Press R repeatedly and very quickly. Doing that will speed you up when going uphill or the first part of the loop. But when upside-down or downhill, it slows you down... enough to stop you. Hope that helps! I don't play mkds anymore btw, I've moved on to mkwii.

i found a better way
i used AR to put myself in MEGA size, then unlimited stars, press B and R, then hey presto: done!!! (cus u fill almost tthe whole track)
