I like those directors you mentioned but I hate all the SAW movies just in terms of direction, acting and because I found half the movie predictable.
The only thing I liked with the musical score.
However, everyone has different tastes and to cmompare SAW with you average Uwe Boll movie doesn't even come close.
SAW is overrated, Uwe Boll movies are pure shit. Big difference.
