Haplogroup M17, also known as R1a1, has proven to be a diagnostic Indo-Iranian marker.The highest R1a1 frequencies in the world are detected in the Central Asian populations of Ishkashemi Tajiks (68%) and Pamiri Tajiks (64%) , both groups being remnants of the original Eastern Iranian population of the region. Apart from these two groups, the eastern parts of the Iranian Highlands generally reveal the highest frequency of R1a1, up to 35%.
As matter of fact the genetic tests conducted in Iran show that no more than 32% of Iranians have J Y-DNA. This is while 34% have R Y-DNA and 15% have G Y-DNA (the other Aryan marker). Also is good to know that R1a shows much higher diversity in Iran than any other country plus the fact that the highest frequency of R1a* and R1a1* is in Iran!
There could be a lot of truth in this. Sarmatians are probably an IRANIAN group of peoples. In fact, in Persian "Sarma" mean "cold". And Sarmatians were probably the northern or cold region Iranians. Another interesting thing happened to me, I saw this beautifully dark haired girl and I could swear she was Iranian or close, and she said she was from Croatia. There definitely is some sort of connection. Also, the Irish Saxons are related to Iranian Skythian Saka. Germans too are an Iranian group.

Isuse ja ne vjerujem da se bilo koji hrvat moze smatrat irancem. Nasa povijest, jezik, kultura, geni - sve govori da smo jedno pleme slavena, koji su pak nastali od stare baltoslavenske skupine. As matter of fact the genetic tests conducted in Iran show that no more than 32% of Iranians have J Y-DNA. This is while 34% have R Y-DNA and 15% have G Y-DNA (the other Aryan marker). Also is good to know that R1a shows much higher diversity in Iran than any other country plus the fact that the highest frequency of R1a* and R1a1* is in Iran!
