being german I must express my utmost respect for the incredible denfense of moscow 1941 everyone including the us and uk and literally the whole world was convinced that the ussr was finished in 41 and they proved otherwise. The soviet peoples gathered and managed to turn the battle at the gates of the capital for me this was the real turningpoint of the war and the song expresses just that!
