From what I understand, most of the objectors during WWII based their refusal to become soldiers upon religious and moral issues related to the belief that violence and killing was wrong. The Israeli soldiers are not objecting because of religious or moral principles against killing and violence--they are already soldiers. For them, it is the reasons why they are killing and committing acts of violence in the occupied territories.
