  • 0:56 looked like the circuit was giving off smoke hah

  • will you guys sell one for around 1000 $ Pm me if you will i will pay up to 2500$

  • 0:16 ROFL? :P

  • @Redback93 Youtube is the dumping ground for the world's dumbest people. Keep heart.

  • Why does everyone assume that this was done just to beat the game?

Whatever happened to sciencing for the sake of sciencing?

  • @SuperkingX1 Thankyou! Science rules!

  • why go this far, using queenbee or cheat codes or just mod your gamerscore

  • @WMDGamingNation The purpose for this was not to get a high score in guitar hero, it was to see if we could do it.

  • can it beat jordan

  • @masterchiefownsuall Yes, it can beat every song in the game on expert with 5 stars.

  • @sciguy14 shit dude did u make this for real this is sick as hell i am a real guitar player idc what people say this kicks ass i cant beat jordabn but i can beat every oter song on expert in every guitar hero

  • HOLY SH** your smart xD

  • Lol... ROFL

  • Isn't it easier to download "QueenBee" programm and perform a bot without any guitar controller???

  • @Igoryocheck This was more fun )

  • I liked ter messages becasue tey wher huny

  • First time watching this video. Other hidden message starting around 1:02, "I can has cheeseburger?" on the main controller board.

  • @Dexoam nice find :)

  • @Dexoam also the first chipboard says rofl xD

  • this defeats the whole purpose of the game

  • @wolfpackflt670 We did this for fun and to learn, not because we wanted to beat the game.

  • if you have electronical classes is not so complicaid at all, trust me in 13

  • Sad I actually understand everything he sad.

  • yes :O

  • K dude, I lost u b4 the danm video started

  • @Dhawk2354 :D Can you find the other hidden message?

  • @sciguy14

    The other one says lmao

  • 0:15

ROFL on the top left of the chip :)

  • nice catch :)

  • nerds !

  • The fun part was building it and getting it to work. It was an engineering challenge.

  • how cna i get a bot for my wii?

  • Visit our website and download information on how to make one.

  • noob

  • i think my mind broke...

  • then build one

  • well....i understood bout half of that...which is impressive considering im 16....but it is complicated as hell

  • @birdbrainxzx yeah, but this is kind of stupid and useless, this just means you suck at the game when you have to do all of this

  • We didn't build this to beat the game for us. Making takes wayyyy more work than it takes to just practice and get good at the game. We built it because it was a fun personal challenge.

  • holy shit thats complicated

didnt understand a word he said

  • Hey RockHero1127 ! I've download Queen Bee ! But I don't now how to use it on my XBOX --' Can you help me ?? oO'

  • shit! just download Queen Bee

  • Respect :-)

  • I really love how all the people that don't have the technological expertise to do something like this try to put us down by saying things like "we have too much time on our hands" or calling us cheaters. One up for us engineering guys/gals. Keep up the good fight.

  • sweeeeeet!!!!! good job guys!

  • From just the perspective of trying to come up with this, a way to do what you set out to do, it's very cool and I'd be proud. I love solving puzzles like that.

The only sad ones are people that'd use this.

  • it just shows how much time "nerds who live in their moms basment" have on their hands

  • 1. not nerds, geeks.

    2. We don't live in our parent's basements, we all live at our colleges.

    3. This was done at our summer internship

  • lol nice save, sciguy14. (from gatorgirl87651234s post)

  • so its pretty much a machine made for cheating douche bags

  • no, its pretty much a machine that allowed us to learn and develop our engineering and computer science skills before pursuing engineering majors at college. It's not used to "cheat". And even if it was, using ingenuity to solve a problem is not cheating, it's called being resourceful.

  • not being able to play a song on guitar hero isnt really a problem

  • I'm looking at this from a purely scientific standpoint. By problem, I don't mean something I want to do but can't, I mean a challenge.

  • Learn how to type so they can take you seriously, noob bag.

It's a "bot" made for cheating, not a machine. BOT. Get it? Bot. XD

  • way to much for just a video game. 0_o I love guitar hero but idk about all that. it would be a fun project for scool thought...

  • man i wish i could make one of those ur like a good tech person and engineer thats amazing

  • thats way to much to get 100% on a song

  • nice work mate! good to see people rather waste time playing a game they use there time to make a super awesome system to play the game for them lol awesome wish i had the know how to make something like that sure i could learn but thats time and effort lol

  • People don't understand. This is a prototype robot that was a project to be made from scratch. It's only a project you idiots, they don't do it to cheat! At the end of the day, these guys have knowledge, and I would put my money on it they have more knowledge per person than all the people on youtube whining like bitches. Great build up for the bot, I have to say it is amazing!

  • what language were you speaking cause i didnt understand anything. your way to smart

  • what the fuck. how bout juss playin the damn game and be proud of being able to reach expert on ur own

  • how about being proud of the fact that we're smart enough to build a robot that's better than you are.

  • What the fuck is the point of getting the game if your not going to play. waiste of money

  • The point of this is not to beat the game. It was gain engineering knowledge in a fun way.

  • wow... awesome...

  • play the game better

  • so what ever happened to just PLAYING THE GAME?

  • Didn't you watch the video? There is a automatic/MANUAL switch!

  • haha thats the craziest thing iv seen in a long time, Bravo

  • same here O__O

  • Seems like a lot of work for something like this.

    But hey...whatever floats your boat.

    Interesting stuff to be sure.

  • wow...great job on the bot design and the construction. To those that comment negative...you are the losers. You will be buying stuff these kids design in the future so you can sit on the couch and get fat while they get rich. HAR!

  • seriously stfu about nerd and geek they were words made up by people who think they have a life. besides you guys are acting like you are all that and your watching this. I don't think i am im just seeing if there is a guitar hero bot.

  • A geek is a person that works with techy computer stuff. A nerd is a usual WoW lover with no life.

  • A geek is a person that like tech stuff. A nerd is interest in many things (like RPG, and books like THe Lord of the Rings, comic books and all...)

And you must be a WoW lover with no life

  • You guys ROCKKK!!!

  • You people have an answer for EVERYTHING, don't you?

  • apparently.

  • One Word, 4 Letters: NERD!

  • Wrong word. GEEK.

  • what a useless contraption

  • I'd like to see you build a useless contraption that is this awesome.

  • hahahahahaha gotcha there

  • too many nerdy words!!!aurg!

  • Because it's more fun to make an intelligent robot.

  • Your just jealous... These guys are fucking brilliant.

    So stop being so ignorant....

  • my BRAIN hurts :(

  • this is a really cool work... im programmer too and know about ur grat work guys

  • Same thing has been done by the team of purepwnage, still the consept is very cool. People saying "why build a robot for that?" could ask the questiong "why not?". I bet it's fun to design something like that.

What I do wonder is how much it costs to make a system like that. Does look quite expansive

  • It's hard to give an exact price, but probably a few hundred dollars.

  • nerdbag

  • You guys completely over complicated/designed this.

The only things you need are seven relays, about four diodes, a cable and ends, then write the software to control the board you just created from a PC. This allows you to merely load song maps into your app to play any song you wish.

Keep at it - you may do something impressive soon. This solution clearly isn't impressive so you can only go up from here.

  • uh... The whole idea of this bot was to not use song charts. That's the easy way out. Our method watches the screen and decodes the note chart for itself on the fly. This allows it to play any song, including custom songs where the note chart isn't available. Anybody can load up a note chart on a controller and use relays to play the game....our solution is unique.

  • rofl at :16

  • the whole idea of this game has been blown out of proportion...i mean i dont see a point to a robot for this game....

  • this is probably the most american thing ive ever seen, i mean a robot that plays guitar hero for us, seriously lol

  • Is there a way to BUY or GET SOMEHOW a bot??

    Instead of buying a chip?

  • At this moment, we only have one bot and it is not for sale. If you read through the "how it works" section on our site, there is enough information to build your own. You just need some electronics and programming experience.

  • than how do so many ppl and kids get bots?

  • To my knowledge, there aren't a lot of people with guitar hero bots, and there are none that work like ours does... Some people have boards that they solder on and they program in the note chart for one song...but that can only play one song.

  • so how do u solder on on boards?

  • You have to do some reverse engineering and figure out which electrical contacts in the guitar activate which buttons.

  • omg nerds

  • omg thanks for the compliment.

  • np, i was tired then, but seriously this is a unnessesary built just download an autobot then burn on a cd or something u don't need this shit it's to much

  • Where's the fun in that? The purpose of this project was not just to find a way to do better in guitar hero. The idea was to make a cool project that would allow us to improve our engineering skills, and build our knowledge base. This accomplished that in a fun manner.

  • Yeah, but it cost so much >:O

  • education is expensive. It was worth it.

  • I'm with you man, I'm interested in building a bot just to see if I can. There is a good chance I'll learn a lot, and I'm sure it's a real pain in the arse. It's gonna be a blast.

    Thanks for the video...

  • no, please explain. I'm curious what you are talking about. Are you just kidding? (Sarcasm can be hard to interpret online :)

  • ? huh

  • so can you use for for many different songs??? since it says that it detects the note

  • Yes, it can play any song. We have not yet found one that it cannot play.

  • if u create a song that has an impossible note. will it bend reality of the bot? rofl

  • the bot can handle anything. Even if its not a real note.

  • i saw a vid where bot missed D: its like world most impossible gh2 song or sometin

  • nope, bloodblitz made a video. a bot failed one of his songs

  • fuck that too much work

  • can u buy a bot?

  • not at this time

  • what don't you understand? visit our website, and perhaps you will be able to get a better grasp on how it works. :)

  • But how do you make the Guitar Hero Bot?

  • It's an extremely complicated process of reverse engineering the controller, and designing/testing control schemes. It's essentially trial and error. WE will try to post some schematics at some point.

  • Is trying to do this risky like could you damage your own controller or something if you do it wrong or make a mistake?

  • There is certainly the risk to damage your controller. Keep in mind that you are modifying it...

  • I has absolutely no use at all, unless you wanna cheat your way up in some online competition.

But I can still see the fun in creating it.

  • what's the point of having that it you cant play it? why would you want a robot doing it for you? these geeks are so wasting time

  • Because it's an engineering challenge, and it was fun to get it working.

  • That's awesome. That's all I can say.

  • That's quite impressive guys, fantastic achievement! Keep up the good work! :)

  • nice

  • yeah can that play without someplay

  • what does that mean??
