Great job man, good picks. I love that you are an original Dawn of the Dead fan. Did you ever check out any films by Dario Argento, Lucio Fulci, Pete Walker or Sergio Martino. Some of there films are netflixable, you might dig them. Peace.
Good choices, the shining was another good one :) Seen Halloween loads of times lol,i even thought Psycho was good too, dont even know if they were 70s tho
Wow! I'm impressed- #1- Two GR movies in your list and #2- you have PATRICK; not known by many people (I love it). I think it's hard to have a top ten- your forced to leave out many good ones that I'll never forget like Friday the 13th (the first one) or Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (from the 70's) and JAWS is a horror flick that I'm sure we all have trouble forgetting. But I appreciate your statement "This my top ten, your top ten could be different." BTW- Great Top Ten!!! Good Job!
No, you said the "actors = shit", which is laughable. Donald Pleasence has a major role in this film and he does it very well. You have no idea what good acting is if you think he can't act or that the role he played somehow makes his efforts any less admirable.
i think halloween is the best but alien and texas chainsaw massacre are great films too the rest suck imopo but then again i didn't think dawn of the dead was that bad its pretty scary but i think some other great 70's horror films are carrie'the amityville horror'when a stranger calls and jaws 1&2 if u consider jaws a horror film.
I love that movie with William Shatner and Ernest Borgnine "The Devil's Rain; and also the Telly Savalas movie on the train where everyone has red eyes.
@hendrixnut64 YES!!! That movie reminds a little of FALLEN with Denzel Washington. The concept is very siimilar. And also at the end of Devil's Rain, when the people start melting, reminds me of the end of EVIL DEAD- another great horror flick.
Halloween is the worst movie ever made, screenplay=shit, actors=shit, the only who has made a good job is the composer with a fuckin' great song (piano)... Seriously even the killer Jason is a big anorak shit for brain !!
@SCROGY come on! In all halloweens he's a jerk: he never speaks, never do nothing but stand again and again .. there's no need to be a good actor to do that, beside he's wearing a mask all the time, he doesn't even need to have to play expression... it's not a matter of actor here, it's a matter of story and monster, he's maybe a good actor.. but THIS movie is just cool for a 15 years old teenager ... no screenplay, a jerk with a knife, a stupid woman and that's it, there's dozen like this
ive been thinking of this horror film ive seen but i cant remember what its called its set on a boat with a few ppl but all of them turn into wierd mutant machine things, i can only remember 1 scene from it, some ppl r held up in a romm and they hear very heavy metal on metal footsteps and it stops outside the door then it starts to bang the door down, the door comws off and theirs a rly bug asss mutant human machine thing standing their, pls try to find it for me!
Great videos, Guys. Please help me identify a campy B-horror movie from the 70s I've been looking for. Features a swampy-like creature with a speech impediment, and the movie has a warning bell to alert you when the scary parts are coming. Thank you in advance for any help. Sam
@sammyc98 hehe know which one your talking about, saw it a while back, and I have no idea what its called......the bell reminded me of it....but srry mate can't help ya.
I fell in love with "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" after I rented it from Blockbuster Online.
You should try "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things", which falls under my hippiespoitation category. That, "Suspiria", and "Black Christmas" are three more seventies horror movies that are well-worth the watching, although they contain no hippies.
That was REALLY cool! (Though it's too bad the song didn't last all the way through the pictures) I see a list for one on the 80's next to this one. I hope you've done one for the 60's, 90's, and maybe the 30's, 40's, and 50's (fingers crossed)...
-
A decent list, too. I can't call any of those films bad (though Patrick sure has its' share of really bad moments). I still haven't seen The Wicker Man yet but I know now I has to put an ASAP on that. Nice to see some love for Crazies and LSCL.
Evil Dead is not a zombie movie indeed, but it's a good and ironic answer to the genre in terms of iconic zombie material such as physical attributes. The evil spirits can possess live and dead bodies too, so Ash and Scott literally become murderers in the movie. It's very confusing and creative idea.
@That667Guy the fye in my town suck, they don't have alot of good old horror movies. at least amazon sells patrick. i'll buy it next time i want to order a movie from amazon.
All you have to do is ask them to stock it- they'll do it. Have you looked in the used section? Last time I went for my birthday I came home with 30+ movies (actually, some r double + triple features) for under 140 bucks
Got good shit like Nekromantik, Patrick, Patrick Still Lives, Buio Omega, Jungle Holocaust, Alucarda- the works!
I like Zombie movies a lot, but I am not an expert, if someone here can give me a list of at least 10 or 15 Zombie movies I would appreciate that...( a top 20 would be even better)...
heres a couple mate, zombie flesh eaters, planet terror, the house by the cemetary, day of the dead, dawn of the dead, the beyond, evil dead, and city of the living dead my personal favourite
Okay, well Evil Dead isn't a zombie movie, although it is a good movie in general. Also, The Beyond and City of the Living dead have zombies in them, but they aren't the traditional zombie apocalypse style. Day of the Dead and Zombie Flesh Eaters are two of the best. Also the original Dawn of the Dead. The Zombie Diaries and Diary of the Dead are also really good. Land of the Dead is good as well, but only the unrated version. Return of the Living Dead is another.
@MrJUACATA I'll give you one essential must see.... The Video Dead! You can watch it here actually, it's never gone to dvd so you'd have to get a transfer or a vhs if you want to own it.
@MrJUACATA Zombi,City of the Living Dead,the Beyond,House by the Cemetary,Dead Alive,NIGHT of the Living Dead,Dawn of the Dead(1978),Day of the Dead(1985),Evil Dead,
Classic Horror Movies I love: Alien,The Shining,Carrie,Jaws,Black Christmas,The Texas Chain Saw Massacre,Re-Animator,Halloween,Friday the 13th,Scream,The Thing,Evil Dead,The Silence of the Lambs,Resident Evil,28 Days Later,The Descent,Predator,The Blob
Underrated Horrors I love: Tamara, Wrong Turn, Wilderness, High Tension, Reeker, Cabin Fever, House 1,2,4, Shocker, Copycat, Cube 1,2, Candyman, Kill Theory, Warlock, Lost Souls, Anaconda, The Cave, The Coroner, Spring Break Shark Attack, The Fog
