Property developers are currently (late 2011) trying to have the parts of the village that are currently designated National Park re-designated for building, via corrupt local officials. This will speed the destruction of the last coastal village in Bulgaria that is not already over-built with hotels, and set a precedent that allows development of the whole of Strandja. Please, make a protest to the Bulgarian Government and the EU.
