  • formidable chanson pas assez reconnue pour ma part

  • Man i luv tis music,

  • love this vid s'like watching an impressionist painting come to life

  • best from best deep forest !

  • this is one of my fave deep forest tracks. However, the music is not Hungarian but actually recordings from indigenous people who they taped and never paid. Then of course infused with techno like beats. It's a controversial topic but true. I learned about this song and its origins in a world music class.

  • my love!!!!

  • Merveilleuse musique comme sweet lullaby

    love

  • i recall when i bought this CD years ago this was my favorite on it. At the same time there are so many song i like on the disc. Very relaxing music set my mind at peace.

  • Wonderful song

  • If one wakes up with this song, the day is going to be good.

  • @merryprawn

It is exact, you are right

  • oddychać tak głęboko jak się da, kochac swe życie do końca i być na tak.

  • this song brought back so much emotions........

  • i love this song + this video. to me, this video represents the world.

  • Man i love this song. This kind of music along with Mike Oldfield and Enigma really feeds my soul.My whole childhood went by listening to this kind of music. So many memories!

  • @matea977 Same here. I love Deep Forest and I grew up with Enigma. I didn't get into the things kids got into when I was growing up. They listened to country, rap, screeching metal music and Alt rock. I was writing poetry and books, planning my future as an author and listening to this type of music. I didn't fit in and I'm so glad I didn't. These songs are deep and they don't need lyrics to touch your very soul.

  • @InDeAskY1 Well believe it or not i'm still a kid myself.Well not really i am close to being 20,i actually listen to many things and types of music most of them with a hard beat but Ambient music is always gonna be my favorite because it shows me what real music is all about.Text songs are nice but the real music is silent music where words have no meaning.

  • @matea977 I'm almost 35 and I've been deeply into this type of music since I was 14. I 1st heard Enigma when I was 14 and it opened a whole new world to that music, like Deep Forest and Amethystium.

  • We all float down here ...

  • Nice song

  • Great song and video ! Thank you, for posting this.

  • i thought deep forest, is from the congo, the pigmi tribe, please i stand corrected, help me if iam wrong

  • @guiana1000 <They're French

  • @luigihope singing many parts in a weird gypsy-hungarian mixture...

  • @guiana1000 The actual band is a group of French guys, but they recorded the Pygmies and mixed it.

  • @guiana1000 try to find more via internet about DEEP FOREST

  • @guiana1000 @guiana1000

Deep Forest is a musical group consisting of two French musicians, Michel Sanchez and Eric Mouquet. They compose a new kind of world music, sometimes called ethnic electronica, mixing ethnic with electronic sounds and dance beats or chillout beats. Their sound has been described as an "ethno-introspective ambient world music.

  • On one their worst albums is one their best songs - this one!

  • @Mattteus I personally enjoy the whole album, I can hear it from beginning to end non skipping, but hey, that's the beauty of opinions, we are all entitled to our own. Cheers!

  • @luigihope oh, I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the album but when you compare their albums this one isn't as good as their others and therefor would be considered the worst

  • @luigihope Well said. Your a good soul.

  • @Mattteus deep forest has a worst album? lol.

  • I really like the video for this, Its how I feel when I really get into the music. Like im floating in a pool of watery bliss :)

  • hungarian language

  • @vocelka are you sure?

  • 世の中の私の敵が多すぎました…!!。ほとほと疲れました…!!。

  • 世の中の私の敵が多すぎました…!!。ほとほと疲れました…!!。

  • Superba...nu ma mai satur de ea.

  • No way, it's not Csango, it's part Roma (probably Lovari) and partly Hungarian (sung by Roma people) and party sg completely different. The Csango are originally ethnic Hungarians living on the eastern side of the Carpathian mountains in Romania. But that's a completely different style.

  • @Lanovkaaa Yeah well, I am from nowhere near that region in the world so I wouldn't be able to differentiate, what I can tell you is that other songs from the same album are sing in the Csangó language and this one sounds very similar, I have investigated as much as I could and I have gotten confirmation from hardcore fans that this is Csangó, so unless you know something we don't, like the language itself...

  • @luigihope Hi, of course I didn't mean to be offensive, hope you didn't take it like that. To be sure, Csango is a bit archaic Hungarian, but it's still Hungarian. These people partly sing in specifically Roma language (again I think it's Lovari, which is an Indo-European language, nothing to do with Hungarian).Gypsy/Roma people living in the Carpathian basin speak often both Hungarian and Lovari. Here they sing in both. But the Csango are ethnic Hungarians, you can't mix up the two.

  • @luigihope also, if you search " Moldvai Csango" here on YT you'll find some stuff to compare- enjoy!

  • @luigihope It's a Roma song about being sent to the concentration camps. Since the Roma were all over Easter Europe at that time, and the Roma language reflects this, it contains a little bit of everything.

  • @fgschneider1970 O the black bird went into my heart and stole it. Here I live in auschtwitz here in auschtwitz I'm hungry, there isn't a piece of bread to eat. there isn't nothing to eat here its all my bad luck. at one time I had my home. I'm so hungry I could kill. oh oh Jesus. OH OH.

  • @fgschneider1970 Thanks for the additional info. I hope that someone can give us the lyrics someday. It's been 4 years since I uploaded and no one has been able to provide yet. Cheers

  • @Lanovkaaa you are probably right, i have had all of Deep Forrest music since the 90's and i read where each one was made, i love their music, it is so different from others. i used to listen to marta's song.

  • i like this music

  • It is hungarian! But I cant understand a word even if Im hungarian.I can pick up a few words, but they dont make any sence...

  • I think it's called Roma

  • Love the video and song real beautiful

  • views 400k :(

  • Yeah, these sounds are a little bit distorted, so it is hard to figure out what is it about. O.O I cannot understand a word.

Once I found this lyrics, on the official page (that black one), but now I cannot find it.

I guess at 1:18 the man says: Oda nézz, szép babám, az ágyra! / Look, my beautiful babe, at the bed!

  • lovely song:)

  • eart souls in the consentrate oxigen,,,,nice.......extraordinary....

  • Memories....

  • Comment removed

  • you've got to be kidding me, how is this so. fucking. badass.

  • Great song. I don't understand lyrics of this song, but the melody is great!!

  • It is Csango. The Csangos is the part of the Hungarians. Im Hungarian and I understand it, but not the all.

  • Thank you for the one who upload this... I have CD this before but my friend never return it to me. It's a beautiful hungarian music. I love this music.

  • @slamstein76 You're welcome

  • @slamstein76 haha same exact thing happened to me! Been looking for it for years, and found two copies at McKay's a couple months ago. I got them both. lol.

  • I love it so much. The melody reminds me the north africa. Hope all humans will able to find their peace someday.

  • great, thank you so much for posting, beautiful

  • yeah..........:)

  • I wonder the same. Is it perhaps Romani? Anyone who could identify?

  • @Qwampire It is called Csangó. An old language spoken in some small villages in Romania, it is my understanding that it comes from the gypsies that migrated from Hungary but don't quote me on that one. No one has been able to provide lyrics yet.

  • @luigihope No way, this is part Roma language (I think Lovari for that matter), part Hungarian, sung by Roma people and part sg completely different. The Csango are ethnic Hungarians living on the eastern side the Carpathian mountains in Romania. Most of them now probably identifiy themselves as Romanian- although they're not Orthodox but Catholic.

  • What language is it in?

  • @SpZ777

    Hungarian

  • @SpZ777 Csango

  • @SpZ777 Almost all songs by Deep Forest are written in different rare/or dead languages mixed together. This is just the lingva as I call it.

  • Class

  • can you enable embedding on this video?

i want to share it on facebook.

  • cool

  • this song is so heroic!

    I just love it.

  • welcome to my world!!!! :) xoxoxoxoxooxoxoxox

  • No one has yet said what it means...those words put before are the lyrics of Bohemian Ballet, NOT this song. Ive asked Hungarian and Bulgarian and none of them understood a word so I think it could be (for its sound) rom language of gipsies, but haven't had the chance to ask. It's time for D. Forest to tell us where they took this from, who sings, etc. I've been looking for this for 12 years now, that comment about it being from transilvania is almost the same as lying or saying nothing at all.

  • wonderful

  • This is an awesome vid.

  • I think the video doesn't fit with the song at all, not to me anyway, but I love the song and have since I first heard it. :)

  • I think it all depends on what you get from the song, 4 different races coming together, seem like a very good metaphor for world music.

  • Niesamowita, wzruszająca muzyka!!! Piekne...

  • @jpea1967 OMG, it is up until know that I went ahead and listened to the CD and hear the original song, you are absolutelly right, it is way less distorted than what you hear on the Boheme track. Maybe someone could translate that.

  • Wspaniała muzyka!!

  • I dunno what it is about dads, but mine played this constantly as i was growing up. i still borrow the CD's from him constantly, and it remains one of my favorite music groups.

  • That's so funny, cos I actually started liking this group through my dad too lol He would always play it in the car... lol I guess our dads are all part of that Deep Forest generation, and it's just amazing how they've manage to pass that onto us... pretty cool.
