In regards to the argument taking place below, I've been a fan of DH since Mark of the Judas and this is hardly a "return to form". It may be more similar to the sound on Sadist Nation, but the old Darkest Hour that was about fast and catchy hardcore-inspired songs without 6-minute playing times and long instrumental interludes is probably gone forever.

In my opinion, Kris and Lonestar both have advantages over each other for different reasons. Personally I love them both, and I LOVE Darkest Hour's sound on this, I think it's more melo-death than their old stuff was ( I mean the pre-Norris era) and I think Lonestar replacing Norris played a considerably large role in that. So props to them both.

This is REAL Darkest Hour, a true return to form. Raw aggression, not prog-metal wankery with pointless sweep picking in every solo.

Kriss Norris was great but he always messed up his solos live and never pulled off his stuff, but now DH is better live than they've ever been. This album is a return to form for DH, good for them.

They need to remember why they backed away from their roots in the first place.
