As I recall, this was the sessions Don Felder mentioned for material written in the reunion phase and their record company heard the tracks and cited them as not WORTHY! Can you believe that??! The famous Eagles' Harmonies on Long Road Out of Eden show the song does stand up!
Have had the pleasure to hear the Eagles perform the song live, Paul perform the song live, and Paul and Timothy perform the song together live. All great in their own way. I'm looking forward to hearing Paul sing it again next month. Superb talent.
I heard Timothy's version first, so it was the standard for me to measure from. I actually heard this for the first time in a Kohl's department store, and downloaded it. I listen to this version more now than Timothy's, mostly because this one's a little bit more upbeat. But both versions are equally good, IMO.
hi guys, im in a bit of a pickle !!! im trying to find a song by paul carrack which has the lyrics if i didnt love you in the song, (im sure this is correct). i hope u guys can help.
I love both Paul's version and Tim's. They are both fantastic! Tim's show's a little more vulnerability. I am always delighted to hear Paul sing this in his live concerts.
fyfter// the best voice in music history???.is possibly Benny Mardones..(80s hit ..into the night)or Chuck Negron (three dog night)..or Brad Delp..or Tom Jones..??,,,,,,,,.Carrack is a great talent and writer ,,,a nice guy.. he would be the first to say these guys mentioned are better..
@shadoww1000 yea coz hes modist and kind, but we all no he far out does any singer past or present........tom jones hahaha take yrself outside and hose yrself down, he is fu**in dreadful!!
re the debate, I'm a huge carrack fan, so obviously I think he edges it, but Schmidt did a really terrific version, very close. The real thing is, how on earth does carrack keep on producing songs of this quality year after year decade after decade?
They should have had it as "Paul Carrack I dont want to hear anymore feat. Timothy B Schmit!"
