Leave it [ha!] 2 trevor horn to produce yes' new disc. he is gonna get benoit's yes right. the chance he had 30 yrs all over again, lookout jon a. you'll be back but wat the heck.
Nothing worse for a keyboardist than a malfunctioning keyboard rig.Must of driven Oliver nuts.Guess these kind of things happen when the band can't keep the kind of road crew around they used to.I've come to enjoy Oliver's playing alot more than i used to.He has indeed improved greatly.Looking forward to the upcoming release of the dvd of the Union tour. They've kept it in the closet for along time. It's another play by them trying to bleed their existing fans dry.How about some new music.
I just watched to the 1973 live recording of Roundabout. It's amazing! This is .... well... fine, but there's no heat. Yes is my favorite band so I don't want to say it's time to stop but this just doesn't come close to what they can do.
Wow...not bad Benoit David is very close to Anderson, and Oliver is basically a clone of his father...this version is almost as good as the one on Yessongs, although i still wish Jon Anderson was in the group.
Sorry...but Beniot makes me wanna puke! What a mess this band has become. Are they just a bunch of grumpy old men? Can't they work out any differences they have with Jon and re unite? This is by far, the worst version of Yes ever.
@yesiammark: I think Jon Anderson is actually sick with a respiratory illness. Both he and Rick Wakeman no longer participate because they are in poor health and their conditions don't allow for it.
yes but while Rick is away you can't really do much better than getting his son to fill in. Also, Anderson can't sing very well anymore because of his lung problems.
Yes should be ashamed to present themselves this way. Keyboardist has 1/5 the talent that Wakeman has. Benoit no where near Anderson, either. I have followed this band since 1970 and this makes me sad
Dog - you should get ALL your facts straight before commenting because otherwise you sound stupid! The keyboardist MIGHT have 1/5th the talent - but he IS a Wakeman. That is Oliver Wakeman, the SON of Rick Wakeman. He might not have the talent of his father - but he definitely has the same look his dad had bad in the day. For me, what makes me sad is how OLD Steve Howe looks in this video. But Thanks Justisza for posting it - they're coming to town just as a Blizzard roared into town.
Then you must have really hated Drama in 1980...and 90125 in '84...since of course Jon didn't since lead on the first and shared it with Trevor Rabin on the later...
Actually, I'm shocked at how good Benoit D is...he's pretty damn good and very close to the sound I heard in Lakeland Fl twice in the 70's.
I've been listening/watching the band since 74...and this is as good as then...
I have to disagree. If you actually have been following Yes, that is Rick Wakeman's son, Oliver. And I'll admit Benoit doesn't sound too good in this video, but he has had much better days where I must admit he sounds better than Anderson has in the past 10 years.

The epitome of "having balls" is getting up there in Jon Anderson's place.

i hope you know that "the keyboardist" is Oliver Wakeman, Rick's son.

I agree with you on Benoit, they shouldn't continue without Anderson, but Oliver Wakeman is pretty good, plus he is the son of the legend himself...
