I tried two times to catch Giratina... first time I killed him(good thing I saved before I confronted him) Second time... it took me a while... wasted several Ultra Balls... and just to give it a shot, I used a Great ball(weaker than an Ultra Ball)... and strangely... it caught it O_o... I caught Giratina with a Great ball... talk about lucky...

it doesnt even matter if you cant catch it here becuase after you beat the elite 4 and the champion you can go back to turnback cave and access the portal into the distortion world from there and then you get another chance at getting it. you can also get the griseous orb that time in the distortion world

dusk balls are the best pokeballs you can use. although, I'm having the same problem. he's paralyzed, have like one HP, and I don't even get a shake from the dusk ball.

Actually, I just realized this video is wrong! When you capture Giratina in Platinum, he will be in his normal form (Not Origin form). In order to get Giratina in his original form, you need an item for Giratina to hold, then Giratina will transform to his origin form when holding that item, if you take the item away, Giratina will transform back into his normal form.

when you catch him he is transferred to his altered (normal) forme. In order to get him to his origin forme, you need a special item which we will be showing you how to get it in one of our videos.
