@MrMrtiki it won't work because the huge mass of aluminium in a head will be too much of a heatsink, unless you wanna heat the whole head to the melt temp, in which case the solder will not stay put 'cause it will wanna flow out again unless you use a "dam" of some sort... basicaly, forget it
@gettingahandle I was thinging of putting the sparkplug in the hole and try to make a thread with the aluminium or something I can use to heli coil it .
@MrMrtiki I would predict that nothing will work except a helicoil.. Even if the type of thing you suggest were possible, at the very least it would take a great deal of experiance
@gettingahandle I bought this car it has 30.000 km and they stripped one sparkplug so they tried a heli coil once and stripped it again so it won`t even hold one so it`s either this way or use a tig and make enough material to cut new threads should hold just thought this might be handy .
@MrMrtiki Sounds like you are in a spot of trouble. As I explained, this is difficult to use in your situation. I hate to say it, but I think your only corse of action is to take it to a highly experianced aluminium welder with experiance in this exact situation. A major engine rebuilding company could help or at least know where to send it. Trust me on this - it is way,, way more difficult to solder aluminium (expecialy on a large mass) than the video suggests
@MrMrtiki There are places who could conceivably do a bore spray weld and re-machine the hole, but for something that small, it probably won't be so casual of a task.
@aeraybar Thanks I did a check on all the basics and it`s not even worth fixing a aluminium head to a cast block is a nightmare waiting to happen mega leaks to much contraction so I`m parting it out .

Bij precipitatiegeharde legeringen gaat dit problemen geven.
