was a Prophet who only came to give the doctrine of GOD.

Jesus was God. Jews, Christians, and Muslims all believe that God is all knowing. Jesus was human. All three religions and 90% of people if not more know that no human is all knowing.
Sometimes Jesus acted within His human nature like Mark 13:32 suggests and sometimes He acted within the power He has as God, like when He done miracles, forgave sins, and predicted His death and resurrection. The doctrine that tries to explain this is called the hypostatic union. Thanks, Happy New year :)

No it wasn't an act. Sometimes He didn't know somethings, therefore He is acting(doing things not pretending) according to His human nature. Other times He predicted His death and resurrection therefore He was acting in divine nature. Actually though I listen to James white I can't rememver if I first heard it from him, but I didn't learn what I know about it from him. Thanks! :)

He was 100% Man and 100% God. He had two natures. Sometimes He acted in His deity nature other times He acted within human limitations, but He wasn't pretending. This is probably one of the most complex doctrines and humans can't expect to understand everything about God, that is irrational and unrealistic. God is infinite. Humans are finite. :)

God is not a God of confusion, but that doesn't mean all things about Him are simple and easy to grasp. God has no end, He goes on and on, so we are always learning more about Him.

After watching his video, my guess would be that it was "The Encyclopedia of Islam" or "Encyclopedia of the Quran". He also argues for his point.
If you want the quote, you could write an email.
By the way, why are you demanding a quote from a muslim book? He can quote every namable scholar he wants.

The Quran was compiled DURING the lifetime of Mohammad, he had personal scribes who wrote the verses immediately.
When Islam spread out of Arabia, new muslims Non-Arab had different dialects, so people started to create variation in reading. Othman kept the reading of Mecca, and destroyed the rest, for preserving the text. and everybody agree on the final text, no one made an objection. That is why James W. made a lie!
Allah promised to preserve the Quran, but the Bible was left to the rabbis..

What I would call a refutation, is when you show me your exact quote from an Islamic source (Book, encyclopedia...)regardless of its commercial value. Good knowledge is not the monopoly of the rich people.

Why do u believe a book written 100s of years after Jesus to tell u about Jesus instead of many witnesses and texts written within decades that give evidence that Jesus was crucified, resurrected, claimed to be God, and is God...more than 30 different texts within AT LEAST the second century claim these evidences..why believe a book 100s of years lata that contradicts them. (eg Tacitus, Phlegon, Lucian, Irenaeus, Luke)

If you go by the earliest text of the apostles, the Gospel of Mark is the first Gospel. And the Gospel of Mark does not contain the resurrection account.
The Bible is not reliable for many reasons: scribes deliberately changed the text, and made up stories to fit their Doctrines.
No one resisted the corruptions, or made any kind of objection to them.

Notes in translations is not enough. Actually most scripts do have 9-20.
Scripts that have the verses; 3rd century (syriac) Curetonian, 5th century (syriac) Palestinian, 5th century Codex Alexandrinus, 5th century Ephraemi Rescriptus, 5th or 6th century Codex Bezae Cantabrigiensis, 5th century W, between 2nd and 4th century (syriac) Peshitta.
The manuscripts that dont have verse 9-20 are 4th century Codex Sinaiticus, 4th century Codex Vaticanus, 12th century 304, 11th century 2386.

..so recap..u have refuted..nothing. Sinaiticus doesnt have it and Vaticanus, however it is unclear concerning Vat if the words were in consideration and so known.
So right now i know a maximum of 2 that dont have it..versus 7 that i know of...plus there are references to the verses also if u want those too yet MORE evidence.
