hi mate, super work. Reminds me of some serious workouts in the 80s and 90s. May I ask where you learned to partial deadlift like that? Keep pumping mate. regards michael in dublin.
so rather then lifting from the floor I set the rack to about 1-2 foot from the floor and it is now considered a partial? I can't do regular deadlifts my legs are to damn long.
saw your reply about the nerve problem ,I broke my pelvic bone doing squats a few years ago , thenI was 37 an 180lb, squating 420 for 8 reps . the nerve in my leg has never been the same, drives me crazy, so what did you do to fix the problem?
I work on both partial and full deadlifts. However, I was relegated to partials only because of strained hamstrings that refused to heal. Now they're healed but I've had a sciatic nerve problem that I've been dealing with.
I hope to be able to deadlift again some time in the near future.
Also, I've been relegated to partials only because I've pulled my hamstrings and they've stubbornly refused to fully heal so that I can start pulling from the floor again.
Wow, I'm so impressed with all that weight for (partial) reps! Good work man. Lol @ the guys staring

I've been using an inversion bench - stretches the spine and completely took out the sciactic issue.
It works incredibly well for just about any back issue.

great lifts (even if u lowered the bar too quickly, which can actually bent the bar completely). :D

I got bored out of my fucking mind 30 seconds in - just cut to the lifting already.

I'm so sorry you were bored - this truly pains me, Chris.

holly shit this is exactly a lesson on how to mess up a disc
CR250RidR 2 years ago
That might be true if you're not capable of lifting the weight.
Since I am there's relatively no chance of messing up a disc.
Not to mention that if you're strong enough and your form is good - you're in little danger of messing up your back.
But thanks for the input.

got one question u only work on partial deads cuz u had a torn hamstrings? or u just did partial cuz it has more benefit from it?

What is the primary focus of partial deads? Is it low back, glutes, or hams?
hwdstrn 3 years ago
The primary focus is your lower back, as well as overall back thickness in general.

God no wonder your hamstrings tore- your ams and spine are going to snap next if you lift that much.

Geez, that bar really bends and bounces! How much do you weigh now?
zippyman818 3 years ago
Well... in this video I was around 305. I'm around 280 at the moment. Staying heavier was just too much work each day!
TheFitConnection 3 years ago
On the same topic, what is your heaviest bodyweight so far?
coal7311 3 years ago
My heaviest was 310lbs, but I honestly don't see myself ever getting that heavy again. It's just too much work.
TheFitConnection 3 years ago
Never knew you got that big. Was that when you were om the fifteen meal a day plan?

thank you for the post!
