  • Speak louder, u sound like a fucking abe

  • hi i'm studying in computer electronics in college and i was wondering how did you know where to solder the wires on your mobo ?

  • @ca280491 If they don't tell you that in your computer electronics courses what do they teach you at all?! ;)

  • @scheissfreaks everything except computer stuff -_-

  • this is a great mod! do you think you coul put up some more info on the soldering? thanks

  • I tried this, but never got it to work. I was using an x18-m G2. Wasn't sure if I was wiring the power wrong or wiring the SATA port wrong. I used 30 AWG wire, and left the bridge chip in place. I got the pins from looking at pictures in a german thinkpad forum, but i wasnt sure if there was anything else i had to do other than hook the wires up directly to a sata cable.

  • Can you provide some further information on the modifications you did to your x41?

I know there is large variety of drives for the 1.8" pata interface that they use in the x41, but being able to use an SSD sata drive would be very nice.

  • Great Mod man! Do you get the 2010 error? Thanks for sharing!

  • Yes, unfortunately you get the 2010 error.

  • whats 2010 error?

  • @bigdima3 2010 error: happens when you replace the hard drive with a non-original (not IBM / Lenovo). Esay to bypass, though.

  • its 1.8 inch awesome, , exact the same size of an ipod hdd but with sata interface , ,its not impressively fast tho ,
