I LOVE England being a father/big brother figure to young!America.

But I also LOVE Adult!America/England.

I've always figured that nations have a different relationship than regular people; they can love and hurt like people, but they also know their roles can change as their positions in the world do.

That's why I love how England cared for America, in a paternal way (when America needed him that way), but later had to see him as a man, a nation, and an equal (and possibly love him as such).
