i have that rod in med/light its cheap but works great ive landed some big fish etc salmon, pike, trout, sea bass, large mouths in florida there great rods and really cheap and light weight really holds its own with my expencive rods
This is a great idea however I would recommend letting the re-bar stick 2 or 3 inches above the PVC pipe so you can pound on the top of the re-bar without hitting the PVC.
in most cases i just make myself a little longer piece of pvc pipe and cut a point and the bottom of it and then u can just put it into the ground no need for the other stuff !
@BigJoesfishing Yeah you can do that. But in Bay city Michigan The ground is rocky and hard. So that's why I use steel rebarb. Thanks for checking out my video.
@jgreenleaf18 thats true, i bought one of those cheap ass wal-mart short ones & i hooked a huge frickin' 5 ft gar and he bent that short piece on rod backwards!
yeah, They work really good too! Holds your pole real good. Plus because of the steal re barb being kinda long. The pole sits in the holder right at knee level. So there's no bending down to grab it.
dud i made 2 of these and they worked awsome

Just made it. I didn't bother with the clamps, but rather just put the pvc on the rebarb and slid it down.
