  • Bro. Name of song? Lasers cool and all, but holy shit ima learn that guitar solo by ear if I don't get a reply if I have to.

  • Wait... Xbox 360 blu-ray??? what??

  • xbox 360 doesn't have a blu ray drive ! :D :D :D

  • the XBOX 360 DH DVD player doesnt use Blu-ray

  • @DracoToxx yes it does, just doesn't say it does, I've taken apart two broken ones and used the diodes and cranked them at 125mA's and got 102mW's of violet...

  • @Themandudebro227 blue spectrum light laser doesnt make it a BluRay©

  • @DracoToxx ummm, look on laserpointerfourms, any violet lasers are called Blu-Ray

  • @Themandudebro227 BluRay is a copyrighted name, violet lasers are violet spectrum light lasers, just because people call ALUMINUM "ALUMINIUM" doesnt mean it is "ALUMINIUM" BluRays are BlueRays and blue/violet lasers are blue/violet lasers

  • @DracoToxx yes, I'm aware of that, it's just easier term then Blue/violet. I understand blu-ray is not used in Xbox 360's but most of the places I and many other people get are diodes is from Blu-ray burners, so we just call it Blu-ray. I'm sorry for contradicting you.

    Smile!

    ~Philp

  • @Themandudebro227 then next time don't contradict someone who is making a correction using the same generalizations i was correcting

  • @DracoToxx Aluminium is the right English spelling. Look on Wikipedia. And it's Latin word and no "i" is omitted there too.

Though you're completely right about Blu-ray, you're completely wrong about "aluminium" spelling. If it's "aluminum", you're from Canda. :D

  • make a how to plz

  • What are the specs of this? like mW, power source(AA?), what driver are you using, etc?

  • my eyes! just watching this blinded me

  • idk but as long as its blue and fuckin awesome i cant give a shit

  • LOL... a 1W 445nm from a A140 DLP projector will smoke that !!!

  • only ps3 is blue ray not xbox

  • @klkj04 It clearly states that it is from a xbox 360 add-on drive, not from the 360 itself.

  • @foxyd3 that makes more sense

  • @klkj04 fyi he said add on hd dvd player which supports blue ray :)

  • @datsun1973z ... you're the one who needs a FYI, lolz... a HD dvd player plays those things called HD dvds. Any standard HD DVD player can only play discs recorded in the now discontinued HD DVD format... the 360s hd dvd player is no exception.

  • @Mountaindoodoo are you serious dude...you ever hear of a codec

  • hahahahaha wow major trolls. he jus screwed up. he not a robot like the rest of you all.

  • haha on 0:48 he's rapeing it with his finger

  • If it weren't for the ad for the scammy make $400/hr answering surveys thing at the top, I wouldn't have voted dislike.

  • Oh and after reading more. In 2005 xbox had an HD DVD drive and then in 2006 the hole world decided HD DVD was such a joke everyone stopped making them. So yea.

  • Xbox has NO bluray period. It's either outta a stand alone, computer, or a Sony playstation 3 bluray drive. Microsoft has no access to blurays.

  • @johnnyzfr6

    Its the 360's HD-DVD drive

  • #LOL

  • FOR EVERY STUPID BITCH HERE.XBOX HAD A BLU-RAY ADD ON ON AN EXTERNAL DVD DRIVEN BACK IN 2005 SO FUCK OFF MORONS.

  • @lazertag720 I KNOW

  • xbox is not blu ray

  • that is led...

  • Dude there is not such thing as a blu-ray XBOX 360 (that sucks my grans balls)

  • @maxnuman They had HD DVD drives when Blu-Ray and HDDVD where still competing formats

  • @maxnuman the Xbox 360 HD DVD had a blue laser in it as do all hd dvd drives pretty similar to bluray but slightly different. FOOL

  • @maxnuman that was an xbox360 add on on 2005 moron

  • @maxnuman I think he's talking about the x-box 360 blue-ray DVD drive, Now you suck my grans balls

  • @maxnuman

the HD-DVD add on drive for the X-Box 360 has a blu ray diode

  • @maxnuman the laser in a xbox 360 is blue therefore it is a blue ray, the blue ray in a ps3 is a brand name.

  • @bhennessee01 No you idiot. it's the type of laser it uses to read disks, and Xbox doesn't have blue ray. PS3 does and because of the blue ray it can store more data on the disk as blue ray is better.

  • @bhennessee01 Blu-ray is the copyrighted name. I have a blue torch that put out a blue ray of light, but that doesn't make it Blu-ray. When people talk about Blu-ray lasers, they mean one out of an actual Blu-ray player, not just a blue coloured laser. The Blu-ray Disc Association developed Blu-ray, nothing to do with Sony.

  • @Eyeball1975 im no offence but a blu ray laser is just a blue diode they just like to call it blue ray

  • @TheEPICHEZ None taken. An Xbox still isn't Blu-ray though, even though it may have a blue laser, which is the point in hand! :)

  • @Eyeball1975

you do realise you can actually make one of these using the lazer from any standard blu-ray player right? do your research

  • @gigens123 You do realise that this video is about an Xbox laser, which is not a blu ray laser, right? Read properly before you comment and make yourself look a bit stupid

  • @Eyeball1975 Umm... Not to be nitpicky or anything, but Sony FOUNDED the Blu-Ray association, so I think it had /something/ to do with them.

  • @mpayson I didn't realise that at the time I posted. Just about all of the major electrical companies (9 of them) founded it, not just Sony.

  • @Eyeball1975 Yes, 9 different companies were the founding partners, but it was actually Sony's original research (partnering with Phillips) that lead to the founding. You could say that some of the founders are "more equal" that others.

  • @Eyeball1975 Nothing to do with Sony? Sony started two projects in collaboration with Philips applying the new diodes: UDO (Ultra Density Optical), and DVR Blue (together with Pioneer), a format of rewritable discs that would eventually become Blu-ray Disc (more specifically, BD-RE). The core technologies of the formats are similar.

    Source is Wikipedia.

    Do your homework!

  • @bhennessee01 Props for being stupid, I didn't think anyone can be that dumb.

But let me entertain you with this, my old DVD RW uses a reen diode, then is it a green ray? I never heard of that! MAYBE ITS ALIEN TECHNOLOGY?

  • @avraham1 you are an unbelievably retarded nigger. Go fuck yourself you dumb ass

  • @maxnuman yes there is you fucking retard.. the HD drive.

  • Lol, the only thing Xbox is good for

  • @spencer20151 ??????? i tried aswell #LOL

  • or you could just... you know... buy one on amazon for about 20 bucks.

  • #LOL

  • Very cool. might as well get some use out of that HD DVD player;)

  • @burtonann801960 seems legit.

  • I liked your vid because John Frusciante rocks! And the glow in the dark paint was awesome too!

  • How can it paint??

  • @TOX5TOX it cant, its just very radioactive which gives off light particles that are green. (Beta Radiation)

  • @capps4242 Oh my god. That was the best answer I have EVER heard (seen?) that was pulled out of someones ass. Major props to you. lmfao

  • @fundles420 lol

  • So is there a laser diode in an xbox 360 itself like in the disk reader thing

  • my laserpointer dont have blueray but it haves a 5.1 sorroundsound and a full hd tv :D

  • nice!

  • How much would it cost for you to create one for me. Say I pay for mats + assembly

  • ok i got step up you know that all lazers are clear un less you tant there light right blue ,red ,green ,so on

  • i would love a tutorial for the dorcy version

  • um do you mean ps3 blue ray

  • John Frusciante - With Love

  • @ludacrisjr7 That is pretty interesting. I never thought they would actually do that. I am sure though that they will limit their ability to print Xbox games on Blu Ray discs. I can't see them letting Microsoft take that too.

  • @Magicman10893 that is tru but microsift will come out with a better way to make disks and hold more storage space on the disks, its just a matter of time

  • Comment removed

  • Light it in Justin Beiber's eye. #LOL

  • @007agent0007 lol try it on his voice box. maybe THAT way he'll eventually hit puberty XDDD

  • @007agent0007 10mw wouldnt damage him alot. But he would turn away

  • There is no god damned Blu Ray diode in any Xbox whether it is the original, the HDDVD addon, the Elite, the Slim or whatever else you think of. That's because there is no "Blu Ray diode." Blu Ray is the DISC! Xbox never had a "Blu Ray Player" addon and it never will because Sony owns Blu Ray! That would be like expecting Sony to let you use the Wiimote for the Playstation Move or Microsoft letting you sync up a PS3 controller to your Xbox because you like the layout!

  • @Magicman10893 According to Stan Glasgow, Sony Electronics US president, "Sony is in talks with console rival Microsoft about offering a Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360." For whatever it's worth, the exec also noted that it was having similar discussions with Apple, which has yet to even offer a Blu-ray option on any of its machines. Unfortunately, not a peep was uttered about potential launch dates, so they are talking about it but it is not realesed yet

  • @ludacrisjr7 maybe a few years ago it would have been a good idea for microsoft or apple but they are all competitors and technologies only last 5-10 years. if they don't get on the wagon early on chances are they're waitin' for a newer better wagon that'll be coming sooner then later. we might have 2 years at the most before blurays are replaced by better technology. although we already had better technology 12+ years ago, it just never reached the market. wasn't wise for consumerism

  • It would be awesome to have an actual glow in the dark car xD

  • THE SONG NAME IS: With Love - John Frusciante .

    PD: Nice video men :)

  • dose in burn

  • song??

    sounds like frusciante

  • it says from an HD DVD player. HD. stop being such a fuckup in linfe troyger.

  • @mutt2798 Learn how to spell, you're going to be fuck-up in life.

  • what musics track was that? cool vid

  • Florescent car :)

  • will it work on a none hd or bluray xbox??

  • the xbox has a bluray diode in the black xbox...its called the elite

  • Well I guess thats one way to get a tan, or a sunburn. Ah hell, thatd give you cancer in a heartbeat!

  • There's no such thing as a BluRay Diode. period!

It's called 405nm laser diode and it's been used by HD DVD as well as BluRay drives.

    So...

    No BluRay in XBox 360.

Yes, a 405 nm diode in XBox 360 HD DVD Addon Drive.

Calling each other gay does NOT make you look smart.

  • @ruyan247 SHUT THE NIGGY UP FOO NO ONE CARES

  • @Ar7ific1al Ahh I see what you mean :) cheers for clearing that up mate, didn't know that until now :)

  • @SMD169 Yeah, not everyone in the world speaks fluent English, bud. Just sayin =P

  • He said it was an "add on drive". so yes, its not technically an xbox drive, and yes xboxes do have red lasers. ADD ON

  • Ivthaugth the sbox has a red lazer

  • You should change the title. "Xbox 360 (blue ray)"? The Xbox 360 never had anything to do with blu ray, and never will, I guarantee. Why did you even put that "(blu ray)" in the title, anyways?

  • @Ar7ific1al ARE YOU STUPID !?!? Xbox dvd drive uses Blue Ray and has used it long before Blue Ray became popular try to read a blue ray disk in a xbox drive and it will read it because it uses a blue ray diode and the diode it extreamly high powered

how do i know My father was developing the Xbox drive and I KNOW THAT THEY USE BLUE RAY

seriously get the fact straight before raging on others

  • @troyger1 are YOU stupid? xbox 360 drives to NOT use blue-ray. they use a standard red beam. i have seen them in action retard. in fact i have a dismantled xbox 360 dvd drive running now. they are not blue-ray. the hdd drive add-on may be but the actual drive for the 360 is definitely not. bullshit did your dad work for m$ if he did. you wouldn't be telling people

  • @DayLight95 Someone needs to calm down, if telling people off about things that don`t matter gets you through your day, then well there is not much help for you

  • @DayLight95 He is talking about using the diode from the now defunct hd dvd addon drive...

  • @DayLight95 The HD dvd drives use a violet beam

  • @DayLight95

you cant see the red beam...

human can´t see 780 nm wavelengh

  • @DayLight95

the original 360's had hd dvd drives which had lasers such as these to read them he may have just thought they were blu ray, the laser is no longer included in xbox's because blu ray beat out hddvd and they stopped manufactuing them

  • @DayLight95 how full of love you are

  • @DayLight95 yes, but the add on hd dvd drive for xbox360 have a 405nm blue-violet laser diode for the reading of hd-dvd disc, but also contain a red laser diode

  • @DayLight95 He used the laser diode from a xbox 360 HD DVD drive. and that uses a violet/blue laser

  • @DayLight95 HD DVD drives use the same basic technology as the Blu-ray. read the description and you'll see that in fact it isnt an XBOX 360 diode, but one from the HD DVD add-on

  • @DayLight95 yea but the blue ray player for the xbox 360 does have a blue laser in it haha noob

  • @Wag3x It's the HD drive add-on which isn't blu-ray, and DayLight95 said the HD drive could possibly have one, so you sir, are Le Noob.

    Also it's violet.

  • @Wag3x dur yea it does search how to take it out haha noob stfu and go choke on your moms dick

  • @DayLight95 go shoot yourself. learn to read the description before you PMS. go change your tampon, you're getting blood all over the comments.

  • @superfly1842 XD

  • @superfly1842 Your so dumb, he's Daylight95 was replying to some "smart-ass" that posted a comment thinking he knows everything. His comment wasn't referring to the laser used in the video. You should read the comments before you PMS. Go change your tampon, you're getting blood all over your stupidity.

  • @kennyx95 all i read was what i said, come up with something yourself before you talk shit.

  • @superfly1842 That's because I was mocking your PMS comment to Daylight95, If you we're smart enough to realize that. And your reply wasn't even relevant to the fact that I just took a shit on your comment. All you have to mention is my mockery, dumb ass hick. Don't act like your the smartest one around here.

  • @kennyx95 i realllllllllly dont wanna get into anything. but im gonna say this, LOL @ EVERYTHING you said and will say because honestly, everything you say is pointless. as what i say because it doesnt make any difference.

  • @superfly1842 Yeah, of course you don't want to "get into anything", because everything that you've said thus far hasn't proved any reasoning to how Daylight95 is stupid because he didn't read the description (according to your comment to him, that was your main point and them). You have nothing to say because YOU are the stupid one that needs to learn how to read other peoples comments correctly. Go back to your hunting in the back yard and quit using the internet, you make urself sound idiotic

  • @DayLight95 you idiot....its the HD DVD drives that use the blue diodes no the 360's themself.

  • @DayLight95

you idiot it's the xbox hd dvd drives that use the blue diodes, he even says so in the description

  • @DayLight95 YES THE HDD DRIVE HAS A BLU-RAY DIODE ASSEMBLY. DONT GET SO ANGRY ok

  • @salopy0 HDD drives have no ray of any kind, you moron. They use a magnetic head to read from a magnetic disc. The OPTICAL DRIVE is a standard DVD drive from BenQ or LiteON depending on the 360 model and is not bluray

    -a non idiot
