  • awesome riding!! love your tack!! all mine is lime green too. except my horse is white not black. personally i dont really think you over used your crop. In my opinion a crop is better then using spurs and kicking. Awesome job

  • LOL I almost always game with my feet out of the sturrips just like you did

  • thank goodness you were wearing a helmet

  • you have to wear helmets at 4-h. are at least in ga

  • love the lime green tack!!

  • your really good!!! your pony is super cute and super fast!!! xD

  • that was GREAT!!!

you and your horse are AWESOME!!!!

  • I dont think you over used your crop.

its better, in my opinion, to use your crop then kick the crap and air outta your horse.

    if used properly,

the crop is only asking for speed,

    and not abusing your horse.

    NOT TRYING TO CAUSE FIGHTS>

    JUST STATING MY OPINION.

  • OMG I love the lime green stuff! its amazing! you sadly cant get stuff that colour for english, I miss western :(

  • yes you can look at my freind marvinmeganlove she is a jumper all her stuff is lime green

  • nice no sturrip ride at 3:47 how did you fall

  • You did awesome dont worry about all them people that are talking about the whip some horses need it and some dont. i was impressed you rode without stirrups alot lol good job!!!

  • AWESOME!

  • haha i ride gymkhana and my colors lime green too!! and thats a nice little pole horse you got there =] and you're keyhole? that was sweet!!! i can barely even get my horse into the key beacuse she doesnt like the chalk! well done!

  • just a little helping hand... you should try putting your heels down... i had that problem alot when i was first starting out.. i run barrels, poles, and stake race and it helps your turns alot too because it shifts your weight to his but and off his front so he can sit on his haunches and use his front to steady himself and launch.

  • Your right there some horses that need a crop or spurs and some that need nothing

  • Those are some good runs! I luv your horses! I almost went with the lime green too but I changed my mind and got back and pink =) Very well put together! Seems like you lost your sturrups pretty often tho... same thing happens to me when I game as well tho. It can get so annoying lol

  • wow.... Try patterning your horse..... He has some potential though

  • haha girl dont even sweat this people bein mean to you! you are a great rider!! and crops dont bother horses inless you like put all of your power into it. keep up the good work and i love the lime green!!!

  • I love this video. And don't worry about the whole crop thing. Some horses are even trained to where if you give them a touch with something on their rump they'll get up and go. I ride a barrel horse that's like that. And your poles were great! The horse looked confident and happy. Good job. =]

  • Awesome vid and beautiful horse. I can't wait to start barrel racing and pole bending my mare. I've never done it before.

  • dont listen to ppls stupid comments ur fine. and do u like using nylon bridle/reins for speed events? i found a set that included a nylon bridle noseband tie down reins and breast strap that i wanted to get for my horse for speed events but idk. and i noticed u lose ur stirrups alot that used to happen to me a lot, u can use a rubber band to keep ur foot in the stirrup and it breaks easily if u fall. great vid. =]

  • the nylon reins are ok. I actually prefer the braided reins now though. :) But I use nylon when I don't have a matching color, lol. I have nothing against the nylon strips. =D

  • does ur 4-H group not go by PETA???

bunch of times i go to shows and talk to friends in 4H crops r either not allowed or only three smacks.....

    i really think u r fine..it's ain't abuse...i use crops and quirts all the time=]

  • *shrug* don't really know if they worry about PETA or not. They allow the crops and whips and stuff, though they do reserve the right to disqualified for improper use of it (such as whipping outside of the actual timed run) and they don't allow cropping, slapping, ect. in front of the cinch, but other than that they're pretty tolerant about it... I don't think I've ever heard of someone getting DQed for it in our district/state.

    =)

  • holy...moshoney your video has created a huge argument its funnyLOL i liked the vid the horse looked really cute in the vid...do you still have him/her?

  • lol ^_^ yep, he's got a home with us for life. =D

  • you have an excellent keyhole horse

    what is his fastest time??

    also what breed is he

    good job

  • thank you =D he's a registered quarter horse, his damn is appendix

and his fastest time has been a 8.1 I believe. Though its hard to really say because the distance to the hole is almost never the same, lol x_X sometimes its short sometimes its deep, lol ^_^

  • She is doing fine. Stop speaking gibberish.

I did horse riding in france and sometimes you need to use a whip not too much and not to hurt of course, just kind of motivation, or a way to teach. You also give carrots or sugar.

  • jesus christ next you will be saying that horse racing is cruel they hit their horses to go faster or even eventing YES show jumpers and cross country jumpers flog their horses. so get the fuck over it

  • I don't understand the pleasure of beating the shit out of a horse...

  • oh, don't be so melodramatic.

    : /

    geez...

  • Well i don't, you were inflicking pain on that horse just to win. That's sick.

  • Oh get off your high horse! You are over-exaggerating the issue; labeling me in a way I do not appreciate. I love how brave you are to sit behind a computer screen and accuse others of being "sick" in instances that are far from it. Horses aren't made of glass, and my crop is a long way from inflicting enough pain to be labeled as sick. To be sick would mean I acted with the intent to cause harm. Grow up. There's a hell of lot worse out there so get off your soap box and go pester someone else!

  • dont worry bout wut these people say. its actually pretty well known that most of the ppl that are obcessed wit PETA and all animal protection things have MENTAL ISSUES. i barrel race and know all about it. obviously ppl dont get it that we are not trying to hurt our horses we are encouraging them to run faster. so great job and great vid. =]

  • lol, thanks ^_^

  • If you ride horses, which according to your account, you do, you should understand about crops. She's not "beating the shit out of [her] horse" and you should know that. Otherwise, you need to be educated in what abuse REALLY is.

  • It's good to see you wearing a helemt; riding without stirrups was a joy to watch and the editing made the entire clip superb

  • yea i agree, its good balance to still have control w/o your stirrups, but w/ me its a diff. story lol, cause i ride sadleseat, so its a bigger deal if i loose one lol.

  • You know i dont care what those mean people are saying you did realy well. And it takes a good rider to go that fast and make such bens without the stirrups. So what if you lost them at times and least you stuck it trough you were a good rider and are a better one now who grew out of riding with her upperbody to much. I say well done. And egnore the mean comments.

  • lol ur stirrups were a bit long

  • i love how most of the video ur riding without ur stirups.. lmao.

  • lovin the lime green ^^ and pretty bad fall, you rammed into the wall! and your horse just trotted away like nothing happened! lol 5 stars

  • lol, the fall looks a lot worse than it was. Broke the helmet, but I was more embarressed than anything else. x_X lol

  • i know, dont you just hate the embarassment that you feel when you fall in front of lots of people? i hate falling period. lol

  • awesome pony..or horse? mine didnt make state he did make districts but whoa was competition tuff, well i did pony division with a 22 year old arabian, so u won? awesome

  • we won poles, but that was it ^_^

    and yeah... he's a horse 15.0hh

    thanks

  • i luv ur neon green!! its soo awesome! and i got a ? y do u keep losing ur sturrips???

  • you know, I'm not really sure exactly why I would lose em. I think it was because I rode more with my upper body than with my legs. All I know, is that I've grown out of it as I've become a better rider, lol ^_^

  • Your horse is already, so far as ive seen, very high-strung. i agree, lay off the whip. i NEVER use a whip on my arabian, because he's already hyper.

  • I wouldn't use it on Mo if he was hyper and I had to worry about him going "too fast"... However, if I do not use the crop, Mo has a tendency to get lazy through his run. I use it to reinforce and keep him moving at a consistant speed. Mo's actually a very sane horse. He has a magnificant on/off switch. Sometime's he get's a little excited, but he always waits on me if I ask him to.

  • no not GAITED i meant i like his stride he has a good canter XD

  • lol, gotcha, ^_^

  • good job...nice fall..lol:)..keep up the good work...by the way ur horse looks awesome in green!!!

  • good gaited horse lay of the wip tough ;)

  • he's not a gaited horse, lol :) he's TBxQH

  • your horse is pretty! i havent seen many of those. lol. i dont barrel race but it looked like you were gripping alot with your knees. i used to have that problem too when i posted to the trot and that made me lose my stirrups. what i did was i just let my legs completely relax and put my weight in my heels which really helped. and when you went to stop him at the end you were still squeezing him maybe thats why he didnt stop very well. but it looked like some good runs! :)

  • he was stopping, I just wasn't ready for it, lol. and yeah I rode a lot with my upper body, luckily I don't do it anymore, lol... kinda grew out of it as I became a more experienced rider :)

  • haha!! i know how that can be a problem. i ride reining horses sometimes cause my trainer trains them and he has me work on stoppin and its really hard to sit to. yea i when we are less experienced that tends to happen then we get more comfortable and we ride better..lol

  • I don't know much about western riding so I don't leave any comments on your riding, but you used your whip kinda often (and strongly!!) and that's what I didn't like - it should be forbidden in every riding discipline. Anyway, your horses is b.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l!

  • it's a tool, just like anything else people use to get a horse to go or stop, and there's far worse things out there than my little crop...

and the slow-mo exagerates the motion which makes it look worse than it really is. I hit myself more than the horse sometimes, lol

  • oh my god. GAYWAD!

  • why were ur feet out of ur sturrups(sp?) so much? lol good job i wouldnt have been able 2 ride like that w/no sturrups(sp?)

  • I'm not really sure exactly why. I think it was because, back then, I rode more with my upper body than my legs, and so there wasn't much pressure in my heel to keep my foot in the stirrup. But honestly, I can't tell ya' exactly why. All I know, is that I don't lose them anymore, lol ^_^

  • I'm likin' the green lol.

  • WOW you are a really great rider even though it was a while ago you would probably be even better now

  • gorgeous horse, you are a great rider

  • i no. it looks like u would be able to feel them, but actually u can't. its amazing. i luv texas barrels! its a lot easier than regular barrels! lol!

  • yeah, Mo has very smooth gaits. He's an awsome horse.

His texas barrels are remarkable. He changes his leads and loves weaving enough that he really doesn't have to slow down at all, except to turn the one barrel at the end. I'll have to post a video of it sometime! :) lol

  • mo has awesome lead changes during poles! amazing!

  • I know! Seriously! Honestly, I can't even feel them! Poles is actually one of his favorite event, Texas barrel's is absolute favorite. :)

  • u should make a video of u riding now

  • The PWHA show vid is one of the vids I took this year. Though, it only really shows the keyhole run. lol. ^_^

  • wat type of horse is mo? he is really pretty!

  • Thank you ^_^ Mo's an Appendix (QH x TB) :)

  • Nice job! You could do a lot better than I could ever do..lol

  • so I went to a charmaine james clinic here in MN and position is VERY important for the HORSE to balance soo for all of you that say its not important your stupid :P and 4-H shows are always fun....you never know what your horse is going to do, cool vid hun, keep riding

  • were ur stirrups too long? that happened to me at the last rodeo i went to. one stirrup was a lot longer than the other one so i fell off when i was running back from poles. i m ok but i need to make sure the strirrups are right next time! lol!

  • your a great rider! dont listen to the bad comments, you did great! and thats an awsome horse you have there, your very lucky :D

  • Thank you :)

  • nice video not really sure that horse makes a good barrel horse but hey that was 2 years ago and i know when i started off i was so much worse well ur horse is beautiful and good work

  • actually, he really does turn better. It was my fault the turns were so off. We were both so hyped, I forgot to check him up right to rate and turn, X_X lol.

Now it's like I have to work to keep him off the barrel, lol

  • ya right, id pay good money to see you run barrels with ur dressage horse. ha. that makes me laugh

  • I run barrels with my dressage horse. Heck, we were even going to do cattle penning until a hurricance caused the competition to be cancelled.

  • OMG! YOU R SO TALENTED! I THINK YOU DID WONDERFUL!!! I hope your ok, that fall looked kinda painfull, lol, I am 12 and have a WONDERFUL horse named Cody (Kisscody7, 7 my lucky # Cody my horse lol) And were geting in to barrel racing, i find it the funest thing in the world! My dream is to b the Best barrel racer in the USA, (or world :) ) And i think you did a AMAZING job!

  • Talented? Hmmmm. How long've you been riding?

  • 5 years

  • Cool. What breeds d'you ride?

  • ok, that's enough! you really need to STFU, MyHorseHead. There is no need for u to bash every positive comment that is posted in responce to this video. It is getting down right annoying and is beyond rude! I repeat again, this was about 2 years ago!! When will you get that through your head! I have improved as a rider, and Mo has honed his skills as a speed horse as well. So buzz off!!

    >:(

  • yeah~!

  • Geez, quit having litters of kittens! SORRY.

I was impressed with the fall.

  • Quit replying to me and I will.

  • thank you kisscody7 ^_^ I love the adrenaline rush, myself, lol. And the fall wasn't as bad as it looks, lol. I'm planning/hoping to become a breeder training of barrel and reining horses :)

  • When'd you say that?

  • I said it in my vid description.

  • I dun look at those.

  • Don't grip with your knees, that's why you lost your feet. Oh yes, you're doing the armchair position. Dun do that. Use your legs more.

  • I repeat, this was about 2 years ago...

  • She hade to, she didn't have her feet in the sturips!

  • MyHorseHead u don't know the first thing about speed riding do u? they don't even care about your position!!leave her alone

  • Why wouldn't I? They should. (Really, I don't want to hurt you anymore, moshoneySBM) But that position was errr, not so great.

If you haven't noticed, I have stopped. I'd leave me alone if I were you. Ask anyone else.

  • they don't so aperantly you don't know anything about speed events and let's see your position!u don't have any vids of u riding so shut up about it!!i know i don't eigther but i'm not the one blabering about if someone's pposition is crappy

  • You're partly right there. I don't EVER do speed events cuz my horse has bad bowlegs. They did care about the position in my playdays.

    Really, don't mess with me.

  • they don't care about your position all they look at is your time i mean DUH why do you think they are called SPEED EVENTS? it's not called POSITION EVENTS is it?

  • F*** off.

  • why don't you you're the one being the buttmunch

  • Cuz I don't want to.

  • to bad

  • ok, as much as I hate to admit it X_X I'm with MyHorseHead on this. My position was bad in this video (it was two years ago). And even though position isn't judged and you don't get penalized for a crappy seat, good speed runs do benefit from a good position. It helps give both the horse and rider confident balance and overall improves ride and performance.

Thanks for the support though guys (desertrider95 & HaffiesGoBla) ^_^

  • yeah you're right about that but i was just saying, they don't care

  • yeah if the riders leaning back the whole time that would give u a crappy time.but i think my position would look wierd to if i lost a stirrup

  • i wish i cood ride lik that

  • You shouldn't. It was crappy riding. Watch some dressage. Now that's good. (No offense there, moshoneySBM)

  • dressage....u mean bein in the horses mouth TWENTY FOUR SEVEN! that shit is bad for a frikkin horse....yea, it looks cool but it's not cool when u have ur horse in that position all the time, i bet ur horse hates u

  • No. And no, it's not. Yeah it's bad if your horse doesn't have the right muscles. BUT it's great. It's a really good toner, dressage.

No he doesn't. You're smrt. What d'you ride, a donkey?

  • Stop talking shit about donkeys... They're the fathers of mules and they're the greatest. I don't talk weird about boring dressage horses so just shut up <.<

  • huh... whose talking about donkeys...?

  • im sure the horse doesnt hate her and bein in the horses mouth like that is bad but i can all ways be fixed i may take time but the horse can work agian i dont like to c horses rode like that but every1 rides different i think the horse enjoy the runing to much and 4gets that he has a rider and that is why she was pulling so hard to remind him that she was there and havent seen world barrel racing they do that to but like she said this was taken two years ago

  • There's a lot more to speed riding than you think.

  • AMEN! In NBHA, you have 15 seconds to remember every little bit of training youve ever had. And if youre lucky you'll get a nice ride. Lets see you do that with dressage.

  • Excuse me...but...i find barrelracing a hell of alot better than dressage...BORING!!! And she said it was two years ago...get it in your head

  • that was weird. i lost track of what events you were doin cause it would change soo much, lol
