@imedarooler It is, but don't take it too literally as the ELEVENTH Doctor's theme - it's really just meant to convey the Doctor, doing the epic timey-wimey things he does. The idea of the video was to score these scenes more along the lines of how they would be done now in the show, and naturally, that means using 'I Am The Doctor' when the Doctor does amazing, epic things. And frankly, I think it fits pretty well here...

I think what's REALLY special about all this is that the future Doctor didn't just save River, but her and all of her friends. Backing her and them up on his screwdriver... so that his past self could download them into the core and they could all live out their own 'happy ending' ^_^ kind of nice for River too, a nice 'retirement' in a happy home after all those years she spent in prison

@echelon435 I agree - the entire ending of Forest of the Dead is Doctor Who, perhaps at its best ever. I wanted to do a rescore for a powerful sequence in the show, and this one is the first to come to mind. I believe I put it in my description that the original is indeed better, but I think this works well on its own. I'm not trying to make it better - I'm trying to make it like Murray would score it now, hence the inclusion of I Am the Doctor, for instance. And I think it actually works...!
The Life and Death of Amy Pond is one of my favorite Doctor Who songs and River's death is one of the most moving scenes in nearly 50 years and your mix adds so much more to the story

I could quote River's symbolic statement from The Impossible Astronaut that she thinks meeting the Doctor when he doesn't know her is going to kill her. Or Murray Gold's Series 4 album trackliner notes - '[T]he end of the Silence in the Library two-parter felt tonally complex; did it celebrate a happy life lived as an illusion. Was River Song saved or condemned?' It's kind of open to interpretation, despite my title.
