  • Well that's why we need more wars, ...... well any wars just pick a country and start .

  • 1. This guy isn't teaching proper row form. Kid is going to throw out his back.

    2. This girl needs a new voice if she's going to advise clients how to present themselves publicly. LAWNG ISLAND REWLZ

  • They say a degree is the best defense against a recession, yet they just showed the story of this top class graduate who's still working the tables at a restaurant, living with her parents. If she had to go into massive debt to get that degree, like most people do, then how is the degree the best defense? Makes no sense to me.

It's hard figuring out the best way forward as a young person these days. Trade school is looking like the best thing for me right now.

  • The issue is the efficiency gains of technologies in virtually every field have passed a tipping point making most forms of human labor unnecessary. So the education indoctrination system is churning out dumbed down grade inflated debt slaves.

The global labor market has turned the cost benefit of a college degree in many areas of study negative. Fields that requires face to face contact is most secure the corps are going to make anything and everything automated and roboticized that they can.

  • I have witnessed wave after wave at companies I have worked for where they hire 10 people they dont need, keep 2 and get rid of the other 8, then can 2 of their existing employees and replace them with the new ones. No new positions created, but the new wages are lower and you are expected to do more. Existing employees are shown that asking for raises is pointless, and the bar has been raised yet again. Better show up another 15 minutes earlier, and leave 15 later, if you dont want to be next

  • In the real economy employers are looking for workers who can do more work then who they currently have hired for less pay. If you will work harder for less pay they make room for you.

In the fake economy (anything meddled with by the government) it has nothing to do with skills and everything to do with complying to their regulations and accepting their programming, then regurgitating the programming back to them unaltered.

  • like it or not you have to take any Job to eat.......take off all your degrees for a while...keep it in the drawer....get out to find a job..any job....in any place..or even overseas...or maybe make your own bussiness at least to fill in your wallet....and eat some crackers for lunch for sure GOD still keep provide to fill in your stomach everyday not more..not less...just hope this bad situation will change to be better soon cheer up and GOD Bless us

  • well, the american dream seems over... what the rest of the world (we) have learn ENGLISH... isn't that funny??? LOL. I think people should stop to search and star to make.

  • Pause at 0:21. The heading of the section is "COMPUTERSKILLS" and she capitalized "Shop" in Photoshop. This resume would've hit the trash bin as soon as it crossed my desk.

  • Online college is the go now!

  • Press 5 for rowing lols

  • It's not an excuse to not work though. People should have the attitude that finding a job is a job itself. and if they're truly not offering any positions, get an easy job beneath you and keep looking. Also @ 5:27, he is the worst rowing coach ever.

  • this is stupid she has no job because she got a bullshit degree in nothing you need to get a degree in something that jobs actually exist and stop blaming the recession. there are a ton of jobs just people are not qualified to do them. have you ever heard of a jobless enginer?

  • @1SIMplePimpSON1 yes my cousin and his neighbor unemployed engineers

  • @1SIMplePimpSON1 Well if it ain't the recession then why isn't anyone hiring? I can't even get a job pushing shopping carts around do you need a degree in that too nowadays? Seems like it. Blame the asshole HR people for making hiring processes so god damn impossible.

  • this is stupid she has no job because she got a bullshit degree in nothing you need to get a degree in something that jobs actually exist and stop blaming the recession.

  • Look what the 'economist' from Stanford says at 3:51. Of course she'd say that, so biased, remember colleges are businesses, so they want more money and more intakes!

  • I feel her pain. I think most people our age are stuck in this rut - and it's only getting worst. Some of us have more academic experience than working, much causes more problems. It's hard to relocate with no money & no where to live. You can't live on your own making 7.50/hr - not even 10 in some places! People are trying to get me to go back to school - no thanks! AMERICAN DREAM = I think a lot of people are starting to wake up!!!

  • No more dummies in the military... good for America in this hi-tech world, win for all, right?

  • If there is no way to live why not just chew on a .45 barrel? Its looking better and better as each day passes.

  • American Dream = Bullshit

  • hahaha obama, gov't is the problem you idiot....stop guaranteeing student loans!

  • New degrees? I'll be in debt for the rest of my life. Hell! I think I still be in debt AFTER I die.

  • I spent the better part of 2011 in housing court. I got a job for 2 1/2 months that saved me, but now that I'm laid off, I'm again running the risk of homelessness because I have a clueless mother and an arrogant brother who got a B.A. in computer science in 1994.

  • @scottandrewhutchins Shit, thats tough man. Americas got it worse than any other country. The great recession is what their starting to call it.

  • @TheJamesrocket - more like a depression!

  • @scottandrewhutchins - oh I know! A lot of people think just because they made it others can too! That was then, this is now! I don't think many people realize that. Like with the occupy movement. I can't tell you how many times people call them lazy college students who need to get a job. I hate that!

  • Today is my 36th birthday. I earned a B.A. in '99 and an M.A. in '05. I moved away to go to grad school, and my mom won't have me back (Dad died in '07). She insists that it's my fault and not the economy that I can't find a job. She tells me to flip burgers even though I have plantar fasciitis, sciatica, slipped disc, and scoliosis such that I spasm and fall if I have to stand for 3+ hours. I've revamped my resume a couple dozen times and send between 50-100 resumes per week.

  • College is not worth the cost these days. I say go to community college or take an internship and work after high school.

  • @catfishblues123 - I stopped at an AA degree. Right now, I refuse to go back to school unless it's for a trade or certification.

  • It costs me the equivalent of 2880 dollars in fees to go to school here in Ireland per year. American students could make 4 times what I make (which they don't) and still be poorer then me due to massive debt.

Until thats fixed American students are never going to be competitive.

  • OCCUPY WALL STREET = GODS ON EARTH

  • @Armin600 you should be occupying the federal reserve and capitol hill, they are the source of the problem

  • when will america get it. the bank and the community cannot co-exist. one is predator (the bank) the other is prey (you and me). its that simple. america is being run like a perfect company right now. hows that working out for you? the video you just saw stands testimony.

america will never understand this, or even do anything about it when they do, because of the constant ocean of illegal immigration here at any moment, that serve as a standing army of tax-subsidized strikebreakers.

  • ill die on the street before i die for the elitists in the mid east or anywhere else

  • studied public relations, no wonder she can not get a job

  • @Ps05205 with a degree its still quite hard to get a job in this recession...........but when you have a degree in something as worthless as that right now your chances of a job are 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

  • Debt Debt Debt!

  • Your Resume needs A LOT of work, you honestly believe computer skills include facebook, and myspace you need a wake up call...

  • america the new third world

  • Freshmen at career fairs? Bad, knee-jerk reaction

  • @motelcalifornia Career fairs!!! Gotta love them! They have them at my community college twice per year, and business professionals are the ones who attend them---not community college students!

  • No one who wants to attend a public uni should EVER have to be in debt for tens of thousands of $'s. That is plain crazy, and it only tells us just how corrupt our education system has become...

  • Ron Paul 2012! Abolish Student Loans!

  • "...But when she graduated with a degree in public relations..."

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand there's your problem.

  • american students are getting shafted, in australia we have government loans for college, interest is only at rate of inflation, about 3% - the U.S. is all about big business in collusion with the government in screwing the future generations. A populace in debt is easily managed.

The U.S. system is an abomination, even a bad job in Australia makes 50 thousand U.S. dollars a year - australia rules - as a school teacher and academic coach i make $60 per hour - get out of america, it sucks

  • @imajica77

I cannot afford a plane ticket :-( Where could I move to and get citizenship?

  • @mistacramer i think in countries like Canada u will need at least 10,000 in ur bank account(supposed to last a year so u get on ur feet). It might be the same case in Australia. U don't want to go the UK right now. They are having bad times too.

  • @imajica77 well maybe Australia should make it easier to immigrate there. That point system is mean =/

U need to have an education, several years of experience, not be above a certain age. etc. Come on Aussie!

  • You go to college and you major in debt. Your career is unemployed.

  • @vfIskullangel

    Where do I sign up!

  • 7.50 dollar a hour ? are you proud of usa ? Do you live american dream ?

Why not move another country ? do a change...

  • My parent's generation is using the social security money my generation payed in, and my children won't be able to earn the money to provide for me and my husband when we're too old to take care of our selves. I'd Say the parents of the kids in college right now are pretty screwed too.

  • i did my undergrad, found work and worked for 4 years.. then started a masters.. i did the masters and worked full time, even though i got a pretty sweet scholarship.. anyways, one way to do school without debt is to work

  • Take no student loans. If it takes 15 years (part time) to get a degree, then it does. Try to work at least part time in what you are going into (studying for - I mean something that is at least related).

  • It seems that most people do not have a clue how bad things are and will get.

  • Classic story: "everyone said you would be fine to find a job." People need to think for themselves, but it is possibly rather true that schools try to pressure a person to do the opposite. See if you agree with what I wrote here.

  • It depends on what your degree is in. I know a guy who completed an Associate's degree in Nursing, passed the exam, he got a job in 3 weeks, $30 per hour, no experience. And that's in Las Vegas, NV, probably the worst enemployment rate in the US.

  • @jmzzz1 Exactly!! Go to college focusing on jobs that will get you hired faster. Healthcare, and Law are the best bets.

  • @jmzzz1 SHHHHH! You can't tell people to use logic. I got a degree in Electrical Engineering in from UNLV - funny how I was offered jobs left and right (domestic and foreign) because we don't have enough engineers in the world. But hey, I guess people would rather get an easy degree where they can party throughout college, than spend five years studying and getting a degree that does guarantees a job. Karma is a biatch and I love seeing all those idiots with LibArts degrees whine about jobs.

  • FLEXABLE PAYS THE BILLS RIGHT ??,,AT $8.25 AN HOUR !!

  • Get a degree in actual hard sciences like engineering, work harder, or better yet how about doing ROTC at your college or just enlisting.

  • obamas solution: Your degree is worthless, so get another one. You need 2 degrees then you will be fine.

  • America has done a great job killing the next generation. Way to go jerks.

  • education is great! student debt...not so much.

  • i'm in the same boat now I'm devastated , depressed broke, land of opportunity my ass more like land of the corrupted and lairs and cheaters.

  • 2:39 Funny quote from President Obama: "You'll have to keep on gaining new skills, possibly even new degrees...possibly even MORE debt, and you'll have to KEEP on taking more risks, as new 'opportunities' arise."

  • hmm. 0:20 she obviously need to learn how to make a decent resume. And Evernote, Foursquare, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn are not computer skills. She maybe an impressive candidate, but this resume doesn't live up to her potential.

  • she is smokin hot, she will be working very soon, it's all based on the law of attraction, so think I WILL, I CAN and it will deliver, it always will

  • my buddy was like half a million in student loan debt, BA, MA and four years at a ripoff Chiropractic school 50K a year, so his solution was leave the US and the debt and never come back, fucking smart

  • I make 16.20 an hour as a building super. My college education is worthless lmao...... thank god I worked as a construction worker while in college.

  • we need, we need, we need.... make it happen already obama!!!

  • A degree is shit.. learn an actual skill.. there's no resession. Just competing business that fire employees so they keep more money.. start innovating start making business ... college is a scam

  • One may go to college, obtain the degrees needed, but if everyone is laying off employees you've wasted your time! You better be thinking about making your one business. Working for others in America is a waste of time 99% of the time it's who you know is who gets the promotions or good job. Become self dependant and live off the grid!

  • Get new degrees? Yeah right. Be willing to incur more debt and gamble with your job prospects. Screw that.

  • WTF?!? How can one adapt by taking new degrees, when one has debt of near $100.000? Who in the right mind takes another degree, with more debt accumulating, and with the hopes that few years in future, the fake economy will be in better shape? I just lol-ed.

  • @TibbyMy It's sad, but a lot of people fall for the education trap. The only real winners are the lending companies.

  • Everyone in this video is an idiot (said the high school dropout with a shitty job and 80,000$ saved from said job.)

  • Isn't that something though? Joining the army. My brother is retired from the the navy. He is struggling because he only gets 1000.00 a month. I don't know much about the navy but I was under the impression that the government would my brother better in addition, he has some rare brain disease I just found out. He is struggling. I was confused because he should not be struggling with bills and he helped serve the country since 1986. A thousand dollar check plus paying for the house..etc? What?

  • @miyayo Its based on the false utopia idea of "there our no dumb people. Only ones without an opportunity"... Which is false. Because there our dumb people and a college education doesn't help.

I blame the 1960's "equality" movements.

  • @fargonbastedge And you are one of those "dumb people", because you don't even know the difference between "are" and "our".

  • The Government is the source of all of these problems.

They need to wise up, fire department after department (EPA, DOE, DHS, etc), wean people off of entitlements, and abolish the personal and corporate income taxes.

The military was meant to defend the USA. Very little of the military budget goes to defense unfortunately.

  • There's your problem right there at 00:19 . . . "Bachelor of Arts"

  • @zed6952 Yeah, I don't even know what that is and how is that degree helping the economy? I am unemployed renewable energy engineer for more than a year now. So she should be really lucky to get that job.

  • The cops and sheriffs need to organize to NOT kick people out of their homes for non-payment of the Uncle Sam sponsored Land-rent-property tax scam. Make it legal to work and reside without extortion payments. Hey, there's an idea! No extortion payments?! Why, theft is necessary to pay for services. Hmm - I wonder if that principle works for theft of sex, too....

  • similar things happen in canada too , i have seen people graduated from university and not been able to find jobs after 1 year .

  • @ajazaad did they go to McGill =)

  • this is why im joining the military

  • I'm sad. It took me four month to land a full time job after graduation. I was struggling like crazy.

  • Honestly I think these stories are somewhat misguiding. I need a few people who will help me by opening a practice account on Fxstreet.com. I will make contact with you on a daily basis with profitable selections. The brokers that offer practice trading accounts on your smartphone are Gft and Acm. Otherwise you will need a laptop or tablet. This is TOTALLY legit and you WILL see results from your very first day. My mail is on Gmx. It is nadetime7. JOBS are not the only path to increase.

  • This is a recruiting video! Taking advantage of people who lost hope!

  • Yeah he said it...ADAPT...keep going back to school...get new degrees...ADAPT...what the F'ing F???!!!

Just keep hanging on...until the labor force comes back....tell that to the politicans, the fed, and the wall street cronies who took advantage of millions of people by stealing their money! Wall Street, how about you PAY for it! Congress, FED, you pay for it!

  • The bachelors degree is the new high school diploma.

  • hei, she is cute. wanna be my secretary ?

  • "new skills" - what BS. Show me some data about fluctuating sectors- show me where career guidance and trend analysis has it all wrong.

  • Join Facebook Group College Students with Talent and No Jobs

  • It isn't just new graduates having trouble getting jobs. Try finding a job when you're over 50 and out of work. My degree in an engineering field is worthless and so is all of my experience. I'm looking for delivery driver jobs, anything to keep me busy. After two years out of a job I am going stir crazy. Wish I had never even attended university.

  • College the new back breaking debt!

  • 6:25 He wants to join the military lmao.. don't dude I wasted 4 years of my life in the military before I wasted 4 years in college. I am seriously contemplating suicide because my parents are kicking me out and I have nowhere to go.

  • Obama is like a car salesmen - who scammed soooo many people with this college brainwash that has lots bought on this. this is ridiculousness PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP!!!

  • It was these Millennials who are voted for Obama in droves and are responsible for him being elected.

Hey Kiddies, Elections have consequences. You are getting what you voted for.

When you are still working at McDonalds at 25 maybe you will grasp the consequences of your actions

  • Not only college but trades are just as good and rewarding now.

  • could have put all that tuition money into gold and then you would be realistic and much, much wealthier and NO DEBT either.

  • This vid disturbed me cause i am pursuing a degree in architecture. -_-

  • This vid disturbed me cause i am pursuing a degree in architecture. -_-

  • @hatobureikazu

The guy in the video has a bachelor's not a master's, which means he's probably not a certified architect.

The worst thing you can do is to fall into the liberal arts trap. My parents lead me into liberal arts not realizing that college education is much different today than in the 70's. Everybody and his dog has a degree, and if you're not in business, computer science, engineering, etc then your job propsects will be slim indeed.

  • ya give back to a country that has stolen everything from everyone

  • I'm glad I don't live in the States right now. I mean anyone with some knowledge can see that the U.S. is in shambles and the worst has yet to come. Honestly if just graduated in the U.S. and couldn't find a job I would either go into a trade or become a teacher.

  • @1994GamerGuy dude you wouldnt wanna live in Europe either

  • College is a rip off.

  • PPL STOP COMPLAINING AND CREATE YOUR OWN JOBS NOW!!!!!!!!!!! STOP DEPENDING ON EMPLOYERS HIRING YOU. THE PROBLEM IS THAT STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM COLLEGE AND GET A FANCY DEGREE SO THEY CAN GET HIRED. NO ONE DOESN'T WANT TO CREATE JOBS ANYMORE PEOPLE JUST WANT TO WORK 4 SOMEBODY. THIS COUNTRY HAS NO INNOVATION. WHO CAN BLAME THEM OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS NEVER THOUGHT US HOW TO CREATE JOBS.

  • well that's not too far fetched i mean tons of girls call cam-whoring their career now because of the economy, plus they like the attention

  • i have a college degree for a year now.. unemployed...i have considered stripping ...or a sugardaddy website to pay my debt.. who knew

  • I have so much student debt. I managed to find a job that I work for 15 hours a week at 7.50 an hour. I looked for months for this job. I'm 23 and I've come to the conclusion that I may never be able to afford a family, or a house, or even a life where I can experience new things. My quality of life has diminished. It's a sad fact that I will likely have to wait till one of my parents dies to pay off my bills. I'm surprised I haven't heard of rising suicide rates among new grads like me...

  • @gev2323 what was your college major and how much debt do you carry?

  • @gev2323 ALL of you American "Graduated COLLEGE Dimploma Students "COME TO CANADA, Abandon your"DEEP MAJOR RECCESSION NOT YOUR EDUCATION"! Your BEST Answer is COME TO CANADA Abondon your U.S.A."INSANE" Country. The Minimum Wage in CANADA is $11.25Per/Hour!This Translates that if you come to CANADA,By CANADIAN LAW, All Employing Businesses MUST Pay you The CANADIAN Minimum Wage of $11.25 Per/Hour by LAW in CANADA Only!!This means also that Graduated HIgh School Students who Work,= $11.25Per/Hour!!

  • @gev2323

Well this is the case because you have a bad attitude and you should have worked harder in college and majored in something marketable. I had a part time job my junior year that paid 4 times what you get paid. Why?

Because I majored in Accounting which is a solid degree. Engineering and nursing are also solid degrees!

  • @gev2323 yes life sucks, but remember, it didn't have to be this way...had the democracy not fallen asleep and elected good fake christian talkers like GWBush and the GOP/and some Liberals, we never would've had to suffer. Suffering/lack of job, is just insane in this great generation...but some people position themselves to SUCK UP all the wealth while destroying the wealth creating foundation. U need to vote, at the very least.

  • @gev2323 Maybe save for a low-cost house with at least 2 acres with low property tax and buy it. Then you're out of your parent's house. Talk to an attorney about what can be done to get money from (from your paychecks), so you know what to expect. And learn to be self-sufficient (car repairs, grow food, etc.) and you should be more able to survive okay on less income.

  • Um. I really don't want to reinvest in an institution that has failed me the first time, only with a HOPE of getting hired. There are people with master's working in Starbucks and Olive Garden you know? So why would I take the advice to pursue higher education, again?! I can continue in retail, or continue being a waitress, barista or cashier with my bachelors without the additional thousands of dollars of debt. Thank you! I'm not getting to the doctorate level just to be an admin. assnt.

  • @Nerdstradamas That is what I'm talking about. In biotech, a masters does almost nothing for you. You will get a shot at about 10% more jobs in Florida. A PhD is the only way to seemingly be able to afford a life, and that will only come after 4+ years of tough work and stress. Oh, and debt.

  • TIger woods will hire.

  • She has a part time job? I can't even get that right now. Lucky if you ask me.

  • I am so fed up with this unemployment & poverty garbage, the big had sold us out and stabbed us in the back for their own personal selfish gain and the government sided with them all the way for their own benefits as well not to mention the academia people had been corrupted by these filthy foul disgusting super wealthy. It’s time to take a stand, remember the great depression? The German found a savior called Hitler, the Italian found theirs named Mussolini.

  • Caroline is pretty much flawless really in looks.

  • Earning new degrees and to keep on taking risks??? With the horrible debt they face going back for another degree??? Lordy, I am a Gen X-er who wants to go back, but cringes at going back into debt (lucky to have scholarships/grants to help out the first time). Our poor kids...no jobs to pay back loans that they are expected to take on to get an education...no jobs, but the banks will still break you if you try and cannot make enough to pay them back. What a shitty catch-22.

  • it about savin money why shud they hire u while they can hre in china and india pppl for 1 $ a day . i say let go to a economic war against china and those 1 billion ppl nation by imposng tariff on them that the solution in my opinion``

  • These same unemployed people were the ones blindly yelling "yes we can!" not that long ago. They are now reaping the benefits of liberalism.

  • @mattrmc19 Obama isn 't the problem. Jobs aren't hiring b/c they have don't have faith in the public to buy their products. Did Barrack cause that no. The previous adminstration. 11 million jobs lost. Doesn't matter if Obama gave gold out people would be struggling.

  • I graduated with a degree in English ten years ago. It makes a great paperweight. I make $9/hr and I'm lucky to have it. I have no hope left of ever finding a job in this country outside of retail. I'm moving to South Korea and won't come back. Our country is filled with corruption and our generation is SCREWED!!!!

  • CAPITALISM creates ELITE CRIMINALS. BANKERS. DRUG LORDS. INEQUALITY. INSECURITY. GREED. RUTHLESS COMMUNISM. NWO. NAZI. TERRORISM. LAZY PEOPLE. REBEL POLITICIAN. ANARCHY. worst is WAR etc.. etc..

CAPITALISM was designed only for CORRUPT OPPORTUNISTIC MANIPULATIVE LAZY POLITICIAN. BANKERS. LAWYERS. DRUG LORDS. JUDGES. CRIMINALS. DICTATORS. RULERS. KING. SULTANATE. EMPEROR etc. etc..

HARD WORKING PEACE LOVING HAPPY HONEST SOCIETY were always the slave victim and poorly starve to death. :(

  • In the UK many girls are turning to prostitution to fund their undergraduate degrees...it used to be just postgraduates that did this in London etc...but now its undergrads as well...some of them were my TKD students!!!

Wonder what the UK will be like with hookers running the country? Also, many of the older baby boomers in 'respectable' jobs are their 'clients' including some university 'people'..with a wife and children (and a Mercedes) of course.

Some clients are even politically involved.

  • "Be prepared to adapt"

And by "adapt", do you mean settle for less, Mr. Obama? Because that IS the one option in this "economy of no opportunity".

So thank you: Wall Street, Academia, and legislators. As if it weren't enough that our generation will retire without the safety net of SOCIAL SECURITY - we also get to borrow an unprecedented amount of debt for degrees that lead nowhere because Wall Street ate our lunch.

As for more "advanced degrees" - I don't reward failures. Academia's grade: F

  • "Be prepared to adopt" - President Obama

Take the below minimum wage job that you can barely survive on.

  • It's sad. New graduates become porn, prostitution, drug dealing and cannon fodder material in the US these days. The Wall Street vultures sold them false dreams, got them into debt and now use them as expendable garbage in wars that should have never been. They sent valuable young men to die in Iraq for them, while they f**k the most gorgeous girls for free, because all of the kids must return the money they borrowed back with high interest. What a great country!!

  • Giving back to your state? what has your state done for you besides trap you into fighting in a war that was started to line the pockets of ExxonMobil, and Halliburton? Holding people hostage bc they owe 20,000 dollars is wrong. " Hey go to Iraq and clear roadside bombs, and risk your life and getting your limbs blown off and we will forgive your debt, but try and stay here and make an honest living and we will tack on late charges with interest irregardless of if you are gainfully employed. "

  • Doing what David is doing is incredible and demanding cuz the economy is dying now. There are more unemployed ppl than there are ten years ago. I would surely join the army too if my daily job happen to lay me off due to the employer closing its door.

  • for all of those people who say a degree is worthless, what makes you think you have a chance with your hs diploma against someone with a bachelors especially in a down economy? i agree it is a debt trap, but otherwise join the army, or work a non union construction job and get paid shit

  • lazy loser

  • Why would you put Facebook and Twitter on your resume? lol

  • @ace-- I admire your optimism, but some things come with experience as well. I have an Ivy League degree and have been doing everything I can for the past 18 months to find a job. I've sent out over 500 resumes. You may be singing a different tune when you're a college grad yourself.

  • I graduated college in 07 with business and chemistry degrees, I can find a job but they are all min wage and after student loan payments I cant afford rent! I am thinking of putting my chem degree to real use and start a drug lab!

  • @larsonb33 I can't condone that but drug sales are hardly ever hurt, if that says anything.

In a barter economy, it works well too...

  • @larsonb33 If you're thinking of using your chem degree to start a drug lab let me know. I have a bachelors in global logistics and supply chain management. I'm very good when it comes to transportation/shipping distribution of resources and management over inventory. Right now I work a shitty min wage job. I told my mom I would be much more efficient distributing drugs to it's designated locations and she couldn't help but laugh considering my college degree would actually be put to use.

  • LMFAO ! PUBLIC RELATIONS ? ( Girl at beginning )

YOU HAVE TO GO INTO SOMETHING THAT THERE IS DEMAND !

  • wont matter where heading for a collapse soon, enjoy life while you can

  • The worst thing we can do in today's economy is play the victim. I am 15 years old and a committed business owner. People need to simply be creative, focus on adding their value, and through doing that take control of their own financial destiny. I don't know who you are if you are reading this, but I a credible vehicle to financial freedom, and if we can help kids before they reach college, we can create a free and wealthy generation.

  • @ace61395 Im 16 almost 17. Ive been trying to get a job for a while. I've applied over 200 times. My eyes hurt from staring at the computer screen and answering questions. I was thinking of what you wrote, to get creative. But at this point no idea I think of is a good one. Im a creative, infact I love bieng creative, but its a blank. Any other advise?

  • @ace61395 I am curious to know what your business is. I also recently started a business selling drugs, and I am not doing so well. What kind of business do you have?

  • Buy products from US

  • Every time I try it-OLD SCHOOL I get told to go online! Even Walmart, and target tell you to go online. I have to say 1 reply to 150 is about right. Even though mine is less than that. I send out at LEAST 10 a day for the last 700+ days. Still looking. Rarely do they send you a reject email, and I can't remember a postal mail reject. You used to get those all the time! Their are more than 5 people for every job. If that was the case with my experience I would have had a job long ago.

  • @indyman77 Dude, I got an interview with a biotech company, and they cancelled it before I even got there.

  • The banksters and politicians have collectively decimated the middle class in this country.

  • I hate it when Boomers who had everything easy in life try and empathize with the Lost Generation of today's students. Encouraging everyone with a pulse to go to college, like Obama and the higher education industrial complex do, is as much a part of the problem as anything. When our parents graduated, a college degree was still uncommon enough to be a benefit in the job market. Now it's as worthless and as commonplace as a GED. Too many grads, diluted value, not nearly enough jobs. We're cooked

  • @miyayo not only that ...a 4.0 used to mean something - now they are handed out like tic-tac... degrees are not worthless - but pretty darn close. ROI on a collage degree is insane.!

  • @miyayo The real problem is that too many people get bull degrees. Only about 20% of Americans have degress and of that I would guess half are worthless.

  • @miyayo

Had everything easy in life? Are you saying this because you grew up in a wealthy family? What percentage of kids could actually get college degrees back then? The grass is always greener in a field you know nothing about.

The generation that actually had it the best is mine, the GenXers. Plenty of opportunity for a university education and a rapidly expanding tech economy to accommodate all the graduates.

  • @miyayo Well said -- these problems are not new, its been this way for 20 years. Job challenges for todays college are more visible now.........

  • @miyayo And To Help You Blow Off Some Steam, Like I Have To Do At Times, Is Search For ' George Carlin Baby Boomers' here on Youtube. He was always on point. Good luck to you. I say our generation should be focused on being entrepreneurs and creating jobs. - Start a home business. Okay, I wish the best for you and our Gen. Y

  • @miyayo I am in complete agreement with you, Boomers have everything, they got to see the greatest benefits from the greatest generation, We get the Generation X moving in and they were known as the Money Hungry Gen, hey man no worries we are already getting called the Next Greatest Generation we will fix this

  • @miyayo I hate it when my generation looks down on previous generations for their high expectations. If you get a real college degree, it will open up the door for an entry level job if you can interview and show your value. Sitting through visual arts classes and being a shit-head during an interview is NOT going to get you six figures.

  • @miyayo You are cooked my friend!! And all those lazy, superficial people who are just so fuking "modern" and think that this shit like PR is actually a job. I am actually glad she didn't find work. Why is she complaining? What did she study? Jobs are those of engineers, doctors, farmers, judges, civil servants, mechanics, computer sciencetist...you know, basically something that is contributing to human life! Yes, it's harder to study but at least we don't have to complain afterwards

  • Just think of how it is for us kids that have not even gotten in or through college yet because of this recession.... its quite a bit worse...

  • @dcummuta And that's why some people chose to start working instead of collage. But good luck to you.

  • jesus this girl is cute ;)
